Really a beautiful place. Peaceful and relaxing. Hot spring were everything my family hoped for. Everything felt natural. Our room, 304, backed to the jungle. It's was so awesome sitting out on the back porch. Food and drinks were a little expensive. The "welcome drink" was insulating, a small plastic cup of juice. I don't know why they give it out.

Impressive. Very close to the volcano, although we didn't get to see it because of fog. We caught a room with garden and private thermal pool and it could not have been a better choice. A few beers in your own hot spring pool is the best. We even saw animals pass through our garden. Great breakfast.
There is also a normal swimming pool, public thermal pool and thermal pool with jets and bar inside.

Awesome facilities. Great service. The waters are very warm and relaxing, the whole place is designed with relaxation in mind. Super clean and impeccable upkeep. Great for a few hours of getting your bones back in place after a day of adventure tours.

Great grounds looking up toward the volcano. They also have all sorts of fruit trees and flora which it seems most people don't explore. The man made hot springs are nice. The room is fine and basic. What I would avoid is the restaurant unless you have to stay on campus. It's normal hotel food that's pretty expensive. Definitely hit their breakfast in the morning because they offer a wide range of local favorites. Overall this place is quite nice and well positioned to view the towns main attraction. Had a lovely stay at this resort. Had the king sized room with the private back yard and hot tub. Room was huge and the yard was beautiful. Staff was very attentive. I highly recommend this place.

The Place is excellent although you need to renovate your rooms, fact that the manager promised to be made for next year. The bathrooms and pages were not excellent, the food good, a bit expensive so offered. Breakfast could be improved with more stiffs, scrub juices and other bakery offerings.

Wow! Amazing mineral water pools and jacuzzis with one of the best views of the volcano with an in pool bar. The grounds are spectacular — a garden oasis. Service was also first class and they even greeted us with delicious fruit drinks! I really do not think the online pictures do this resort justice. It far exceeded our expectations.

To be a 4 star a good hotel, it has everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is a marvel, for dinners an elaborate menu and a little more food from a variety of fast and elaborate foods.
The thermal pools are amazing and more having the bar inside one of them where you can enjoy a good cocktail or a good dinner inside the water.
The large and very comfortable rooms with a door to which you go out to a nice patio overlooking the volcano.
Only one downside, breakfast is good and has variety but the two days had the same.

Rooms are lovely and the service and facilities are wonderful. The included breakfast was delicious and included a lot of options. The pools are all great. My only complaint is a lack of vegetarian options at the restaurant.

In the shadow of Arenal volcano, this is a classy place to stay. Obliging staff and a busy bird-feeder to watch whilst eating. A rear patio to the room where we watched humming birds against the volcanic back-drop. A river in the grounds and fresh hot spring water to lounge in whilst quaffing a cocktail. Happy Hour was never so hot and wet. Ace.

This is a middle class hotel, very good located in La Fortuna. All rooms have a view of the volcano and some with thermal jacuzzi.
The hotel has its own thermals for its guests and restaurants.

After a full day of travel to Costa Rica from Michigan, it felt good to arrive at Volcano Lodge and Springs. The staff was quick to check us in and get us to our rooms where we settled in, and found that the patios off each room were perfect for a cocktail and time to unwind. The grounds at Volcano Lodge are beautifully kept and the hot springs and pools are inviting any time of the day and evening. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning and the attentive staff made sure we were comfortable and satisfied. We found it a quick taxi ride into La Fortuna, if the hotel shuttle was available they were happy to run us into town or to an activity.

Great service. Amazing views. The hot spring spa pools we're great for happy hour 4-6pm. We would definitely go back.

Lovely, safe hotel in La Fortuna. The rooms are nicely decorated. We were welcomed with cocktails are check in and a bottle of sparkling wine in our room. It was Valentine's Day. The hot springs are great. The only thing I wasn't impressed with is the restaurant, but I would stay again and eat dinner elsewhere.

Excellent hotel and hot springs. Fabulous cocktails at the hot springs bar, and if you can, get a room with a private tub! It's so worth the extra cash, if you can afford it. It rained the entire time I was there, so hanging out in the private hot tub was quite a treat. I'll definitely be back.

Nickel, friendly staff and available.

The volcano Lodge is a decent place to stay and very clean and each place has an outdoor seating area. I think the place lacks Vibe and Life and even the restaurant's dead but maybe because it's overpriced however take advantage of the happy hour cocktail specials which are well worth it hanging out in the hot springs which have cute tables in them or the swim up bar which I didn't actually try the breakfast is decent and has a good selection next to the breakfast area there seems to be a little bird sanctuary which is quite entertaining in the morning. Security is good and the staff is friendly knowledgeable and speak English. The water pressure in the shower is the best I've seen anywhere and their daily morning towel presentation with flowers are outstanding. Well worth of value.

Pretty big place with multiple pools and hot springs, a swim up bar, spa, Wi-Fi, and plenty of tours that will pick you up directly from here. The restaurant had decent food. The best part is the gorgeous view of the Arenas Volcano from anywhere in the resort.

Fantastic! We had a a great stay. We called and requested a volcano view a few weeks early. They weren't able to guarantee it — but once we showed up, we had one. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the hot springs are SO nice. Wonderful customer service as well!

We had a fabulous stay at the hotel. Our room was clean and air conditioned. It opened out to the “backyard” and we had the Arenal volcano view. The hot spring was the highlight. After the treacherous hike that we did, the warm/hot water did it’s magic in soothing sore muscles. The breakfast area as a nice little “park” where the birds come in the morning to feed. Such beautiful birds. We would certainly recommend this place. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.

Rooms are clean but very dark and no longer the most modern. The pools are clean and beautiful. Breakfast is not the worst but I can't call it good. All in all in the year, though, would not come back.

Totally recommend this place. Very affordable even for the Thermal Superior room which was the Hot Spring Pool privately outside of your balcony with the view of Arenal. This is only about 5 min drive from La Fortuna "Downtown".

Beautiful property. Springs are open 22 out of 24 hrs. Good security. They went out of their way for my birthday and had breakfast delivered to my room and the housekeeping catered to my boyfriend when he requested room be prepped with flowers/wine. It was an awesome experience. I would def return.

We loved it. The arrival seems to introduce you into a small jungle. They have several pools one with hot springs next to the bar. Our room had a small Jacuzzi outside and a lovely view of the Arenal volcano. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Volcano Lodge and Springs is an incredible place to stay if you're touring Costa Rica. We had planned to stay for two nights while we adventured in La Fortuna, but we ended up staying a third night because we loved it so much! We had a Thermal Superior room, and we loved having our own thermal pool in the backyard of our room. Completely private, romantic, and it comes with outstanding views of the Volcano. The entire staff made us feel so welcome, and we left wishing we had stayed there the whole vacation. It would be a mistake not to make this part of your Costa Rican experience!

The customer service needs to be addressed regarding attending a spa session and being told that staying at San Bosco Inn one could obtain a towel after attending the hot springs. Very disappointed after being told at San Bosco we could have the use of one and then being told No at Volcano Lodge. There's nothing like driving 4 hours in a wet swimsuit. Really appreciated it… NOT. I was planning on coming back next year and staying here but not anymore. Very disappointed.

The viewof the volcano is amazing and the gardens are beautiful. The thermal spas are free as well! Very very good hotel for the price.

Incredible place for kids. 5 different pools and several thermal heated pools. We forgot a backpack and they are mailing it to us in the states. Very nice place.

Beautiful resort! The room is spacious and fancy! The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, but breakfast is included in room cost which is dope! I feel like I'm walking around Jurassic Park here :)

Amazing steaks here, my fiance and I have been to Mastros and Mortons in the US and we loved this place!

Hotel very well located near the volcano Arenal, room very spacious and well equipped, with some Ant. Very beautiful gardens and very well equipped pool area with hot springs.

GORGEOUS view and friendly staff and service i was overcharged for my drinks ($38 for one) i would come back, but bring my own booze if I wanted to drink beautiful view a few too many kids running around all and all a great place to stay, I WILL return.

Very good option. Spacious and incredibly decorated surroundings, great cabins with room service, pool, yacuzzi and open bar. Excellent location to visit all sites around the volcan.

My wife and I loved Volcano Lodge, good food, great service. They also helped us book off-site excursions like the waterfall swimming tour, ATVing around the volcano, Horseback Riding, Chocolate Tour, etc. Wonderful experience.

Great place with only one minus. The walls a very thin. Had a group of teenagers slamming doors at 10pm and laughing really loud. Food is good. Better food can be found outside the hotel, but it is so convenient just to eat at the hotel. Grounds are clean and very welcoming. Good view of the Volcano. Staff is amazing and helpful.

No complaints here. For $50 night we had clean rooms, hot water, a great location, great service and a delicious all you can eat breakfast with a clear view of the volcano through lush gardens. This was a first time stay at Volcano Lodge, and we found nothing to complain about. The location is great with a view of the volcano from the back of the rooms through the landscape and from the dining area. Volcano Lodge is close to the lake, easy to get to, well maintained and the staff was very helpful. Wifi in the room worked just fine. Clean, spacious room, plenty of hot water, air conditioning, Cable TV, Wi-Fi, pretty much anything anyone would want.

Large clean rooms with private terrace overlooking the volcano. Wifi actually available in our room (#315). Well kept grounds with many tropical flowers and plants. Nice pool and restaurant. Very good breakfast buffet. Front desk knowledgeable and helpful with arranging tours or excursions. Would stay here again.

I would have given 5 stars only if they had network wiring in the rooms — — Wi-Fi is available only near lobby and restaurant. Otherwise a nice place to stay — we could see Arenal volcano from our room. Nice garden setting.
