This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we couldn't have asked for better accommodations! We had a group of 18 and none of us wanted to leave. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had amazing views. We had shutters in our shower that opened up to the outside, so cool! The staff was friendly and very helpful, the food was fantastic. The only complaint I have is that I had to leave. We will definitely return!
Avoid this hotel: DISHONEST MANAGEMENT! My group of friends sadly had a disappointing experience in this hotel, during & after our stay. Despite a nice location (view is amazing) & great food, our disillusion came from 2 drivers: 1/ Room did not match description — Unlike Booking content & pictures, our room did not have a balcony Due to the really high price ($280 / night – at the level of sophisticated palaces), this private space was essential to our stay. Owners said that Booking was responsible for this misleading information — which is surprising as usually, hotels manage content on booking platforms — Our experience in the room was really poor: no cleaning one day (leading to a bugs infection), leaking toilets, poor key management…. If we had been in a youth hotel worth $50 / night, this would have been OK. But with a price 6 times higher…unacceptable. 2/ Horrible customer experience — Due to our issues, we made an appointment with the owners to share our feedbacks & ask for a compensation. In any types of high-standard establishments, this would have been accepted as customer experience was really NOT at the level of pricing. They barely acknowledged them & made no commercial gestures. — Worst, the last day, following a leaking toilet issue during the night, they said they would call us to discuss the remaining deposit amount.
