Yes the hotel is recommended but only for families with children!
Couples who want to relax are out of place here.
As much as I like children, I don't need children's screaming on vacation from morning to night. In this hotel it is like in the children's camp. Are more children as adults present.
The staff is very friendly, the food is good. The Family Room Superior is very spacious and nice. The spa is nice and the massages are recommended.

Unfortunately, there is a lack of cleanliness in certain areas. But it's more because some parents don't have their children under control and let everything mess up!
This hotel is called Falkensteiner Hotel but the standard leaves much to be desired.

Everything about this place is amazing! Five star rating doesn't give it justice. More like 10 stars on a 5 star scale.

We were here for the second time, we really like it here. The proximity to the sea, the pool area, the hotel, the room, the food, the staff — I wouldn't know anything to criticize. Just great.

A dream hotel! All inclusive on high quality level : very good food, tasty snacks from the bar, variety of delicious drinks to choose. Beach is located right next to the hotel, additionally with four pools which one of them is heated. Daily room service, which did everything to meet our expectations. 100 percent recommendation. We were transfered from a different place which was overbooked so we were a little bit worried at the beginning but it turned out were happy with the results. Great place.

I got salmonella from their food 2014. Was hospitalized for two weeks after the holiday. When we contacted the hotel afterwards about my illness, they didn't care. I don't recommend this hotel.

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful country. All inclusive at this hotel provides an unbelievable range of high quality food and drinks, the spa facilities are luxurious and staff are lovely people. Children are very well catered for, they are happy and so parents (and other guests) are too. We would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Just spent 9 nights here had a brilliant time the hotel and rooms were lovely and all the staff were brilliant the children loved the kids club and entertainment especially falky.

Nicely organised hotel for family with kids. Very good food, service and location. Bike rwnt included. Our room could be refreshed a bit but the whole stay was pleasant.

I just visited the beach and I have not been inside the hotel, but it seems amazing from outside and the facilities look great. The beach is good for kids as it has shallow sandy part and a lot of natural shade, but a bit overcrowded for my taste and water is not very clean.

Contradictory hotel mostly for families with small childrenThis hotel tries to be the best… but every time something happens to ruin this attempt. The food pretends to be 4* and even meat and fish from grill are good but some "plastic" vegetables and deluted wine set it back to the " could be better" level. And you'd better don't know what they do with coctails at the pool bar : (. Including smoking adults and screaming children. But the pools, rooms are pleasant and comfortable, the staff is nice, helpful and friendly. Verdict: Better to choose another hotel if your kids are over 15yo.

We have just got back home after our lovely 10 days stay at Falkensteiner Funimation Borik. We loved it so much last year, we came back again this year! The staff have been absolutely amazing, super helpful and very friendly.
We stayed in the newly refurbished part of the hotel, in their family superior suite with a sea view. The room was a fantastic size for me, my husband and our 2 daughters, it was kept clean on a daily basis.
There was always a superb selection of food from breakfast to dinner and snacks were available at all times.
We would definitely stay here again. Our kids had a fantastic time, they loved the Funimation team this year but they also missed the team from last year.
The best things about this hotel are the staff, the food, facilities and their clean rooms!

Amazing place, really well placed, next to Zadar which is a beautiful lovely town. The hotel is right next to the beach where you can find a lot of activities (jet ski, water ski, pedalboat…). The staff is also very nice and it's great to see and talk to them. The entertainment team is fun, they come up with many activities everyday and are very entertaining. In this hotel, you will find many families with small children (2-12 years approximately) but the place is big enough in order for you to be able to rest without being disturbed. Regarding to the food you can get at the hotel's restaurant, it is also good. I wouldn't say amazing but there is a lot of choice and so, you can always find something you like. That's why I gave this hotel 5 stars! Enjoy your stay there, it's worth it.

I was more or less staying alone at the Adriana next door — a place geared for couples and though the staff was so welcoming there, it still made me feel a bit out of place being a younger woman. That fact is why I actually spent a good amount of my "working vacation" hanging out at the Barbara Bar. Each of the staff members there were so incredible and spoiled me more than I have ever encountered. After a few days of getting to know Ante at the bar, I confided in him that I didn't enjoy the idea of the set menu dinner style at the Adriana — at which point he had immediately phoned his Food and Beverage Manager, Ivica. A short while later, Ivica himself came into the bar and invited me to have dinner at the buffet for this hotel whenever I would like; he even provided me with the inclusive wristband. Every employee that I pleasure of being served by at this bar was just as inviting and enjoyable as these two gentlemen were. Each one went out of their way to make me feel included, which was not necessary. However, it was truly appreciated. I became "well-known" around that hotel, given my single status staying at a honeymooners hotel; yet I never felt singled out or not included because of the staff's genuine kindness with each interaction. Even the substitute bartender from a different hotel in the complex (maybe the Donat? ) made me feel right at home, just like the bar's actual staff.

The hotel operates on the system: "ultra all inclusive", excellent nature of Croatia, several views of the beach near the hotel, proximity to the old town, the sea organ, beautiful town hall, sea marina, city discos and bars for all tastes, in walking distance is available and Supermarket!
Great, stylish solutions of absolutely all spaces in the hotel, the unchanging atmosphere and the young energetic team of the hotel, will make your stay unforgettable and memorable! Guys! Thank you for your work! I want to come back to you again and again!

It Is a beautiful and heavenly place. There are pools and a great beach with a small pier. The SPA is the TOP. Particularly suitable for families. Children can be entrusted to a solar team and very sweet that besides giving them a look, will entertain them. All The staff: reception, bar, pool, spa, chefs were gorgeous!

Nice hotel but the food during lunch and dinner isn't the best. Big slices of pork (bacon? ) is more boiled than fried. I ended up going into the city to eat instead. Everything else is great.

We are very disappointed with our stay. How can we call it a club, there is no animation during the day and in the evening;
The heated pool is very dirty.
The dishes of the buffets are repetitive, (the beef broth is an example)
Don't you know how to prepare a fish soup for example!
A gala buffet does not improvise by putting a tablecloth and a candle on the tables. I saw shrimp only on the brochure.
The restaurant is too noisy, a station hall.
The all inclusive formula at the bar is disappointing, no choice in your alcohols substitute
In the rooms, not super clean the furniture is repaired to the snatch, on the balcony I was afraid to lean on the bodyguard.
The buildings deserve a serious facelift.

Great friendly staff that speaks foreign languages. Great buffet breakfast and dinner. Lunch was so so. Heated outdoor and indoor pool. Fantastic views from rooms.

An imposition for all persons living here as well as tourists who are not hotel guests. Incredible swirl until the late evening hours of the people living here as much as individual tourists who have booked this district as a quarter for their relaxing holiday. Capitalism in pure culture; Falkensteiner creates jobs without any regard for the environment. Riot and entertainment at any price. Hotel guests pay, a district may pay for it. As an Austrian, one can be ashamed of this. A miserable example of style that seeks its comparisons on the Spanish islands, which are overflowing with forced fittings.

Falkensteiner blocked the access to the beach/sea and you can only pass or go to the beach if you pay. Nothing is provided though in the price. Also, the idea of having a private sea is kindof exagerated.

The room is well above what we expected, great facilities and food so varied that it is impossible to find anything you like!

After reading all reviews and seeing the fotos from the hotel, we expected more than what we experienced during our visit. The condition of the hotel wasn't as good as we expected. Specially the bathroom, where the roof looked cracked and the shower doors where broken. However we where surprised by the restaurant, it's only one and a buffet. But they managed to have a good variety of food that tasted really good. The service from the staff was very good, all very friendly and helpful. Also for us it was weird that the all-inclusive stopped at 22:00 hours and all drinks etc are not inluded. We are used with all-inclusive that actually includes EVERYTHING and that work ALL the time. The ice cream in the restaurant is included but not the one in the pool bar, because who likes ice cream close to the pool area? Falky land, the small area for kids was good, the animators worked hard to entertain the kids. Our daughter liked to go there a lot.

I didn't sleep there and I didn't pay anything but the free swimming pool (easily accessible by the left side or even by the beach entrance) is awesome! Once in the swimming pool, the water is just perfectly warm, even on the outside part. I frankly thank them a lot not to mind too much about strangers Go on guys, they like seeing strangers in their pool.

Structure dated but well maintained. Clean and good organization. Note the food: lots of things but nothing good, starting from breakfast until dinner. Too bad. Other negative point for the sea: the beach with direct access is not that great. Beautiful beaches, however, are located a short distance (10 minutes by car). Nice spa and nice the numerous pools with maxi slide.

Functional facility with direct access to a nice beach by the sea. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is good, but could be a little more varied. The facility is for families with children from 3 years optimized. The child care and the program are well organized. The infrastructure is no longer the Freshest but mostly ok. Those who have a nice family vacation plans is definitely in the right place. Price/performance is good.

It is the pool as the land eating everywhere and everything it's just know it's totally great man's can not describe it's so good the words to explain it, not to rich man's must have seen.

Pure holiday hotel. Room needed smell. Practical furnishings.
Never take wine or beer from the tap in the self service! Fruit flies, which are then in the wine or BER accumulate in the tap. Happened to me in February! Better ask the wine for a closed bottle. Breakfast is in buffet form.

Fun animation Borik is exactly the right hotel for families with children. You can relax well, the kids have a lot of fun, the staff is very friendly and the food is awesome.
