It is a very unique hotel with amazing views. We feel like it's just us in the middle of the jungle.

Very nice place good attention is a paradise on a mountain I will go waooo again highly recommended and the craft beer is great.

An excellent experience, exceeded my expectations and this place has become one of my favorite places I have visited, beautiful rooms, service and special attention of each collaborator, and the delicious food made with quality ingredients, fresh, that make a difference, and make you want to come back and recommend them by much without hesitation.

The hotel in it is beautiful but the layout of the rooms allows the noise to go too far! We stayed two nights and the second night was terrible, it was literally like having two crazy or more walking on the roof most of the night, you can hear the footsteps and the noise too! It hurts because the hotel is nice but you don't look for this on vacation.

Spectacular place! This place is in the cloud forest area in Monteverde, Costa Rica and is one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed.

We loved Hotel Belmar. Excellent service, gorgeous rooms and views of Monteverde, and their commitment to sustainability is really impressive. SAVIA is an experience we’ll remember for a long time. It’s the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

A wonderful and unique experience. Beautiful room with great views of the valley and the pacific. Staff was warm and so very friendly. Breakfast was to die for and the restaurant for dinner was fantastic as well. Highly, highly recommended ❤️

We stayed at Hotel Belmar for 1 night while touring Costa Rica! They have the most helpful staff I’ve ever had the pleasure to deal with. Nina at the reception desk, Paul who helped you us with our luggage at check in, Will Nunez our tour guide, Diego Z who helped with our luggage at check out and the servers and bartenders. I have never experienced such service before. We will definitely be back and will stay longer at the Belmar. The night and morning hikes were breathtaking and Will was very knowledgeable in all things. Thank you all!

My son and I stayed here this week and left our passports/son’s wallet in our safe. After calling, they had it delivered to us at our next destination. Above and beyond. Besides their superb service, hotel had great views and is 100% sustainable. Highly recommend staying here!

Luxury in the cloud forest, clean comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, lots of art, superb views, weather in the 60's in early September. Be prepared for 18 km of unpaved, VERY rugged Mountain road to to St Elana, also a short unpaved section reach the hotel. Worth the trek, definitely.

This was one of the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The service was amazing. They offered free yoga classes which was very enjoyable. The staff answered all of our questions and served us refreshing drinks when we arrived.

BUYER BEWARE! If you book a reservation at Hotel Belmar in Monteverde, Costa Rica and for some unforeseen reason your plans change, note the reservation you have signed off on states you must cancel THIRTY DAYS in advance otherwise you won't get your money back. Two weeks before our departure date (honeymoon) we were not able to travel internationally and had to cancel our reservation. We gave TWO WEEKS notice and they would not refund our $500 USD. Horrible policy. The staff was completely unsympathetic and didn’t offer a credit for a later date. Horrible customer service! thieves.

Service at the restaurant was less than one would expect for this level of hotel and dinner was underwhelming. They completely botched my moms birthday, brought a small dry dessert after we were up from the table. Breakfast service was improved. Better hotel options in the area at lower prices.

Very comfortable beds! No A/C but the rooms have venting windows or fans and is comfortable, at least my experience in April. No TVs in the room. Spotty cell service but dependable Wi-Fi; cell service is fine once u get down the hill back to the city. Great views! Free coffee and tea whenever you want. The self guided trail is very pretty, and the fish pond is cute. They have a juice bar, jacuzzi, yoga studio, and gift shop. The concierge is very helpful. Food is good at the restaurant.

An amazingly welcoming, ecologically-responsible, warm yet quiet hotel. A home away from home. Impeccable intuitive service, breathtaking views. Unforgettable stay. Highly recommended.

Worst hotel in Costa Rica bed bugs! They introduce themselves as luxury hotel one thing there not is luxury, very dirty rooms bed sheets with blood stain on them, smelly rooms and worst of all bed bugs, very unpleasant staff we couldn’t think about spending our second night in the hotel and left one day earlier, go elsewhere if you have the option, there are much nicer hotels in Costa Rica.

Do not waste your money. Rooms were not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. Dirty linens, rooms needed fresh paint and stains on furniture. Stayed in the Peninsula suite the first night and sink didn’t drain properly. Stay in the Nicoya suite the second night. It has pretty views, but not worth the money if you intend on sleeping at all. Due to poor construction, the wind made so much noise throughout the room that the sound could not even be drowned out with headphones. You’re better off saving the cash and staying elsewhere.

Stayed three nights at the hotel Belmar-chic on the local terms 3-star hotel with a comfortable atmosphere and individual service. The hotel is decorated in a French style and renovated in 2011. Lovely wooden houses, dinner and breakfast with natural juices in the restaurant in the courtyard. Is an hour's drive from the airport and next to POAs National Park and Cloud forest. Friendly staff, great room cleaning and even a private spa. Recommend.

Beautiful hotel and the staff and management are top notch. Breakfast is included with your reservation and is outstanding. It's nice to know that they locally source everything from meats, coffee and herbs. The grounds are gorgeous and beautiful for an evening walk. Everything you need is here. The management makes sure your every need is taken care of. Thank you!

Beautiful sunset views at the 4:30 to 5:30 pm happy hour times are the best in town for a relaxing experience after a day of nature hikes.

Excellent place to relax and have unforgettable experiences with meals from the garden to the table very fresh and delicious juices in the juice bar 100% recommended.

Super cute wood house. Very nice stuff and good food. They promote green living. Everything is grow in their own farm. The back yard is a great place for bird watching. I really like this place.

Stayed here with my family for 2-3 nights, just beautiful property, breakfast on the terrace was just magical, the rooms were gorgeous with amazing views, very comfy beds and of course we had a jacuzzi and the almost outdoor shower which again offered the stupendous views to the outside. The only downside were the innumerable insects even though all windows/ doors etc were shut but that’s CR for you!

Loved our stay here. The room we stayed in was clad in wooden panels with wide windows looking out all the way to the Gulf and a jacuzzi ont eh balcony! The restaurant is actually some of the nicer food you'll find in Monteverde and they brew their own beer which is amazing! For the non-beer drinkers their cocktails are amazing and do a happy hour too which, given that it rains quite a bit here, makes for a great way to while away some time in the evening.

This place is amazing, the people, the food and the lodging is much more than I expected.

Beautiful location, grounds and facilities. It has a really authentic jungle lodge feel about it, with traditional, dark wood interiors and carefully maintained gardens. There's a nice walking trail which circles around the back of the hotel, where we spotted capuchin monkeys and a cotie. The service level from staff is very high and we were made to feel very welcomed. The restaurant has stunning views over the cloud forest and the with the complimentary coffee you could just sit there for hours! Tip: try the Cerro Amigos trail for something a little more strenuous. The trail itself is nothing special, just a steep climbing road, but the views across the cloud forests from the peak are wonderful.

My last day here today after 2 nights and it's been great. My room had a really comfy bed and a balcony over looking some wonderful views. I had dinner both nights and the food was excellent. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. A special Thanks to the staff that organised a private night tour for me as they were normally in small groups however I am travelling on my own. The guide took me out with his son and we saw so much wildlife you wouldn't see in the day, they were very knowledgable and friendly. All round brilliant. Thank you.

Excellent service. Each of the staff consistently went out of the way to honor any of requests. Very helpful in helping us set up outside activities including tours through the cloud forest, zip lining and even transportation to our next destination. Restaurant food and service also excellent.

What a magnificent hotel! The restaurant and service are excellent and our room was fabulous with a deck and a breathtaking view of the cloud forest! I highly recommend staying here and I would definitely return!

This hillside luxury hotel in the heart of Monteverde not only brews some of the most flavorful and technically sound beer in Costa Rica, they have a legitimately talented kitchen as well, and they have an absolutely gorgeous view south and west down to the Nicoya peninsula and the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant offers tables on the outdoor patio overlooking the hillside garden area which seems to be constantly buzzing with exotic birds. The whole package is here, superb beer, genuinely nice service, and cuisine that shows attention to detail. If we could have booked rooms (all full) we would have stayed here for the entirety of our time in Monteverde.

Went here for a weeks stay for my honeymoon. The service is incredibly friendly and organized. They even did our entire itinerary from morning to night. We stayed in two different rooms and both were incredible cozy, romantic and spacious. The food also was very tasty, fresh and healthy and presented to you very nicely. I even loved their shampoo and purchased it to take home with me. My husband and I would love to go back and recommend them with out hesitation.

Incredible staff, incredible view, incredible facility. Beautiful walking path behind the building which provides free yoga. Highly recommended.

Only went here for smoothies after a hike. The lobby and view are very nice. Good smoothies and the staff is excellent.

The restaurant is fabulous. They have a garden in the back of their hotel, so the herbs and produce are exceptionally fresh. My favorite dish is the spinach ravioli. Luis Carlos makes fantastic cocktails and always offers a friendly smile. I love this place!

Amazing food, exceptional staff, farm to table, cares about its people not just the guests but all the staff and is a leader in being responsible for the impact on the environment. Amazing views, they brew their own beer. Just walking in you feel relaxed and restored. A must visit when in Monteverde.

I stayed at Hotel Belmar for 2 nights, just to have access to the Cloud Forest and Coffee plantations. Boy, that was silly! We could have stayed at Hotel Belmar our entire week-long vacation, even though we are typically beach hounds! The staff, food, and views are simply the best. The beer is great, and the cocktails, I must say, are unbelievable! We felt so relaxed here, even though we were running around like crazy people trying to fit everything into our 2 day visit. Elian at the front desk welcomed us right in, made us feel at home, and helped with anything we needed during our stay. He even gave us better directions than the GPS to head to the beach. I can't wait to find an excuse to go back!
