She's a beauty. Highly recommended. If you are not staying you can go to eat or have a drink as the view you have to the ocean is breathtaking. Its colonial style is beautiful. Very good place to take pictures.

Magnificent pool view! Service is top! Food is great! A little expensive but worth it! You will fall in love in this place! Jr Suite is really nice and has an awesome view too.

Location and excellent nature. Beautiful sea view. Trails to the villas and other places of the hotel very clean and illuminated and of great beauty. Great tasting food and excellent presentation. The beach is about two miles away but they take it by car from the hotel.
It is very rocky but has amenities like chairs and beds to have a nice time. Just inconvenient with dinner. We arrived at the time of the reservation and they left us waiting outside for half an hour without any explanation. I filed the complaint with the head of the restaurant.

Hotel was super pretty! Overall we had a good time. Room was nice and big (we did have a suite). That being said there were little things that we found… annoying… I guess, like house keeping before 9:30, ants on 1 of our sinks, and 1 day our room keys stopped working. For a 4 star boutique hotel I guess we expected a little more attention to detail.

Such beautiful and amazing views! We came here to view the venue as we have chosen to get married in Costa Rica and we have found our place! The staff was attentive, friendly, and most spoke good English. Food and service at the Amphitheatre were impeccable. For sure, we will be returning soon!

Very nice view. Sorry about the restaurant. Very slow service. Other than that they didn't find a table for five in an hour, we ordered some fish fingers that never came.

Visited the restaurant overlooking the sunset. A great idea to make an amphitheater for enjoying the sunset and cocktail. A pompous place. The view is gorgeous.

Very nice if you go in couple. If you have children it is very dangerous… It has many cliffs and no protection… If you are an older adult or if you have a disability this hotel is not for you. Lots of bleachers. And no ramps… Unprotected guardrails.

A magical place. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Laura and the whole concierge staff planned all of our transportation and excursions. Everything they suggested was amazing. There is no way to describe in words how incredible this place is. The views don’t seem real. The staff is so courteous and genuinely kind. The Food and dining staff are the best. The spa is awesome. We have been to some very nice places. This place makes me want to only come back here only. Did I mention all the natural wildlife right in front of you? Toucans, macaws, monkeys, sloths, Iguanas. We will be back here. They made us feel like a king and queen in our castle.

Had my honeymoon here 9 years ago. It's a classic spot with incredible views. It's not cheap but the quality reflects that. The staff can be a little uptight. I prefer a more relaxed vibe. Perfect spot to come for a drink at sunset. The food is good but not as fabulous as you might suspect. They do hotel Stuff better than food stuff. Our room was really amazing. We enjoyed the private pool immensely.

First off, this hotel is absolutely beautiful, the scenery is gorgeous. However, we unfortunately booked our trip during hurricane season and ended up having to leave the hotel earlier than expected, in order to fly back to Florida to prepare our home for Hurricane Irma. We had bought the Groupon for 5 nights in the Junior Suite, which was $750. We ended up staying 2 nights. I have contacted the hotel and Groupon to try and get compensated for the 3 nights we didn't stay, I even offered to downgrade the Groupon to the 3 night option they had, but the hotel refuses to compensate us for anything. UPDATE: A sales manager from the hotel contacted us and was able to issue a refund for the nights we did not stay. We greatly appreciate the understanding they exhibited. My advice: try and bring any issues you have directly to one of the hotel managers, not just the front desk :)

First of 3 hotels for our honeymoon! Perfect way to start our trip! So relaxing and the staff was amazing. We had an issue with the hot water and they fixed it right away and were so helpful. We will be coming back for sure! Only issue was the bed wasn't that comfortable but for the view, you can't beat it!

I am extremely disappointed in the lack of compassion this hotel had. We didn't want to cancel our trip, but we also had two kids in Florida we had to get to before the storm came. Groupon contacted the hotel and they said there is nothing they can do, which is wrong. As much as I loved the hotel, we will not stay here again for our next trip to Costa Rica. I would not advise staying here during the months of August — October, as it is rainy season and why they were running the Groupon anyways.

10 stars! Outstanding, gorgeous, breathtaking, top notch… just a few things that come to mind when I'm here. This is by far the best place in the world I have ever seen a sunset. I take friends and guests here all the time. You can get there around 5:00pm and go just to the restaurant/bar for watching the sunset. If you are looking to be in top of the world with that special someone, this is where you need to go.

Most amazing sunset view. The food is good, not great. The view/atmosphere makes you forget that the food isn't 5 stars.

What can I say? This place is absolutely amazing! The property is immaculate. The staff is beyond hospitable. My wife and I have been here 3 out of 5 nights and have enjoyed our stay so much I was compelled to write this review and am already beginning to dread our departure. Villa de Caletas stands out in a beautiful country full of welcoming and benevolent people.
