Donna Rosa is a beautiful place to spend time relaxing and exploring. Werner and Carlos are very caring hosts.
Carlos is a great cook and you will love his culinary creations.
The views from the balcony /deck is breathtaking.
If you are lucky, you might even sight some of the local creatures ; for example Tucans or Sloths.
If you are brave, you would certainly enjoy the zip-lining adventures in the area. Check it out for yourself and enjoy your vacation there!

Carlos and Werner really are the best! My wife and I had a wonderful time staying with them. It truly felt like staying with some old friends. The room had a beautiful view of Lake Arenal and the mountains. The breakfast was fabulous! 5 /5 stars and will recommend to friends.

Carlos provided us with the best breakfast we have had in Costa Rica. Our room the banana suite, was very spacious and the bathroom was also very spacious with a relaxing rainfall shower. Carlos was also a great help in booking excursions for us that he knew we would like based on our interests. We very much enjoyed our stay and when we venture back to Costa Rica we will definitely be looking to book another stay!

My wife and I, along with another couple, visited Costa Rica for the first time and stayed at the Casa Donna Rosa B&B for 6 nights. We were truly impressed with the friendly and professional service that Werner and Carlos provided. The breakfasts were superb and one of a kind. Each morning Carlos cooked a different meal that was filling and delicious. We also received a concierge service that was worry free. Werner was a true professional on providing us with activities that were within a reasonable budget and left us in ahh from the sites that we visited. The rooms were top notch. Comfortable beds, clean and luxurious bathrooms along with great Wi-Fi and television. But instead of spending our time sitting in the room, we enjoyed the cooling evenings sitting on the balcony or veranda, relaxing and chatting with other guests. We highly recommend Casa Donna Rosa B&B for families, couples and even single travelers.

Very convenient location… just four or five blocks to town center. Carlos is a master chef when it comes to creating a delectable breakfast. The accommodations are super comfortable, clean and private. Was very pleased with everything.

This is truly an awesome place to stay. If I could rate it higher, I would. It's better than any 5 star hotel I've stayed in. Both Carlos and Werner are such gracious hosts and the breakfasts are out of this world. I cannot recommend Casa Donna Rosa highly enough.

Simply awesome luxury and very large room with all the amenities you could wish for. Stylishly decorated, with eye for detail. Absolutely clean and very cozy. The two hosts and owners Werner and Carlos have personally received us and professionally advised during the whole stay.
We were travelling without a rental car and were able to count on Werner's driving services. As a result, it was also possible to reach sights that would not have been feasible by bus.
We loved the fresh and lovingly prepared breakfast and found a new breakfast option on the plates every day. A feast for the palate and eyes. Thank you Carlos and Werner. We'll come back.

My family of 4 stayed in this lovely B&B for 3 nights this week and I have to say it was the highlight of our Costa Rica vacation! Carlos and Werner are not just inn keepers, but servants of the heart in the way they care for their guests and treat them like family. One evening we got back from La Fortuna too late and all the restaurants were closed and they didn't hesitate to whip us up some dinner! Then another night we came back with wet bathing suits from the mineral springs and they offered to wash and dry our bathing suits. Repeatedly, they went above and beyond. I work in customer service so I get it. These two gentlemen are truly the best hosts. Don't waste your time staying with anyone else. Their breakfasts were superb. My teenage daughter is vegan and Carlos accommodated her dietary preferences at every breakfast. Fresh fruit was served and fresh squeezed OJ, homemade jam, homemade bread, are just a few of the treats you will enjoy! As a Mom, a real vacation is one I don't have to plan meals or cook so breakfasts were taken care of! Truly, if I could give this B&B 10 stars, I would! Werner helps plan your activities and they call ahead and make reservations for you and map out how to get there. I wish we could have stayed with them longer. I have stayed in at least a dozen B&B in my life and Casa Donna Rosa is way above the rest. Don't delay… Make your reservation today!

This place was by far the nicest in Arenal. It was immaculate with great views etc… Breakfast is incredible, very accommodating, helpful. Enjoyed our stay very much! Would highly recommend. Great value! Thank-you very much.

A small hotel, elegant and with excellent attention and view to the Arenal Lake. In a quiet area very close to the center of Nuevo Arenal.

These guys rock. Nothing bad to say about this place at all. Neat. Tidy and expressive. Over the top good. You may just get too much information than your brain can handle on everything. Very informative. Lots taken care of for us and the most unique and wonderful food I've ever had for breakfast ever. Thank you guys! Highly recommended!

Beautiful place view to the lake and volcano.

In the week that we were in Costa Rica we split our stays between 4 different locations. This was by far our favorite, eclipsing even the treehouses. The house looks typical on the outside but the interior is beautifully designed and decorated, far exceeding our expectations. We generally make it a point to get out and do things while on vacations rather than wasting time just sitting at a hotel, but the shared outdoor balcony was so comfortable and relaxing that we couldn't resist spending hours out there listening to the birds and animals and enjoying the gorgeous view of the lake. Carlos and Werner were exemplary hosts, going above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed, including great recommendations for local food. Speaking of food, the breakfasts were delicious and by far the best morning meals we had on our entire trip. If we are in Costa Rica again, there is no doubt that we will be planning our trip around another stay at Casa Donna Rosa.

Carlos & Werner have been our best hosts ever! We found this B&B after a cancelation from another place and we couldn't be happier. This is a two story brand new house decorated with exquisite delicacy. It’s about 5 minute walk from Nuevo Arenal downtown and the same distance from the lake. The rooms will overcome your expectations. The view to the lake and the volcano is really nice. Breakfast was excellent. Carlos is a great baker, make sure not to miss his fresh baked bread. They also have a cozy terrace with a small pool, just perfect to enjoy a hot day. The price-quality relation is great and these two gentlemen will make sure to make you feel at home.
