Waw, this an amazing hotel with the best staff of Costa Rica. Very friendly people who treat their guests with excellence and make them feel more than home. During our stay we felt like we were with our own family. The rooms are modern and new renovated. The food was amazing and the happy hour was our favorite. We recommend highly the Shana hotel to all all our friends and families.

Beautiful location. Workers were very friendly and were there if I ever needed anything. Pool and bar were also very nice. I had a suite, and it was very roomy, as was the shower and bath tub. Grounds were clean and scenic. Walking down on the backside of the hotel to the beach is a must!

Me gustó Shana porque ofrece habitaciones, camas y baños amplios, además está cerca o mejor dicho tiene acceso privado a la playa biesanzt, la cual es muy bonita y tranquila para disfrutar. Las instalaciones están medio de una bosque y jardines lo que lo hace muy natural y pacifico. Lo que deben mejorar es el mantenimiento del aire acondicionado y la ducha de masajes porque en la habitación 119 fue deficiente. También podrían mejorar los desayunos que ofrecen con más variedad y mayor proporción. Yo regresaría con gusto de todas maneras…

Excellent vacation at the Shana thanks to the very nice and professional staff. I was participating at the world fishing tournament in Quepos. That is why I booked the Shana Hotel. Great resort, very clean, well maintained and rooms were perfect. I kept a great souvenir and I will never forget it, the manager allowed me to bring my own fish and cook it in the wooden oven they have at the restaurant. The chef made a miracle and I think that was the best fish I ever had all my life. Of course the advantage was that my fish was really fresh, from the ocean to the oven. I have posted a picture, have a look. Thank you Shana for these memorable days. I already booked some rooms for next year, I will come with more friends. You deserve it. Thank you.

It is not what it seems; When you check-in the room was not ready. An hour of waiting. There is No waiting room or reception closed with air to wait. They gave us a welcome cocktail when other customers saw that they received with this gesture. The access to the beach, since that is private and part of the hotel, you should be more careful, we are talking of a 4 star hotel. In the restaurant the food was good but the service was slow, we had again a long wait and the price/quality, a bit expensive in relation to other restaurants of similar hotels. As for the pool service, nothing attentive. And now to finish off you have been given the same room to another couple and have been open when we were inside. Outrageous. Come Home Moon, Arenal and Laguna Lounge, in Tortuguero, and being the same category are very far from earning the same rating. We still have two more days here but for the moment, very unhappy. The room if that is okay. Large, clean and with air conditioning conditions.

Excellent attention, small parking. Very comfortable and spacious rooms. It's hard to answer, but it's worth insisting. It has access to a beach.

Large rooms with great view of the surrounding forest. Unfortunately, if you're not comfortable with insects, there were a couple in the room and on the bed. Great food options and a ping pong table!

The design is interesting. The modern rooms yelegantes. Not in front of the sea. (or listened to). You have to walk some distance but the lllegar down is a tropical view very nice with almost no waves. Until I forgot the walk. In the lobby they offer many tours. I highly recommend it. Just have it clear that the hotels in this area are not the typical beachfront hotels.

A good hotel, excellent food, facilities and beach access Biezans, the only thing is that it does not make clear the policies of the hotel, as well as regulations on prices and what is included or fails to include what they have to offer.

Shana By The Beach Hotel is a great family-friendly resort located in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Great staff, friendly service, wonderful food and excellent experience. They have a great new sports bar by the pool and they offer FREE Pool Access to the public, Free Wi-Fi, Great Happy Hour Specials, Karaoke and Bingo on Sundays.

Great hotel located between jungle and small beach. It is a paradise on Earth where people are very friendly and hospitable. The rooms are modern and they are very clean. There is a very good atmosphere at the pool type lounge bar, happy hour etc… This is a very good choice for Manuel Antonio.

A beautiful hotel where we spent the best holidays of our lives. Everything was OK and the people who work Labas are very welcoming. Our suite with a private pool was the top. We had very good food and the restaurant as well as the lounge bar were 5 stars. We'll be back.

One of the best options in Costa Rica. They have a beautiful propperty with a direct access to a hidden small beach. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. I recommend the Shana very high.

This the best friendly hotel in Costa Rica. Rooms are excellent and the property is amazing. Why friendly, because the staff are the best, smily, friendly, helpful and very professional. The pool area is like a dream. The path to the beach is like a tour, jungle, animals and the walk is so beautiful. Food is a big WAAAAW.

First, this is the hotel your guaranteed to have monkeys explore your room if you leave your balcony door open. We had visit to our balcony from multiple monkeys during our three day visit. Next the hotel pool and pool bar offered great view as well. Michael the bar tender provided outstanding customer service. Very personable and sought to ensure we were all taken care of. Definitely a recommend.

Quepos and it's Hotels is a great tourist destination. It is directly located n the beach and frequently you can interact with monkeys directly on the beach. There are plenty of accommodations and as always anywhere in Central and South America; ALWAYS keep an eye on your belongings!

First time ever in my life I have checkout of a hotel early having already paid in full upfront… This is not a 4.5 star hotel. It is 3 star at best. I do not trust a lot of the reviews online which are bumping up its rating, I believe these to be fake / paid for … or maybe all these people were paying a fraction of the price I paid and therefore had much lower expectations. This hotel seems to mainly be used for large budget tour groups like G-Adventures, who bring large groups of young travellers looking to party. The price you pay as an independent guest is 4x what they pay as part of one of these tour groups i. E you get massively ripped-off. Along with the unprofessionalism and the lies that I was told by the managers and owner here is a list of issues we had with multiple rooms that’s we stayed in (and some photos) — Phone broken — Tap broken — Worn furniture — Uncomfortable bed with broken springs — Frayed stained sofa — Broken wardrobe doors — Nose extracts on the walls — Splatted flies on walls and ceilings — Broken light switches — Multiple light bulbs out — lamps with wrong plugs so you can’t even turn them on — Sticky floors — pool area in desperate need for repair / renovation I really don’t like leaving bad reviews. I wish we could have resolved these issues directly with the hotel but we couldn’t get them to listen and it did ruin the end of our once in a lifetime holiday.

The only place to stay in Costa Rica! The hotel is next to the beach and a short walk to town and the park. We saw monkeys ON our balcony. Great pictures:) Pool is huge. Breakfast included fresh fruit and a la carte course. Sunset views and water views:) The room is ginormous! The shower has a rain head, spray for different body parts and a wand. You could fit 4 people in the tub. The toilet is in a room by itself. The best part of our stay was Leo! He made our stay. He and Nidia checked us in to an upgrade. Leo made shuttle arrangements for us on his day off. Poor thing: the front desk girl called Leo at home at 7AM to inquire about our time travels. He then made our reservation and called back with the info from his sick bed! Above and beyond. No wonder the back of his shirt reads I.

Good hotel, good service, although there are details that make it clear that it is a lack of maintenance.

The rooms, the staff, the welcome cocktail, the treatment of the children, the quality of the breakfast a la carte, the swimming pool, its proximity to a beautiful beach and many other things, make Shana hotel a must-have place in Manuel Antonio.

Not as "by the beach" as you would expect. You need to hike through non flipflop friendly jungle to get to the beach (which floods during high tide). Big, clean, and beautiful rooms. Very good but expensive food. Had daily issues with magnetic key cards.

Hotel is beautiful and nice view yet the restaurant is very slow. We ordered a pizza. It came after 70 minutes.

Nice hotel close the the beach. Sloths, monkeys, toucans vosited for breakfast.

This has been the best stay of my entire vacation! The staff was so wonderful and nice. We were only going to stay one night and ended up staying a second night because our accommodations were so great. The complimentary breakfast was amazing and we even had a view of a sloth hanging in the trees off of the balcony. The rooms were gorgeous and clean. I would definitely suggest this place, only sorry we didn't have more time.

A nice place, but know you are right near the jungle. Meaning, be ready to see animals all around, and sometimes inside, your room. We were greeted by a sloth outside our window. Crabs scuttled through the hallway at night. It was a good time.

Beautiful rooms; friendly staff; great breakfast. Regular food is a bit expensive there, though, and the view is nice in some rooms. In most rooms the views is blocked by trees.

This is rated as a 4+ star hotel, but found lizards, ants, spiders & cockroaches in our room. From the pictures on the hotel website, it looks very modern and the exterior is indeed very nice. Pool and the restaurant are also very nice. The room we are in has good view but the furniture seems substandard. The bed skirt is torn. Floor tiles have spots giving a dirty appearance. Bathroom is modern but again there are many ants. All in all the insects in the room made the experience really creepy. Absolutely not recommended.

The master is the most beautiful in the world. Clean water. It is fabulous.

Suite 120 under the restaurant 180 m 2 private pool, luxury, little more the Manager speaks french.

Absolutely Magical Place. Serenity, Peace, Beautiful nature, monkeys, beaches, birds. Very Unique Paradise, few minutes away from famous Manuel Antonio National Park. Very specious, clean rooms, state of the art showers with massages, beautiful balconies in every room next to a jungle. If that is not enough for your stay and you love great food — — imagine original, authentic cook from Rome in the hotel's restaurant, cooking for you special antipasto, original Italian pizza, or just try fresh fish, especially sea bass. All to die for including the views from the hotel's restaurant. Few minutes walk and you are in the most beautiful Bay with gorgeous beach, away from crowds. We had the most wonderful vacation ever.
