Jungla del Jaguar Hotel

Planned on being here for 3 days… still here and it’s been a month. I really don’t ever want to leave.

No where in Costa Rica can you get this experience.

If you walk In or Out to the Corcovado Park; this place is on the middle to spot good WilLife and Accomodation too… we recommed @ 100% we stop our clients for coold drinks over there. Leo and his family TICOS PURA VIDA!

I just got back from Jungla del Jaguar (01/19) and feel this is one of the best places to stay on OSA. The staff is excellent and super friendly; and the food is excellent as they have a top notch full time chef. Every few days, the owner (great guy) goes to sea and brings back fresh-caught fish. I got lucky and they had fresh yellow-fin tuna for seviche and sashimi for a few days. Then they caught a Rooster fish and I had one of the best-tasting fish steaks in my life. Wildlife is abundant. I finally have the perfect photos of Toucans and Scarlet Macaws. On two mornings, white-faced capuchin monkeys visited the palsm right in front of us while we were eating breakfast. Spider monkeys came through on another morning. Also saw false orcas from their shore. One of my favorite things about "Jungla" is the well-marked and mapped epic trail system though their 130-ish private acres that can loop for hours if not days. Also, there are some amazing private beaches on the property. I can't wait to return and next time, I will bring my young son. Loved it there!

Incredibly unique and beautiful this place! For us it was Paradise on earth! Exactly Right, if you don't need of what it takes to supposedly "civilized" so much and at the same time is ready to pamper yourself with pure and pristine nature many gifts! Our heartiest thanks goes out to Curt, we entered into a very receptive and interested and give us the best experiences possible! Not less impressed we are by the encounters with Kendry and Pablo, Jasniel and Eri — all to all of you for the most wonderful of days, we have been able to think of us thanks to you! Charlotte, Elizabeth, and Leo, during our stay of 10 days is only about 4 days… thank you for this unforgettable experience!

I loved this place so much it has turned into my home. The facilities have improved so much over the course of a year. The owner has put his heart and soul into making the place the best he can. It is a long and expensive venture to build in a boat access only jungle, but he nails it!

Hands down one of the coolest places I have ever been. Every day is an adventure and the sheer amount of wildlife is mind boggling. The staff are friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable about all aspects of the jungle and the accommodations are everything you could want. If you're looking for an unmatched experienced filled with endangered species and the jungle, this is the place for you. I can't wait to go back!

This was one of the best places we stayed on our trip to CR. Basic accomodation but it's supposed to be. V good food and drinkable water from the taps. We saw toucans on our walk around the jungle!

Probably one of the best places on earth if you're just looking to get away! Jungle/rainforest, snorkeling, private beaches, good food, very chill people. Takes all day to get here, and it's worth it. Plan to stay at least 3 days!

I had planned to stay for three nights… and ended up staying for six! This place has a beautiful energy: Leo is incredibly helpful and kind and everyone makes you feel welcome… waking up in the dorm to both the sounds of the jungle and the Pacific, seeing toucans, monkeys, even a tapir in the garden… all of this can happen right here! You can even eat the fish that they caught on the day! If you're in Costa Rica, don't miss out!

This is my favorite place on Earth! Beautiful location, nestled between private beaches and the most biodiverse jungle on the planet (Corcovado national park). If you're looking for someplace to disconnect from regular life, you've found it. Dinner is usually fresh fish caught straight from the ocean that day, he's got beers and drinks at the sweet new bar they installed, and from his location you can get tours into Corcovado, go to cano island for some snorkeling, or if you feel like testing the animal in you you can go for a day hike through the jungla del jaguars property. Highly recommended if you're looking for the real jungle experience, while still wanting a bed and shower at the end of the day.

I went there a few years ago with 4 friends and this place is truly beautiful like no other elsewhere. It is a small corner of Paradie with plenty of activities to do among the true biodiversity of Costa Rica. If you want to pick up I advice minimum 3 days there.

Truly a place unlike any other. Fun and friendly staff, amazing food, comfortable accomidations and the proximity to nature is unreal. Your only regret will be that you didn't book a longer stay!

Out of the way location. Resident tapir and easy access to Corcovado.

This place is the best! Just skip Drake's Bay and go to this paradise! The owners and volunteers are so friendly and show you around everything. I did a private tour with their guide to the National Park (Corcovado) which was the best I had on my trip! They also have trails around their property you can hike by yourself. It's also a great place to relax, lay in the hammocks and have a dip in the tide pool. Just go there!

Jungle del Jaguar Hostel is a whole pile of diamonds in the jungle's beautiful rough. I have never stayed at a hostel anything like this. The location is stunning, right on the beach, surrounded by jungle with miles of hiking trails, including routes to a tide pool, a beautiful and expansive beach, and sea caves. I would have expected to find lodging in a location like this to cost at least five times as much as we paid for a dorm bed, so the value is unbeatable. For dinner, which costs a reasonable $9, we had freshly caught fish thanks to Layo, red snapper the first day, barracuda the second. The two full days I spent at this hostel were among the best I've had. If you have the opportunity to come here, do it. Book this hostel. Right. Now.

Absolute must go place for those adventurous and those was looking for a peaceful getaway to Paradise. Leo and his mom are true warriors with a wealth of knowledge and kindness abounding. We cannot recommend this place enough. We loved every moment and will be returning one day. It was our favorite location in all of Panama and Costa Rica.

For sure a good place and ideal to start a tour to Sirena NP. We made a reservation weeks in advance… but no permission at the end. Sorry Leo, you screwed it up!

Heaven! U need to get a bus to pulmar norte and from there u can take a taxi for 15-20$to sirepe. From sirepe a taxi both to jungla del jaguar 25$ And then… u get to heaven! Bring food with u, there is no stories or ATM this is island in the middle of the jungle. It's ok to drink tap water.
