Unique experience staying in luxury huts in the rainforest with howler monkeys waking you up at 5 am. Unbelievable experience!

Great place to relax, stay away from stress and get in touch with nature. The place is clean, safe, quiet and confortable. Very close from the best beach around the area "Punta Uva". The owner makes you feel like you are at home but sourunded by nature.

Speechless to describe the wonder. After so many times there are all my adoptive brothers. Haha. The best place in the world.

Amazing place to stay in punta uva. I have no words to describe this hotel. Its simply extraordiary. The hotel is in the jungle, you can heard and see monkeys, sloths, tucans, spiders and the best is the service and atention given by the owners. The breakfast its really good, full of delicious fruit. The bungalows are very clean and well maintained. I totally recommend this hotel if you are looking to spend some days in punta uva.

I wish I could give higher than 5 stars. We cannot say enough positives about Korrigan Lodge. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay, right beside Punta Uva, nestled inside of a rain forest, then this is one of the best places to be. There are four lodges with a stone pathway to connect each to the main reception/breakfast area. The lodges are tastefully decorated to reflect the local culture and well kept and clean. The owners are incredibly attentive yet give y…ou space to enjoy your own privacy. Every day starts with a breakfast made with fresh local produce. There is a hammock at each lodge if you choose to relax and read a book. The beach is a very short walk and will take you to the main part of Playa Punta Uva. If you are a surfer, then this is a perfect place to be. Surf board rentals are easy to come by. Make sure you bring waterproof sunscreen as the sun here is very direct. Also bring comfortable shoes suitable for biking. We biked between Punta Uva —, Puerto Viejo and Manzanilla several times to explore (Korrigan Lodge provides bikes free of charge). You can always rent a motorcycle in Puerto Viejo but I think you would lose some of the charm of the local scenery if you rush through it. Biking the main road is relaxing and very safe. You will get many recommendations from the owners for doing local tours and the ones we took were worth every penny.

With all honesty this place deserves MORE than 5 stars. You feel you're in the jungle! Beautifully and elegantly done for a comfortable stay. Patrick and Ireena are not your common hosts; they will make sure you have a lovely stay. Breakfast and most mornings surprising you with something to try; it could be a local exotic fruit, a piece of their premium imported bread pastry or the wonderful coffee they make every day. They will recommend only the tried and proven best restaurants in the area along with activities you most definitely will enjoy. Honest, good hearted people you would want to be around and come back to. It was just PERFECT. Thank you! Patrick and Ireena!

Spent 7 nights here and we wished we could have stayed longer! The location is wonderful, the wildlife on the property is amazing, and the local beaches were uncrowded and relaxing. The bungalows themselves are fantastic and we spent many nights just sitting on the patio reading and drinking beer and just enjoying our surroundings. Ingrid and Erwan are wonderful hosts; the breakfasts they prepared each morning were delicious and they were eager to help us make the most of our stay by recommending local attractions/tours and organizing everything for us. On our last night they even prepared us a "breakfast to go" for the next morning as we had to leave via van at 0600! It was all above and beyond our expectations and I cannot recommend staying here enough!

Absolutely amazing. The owners are incredibly friendly and did everything we could have expected and more. The bungalow was clean and comfortable, with delightful decor and a fantastic porch. The grounds are filled with wildlife which is just a treat. A hearty breakfast was provided everyday with fresh fruit, pastries, eggs made to order and more. Overall I can't think of anything to complain about. AC would have been nice during the day but wasn't an issue at night (end of May/beginning of June)

I am so happy we decided to stay at the Korrigan Lodge! Nestled within a wildlife refuge, you will find yourself surrounded by howler monkeys, sloths, and birds of all different varieties, especially Tucans! The bungalows are adorable and you will feel right at home! The owners cook a hearty breakfast everyday (included in price) and are super helpful at setting up activities for you! One recommendation for the owners, some AC in the bungalows would be the icing on the cake!

Having already read great reviews on TripAdvisor, our expectations were high and Korrigan Lodge not only lived up to those expectations, but exceeded them! The jungle setting is idyllic, the accommodations comfortable and aesthetically pleasing and well integrated to the surroundings. Our hosts, Laure and Sebastiaan, were personable, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was extra ordinary. This location is perfect — — directly across from the beautiful Punta Uva Beach and a manageable distance from both Puerto Viejo and Manzanilla National Park — — especially with the free use of their bikes! You can choose to avoid the crowds & noise, but still be close enough to take advantage of the conveniences in Puerto Viejo. Our only regret was not staying longer.

A little slice of heaven. The reason I have taken so long to write a review of the Korrigan Lodge is that when I think of our stay, it makes me sad, because we were so happy there! This was our most favorite vacation and it's all because of the Korrigan Lodge. Sebastiaan and Laure are the coolest most welcoming people you will ever meet and I can't even get started talking about Bassam. We fell so in love with the Korrigan Lodge. Do not miss an opportunity to stay here!

Step on the Caribbean coast. The lodges are beautifully decorated, perfectly maintained daily. The breakfasts are delicious and hearty, the best we have ever had in our entire trip. And the icing on the cake, the home of Laura and Sebastiaan managers is warm and attentive. Thanks for all the good advice, the time taken to get the monkeys :), and for making our stay so enjoyable!

The couple managing the lodge are some of the friendliest people I have ever met! They were gracious hosts and went out of their way to be helpful during our stay. The breakfast they cooked up was D-E-lightful! Oh, and they had the coolest, sweetest pup named Bassam. I highly recommend.
