One of the best hotels I've ever been to. The experience is incredibly good. If they come to Palomino they have to come to this hotel. The food in the restaurant is delicious, the service in general is excellent and the rooms are super nice. It has two pools, one remains on the beach and another is next to the restaurant.

The best beaches, next to the village of Palomino, is definitely one of the best hotels I have visited in life. A beauty. Very good Care.

This Hotel is located right on Palomino's beautiful Beach. As a Guest, guests can enjoy — compared to the other, more "tangible" Accommodation in Palomino — upscale in Terms of Room amenities and Food. The Service is also very good, the Staff supports with all Questions in English.

This place is magical, I stayed here with my family for 4 nights and we really enjoyed it. We stayed in one of the cabañas near the beach, the waves hummed us to sleep every night, the staff was incredibly friendly! They even know a little bit of English, the pool was nice and was far enough from the beach not to get looks from passersby yet a great view of the waves. They offer a great variety of activities both inside and out the hotel grounds.

This resort/hotel is just wonderful. The staff is friendly and knows a bit of english (which is helpful! ) and the rooms and surroundings were beautiful. Especially the showers/bathrooms. They are kept natural and open (but private), making it feel like you are showering in the wild. We were here for a wedding and the service of the staff was just brilliant. Really good place to stay!

My partner and I have just returned from several idyllic days in this beautiful eco-resort. We stayed in one of the beach cabañas, which we loved. It was private, rustic and quiet except for the crashing waves and the wind through the palms. Walking the long, empty beach at sunrise was a treat, as was swimming in the Caribbean as the day got hotter. The sea here is a notorious adversary, according to locals, but if you exercise good sense and caution, the swimming is invigorating and the waves are lots of fun. For those who seek activity beyond what the beach has to offer, there is the opportunity for horse-back riding, river-tubing, and day-trips to Parque Tayrona. We were also able to hire a guide to take us to a Kogi village up the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. In fact, one of the things I appreciated about staying at Aite was the obvious pride in the region, and respect for the local population. On a couple of evenings, Gloria, the manager, was able to bring in musicians to perform vallenato, cumbia, and other indigenous sounds of the Guajira. Meal time was also a highlight, not only for the exotic tastes and variety of the local cuisine, but for the relaxed conversation as guests lingered over coffee and dessert. Service was both casual and professional. My partner and I often wonder if we will be uncomfortable (or worse) when we visit locales where same-sex relationships are less common or less visible than in Toronto.

An idyllic place. Full of details that make it unique. The hosts always with a smile just like the people of the region who work there. I learned a lot from such beautiful people. The animals that surrounded us made it even more enjoyable stay. The beautiful macaw and his caretaker, Sasha, and their permanent presence looking out for. Squirrels, sea birds, fruit trees. That is to say of the food: exquisite, origininal, full of syncretism and cultural and culinary. It's the perfect size for a mixture of ecolodge or Boutique Hotel. Without a doubt I will return, and I will stay much more time. Thanks.

Beautiful place, with amazing view and beach. Staff is very kind and helpful. I really recommend it if you go with family or if you want to spend a relax time with your friends. Food is also delicious.

Had a wonderful two night stay at this hotel in Palomino. It started before I even arrived, as the incredibly friendly and responsive (and English speaking! ) staff answered my questions via email and facilitated the reservation. They were just as amazing in person. Upon arriving I was blown away by the property itself, each "room" is more like a modern cabin on the sand near the beach, equipped with soft beds (including bug nets as a precaution), hammocks, rain shower, fans, etc. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, and it's a great excuse to focus on the sound of the ocean rather than your device. Besides, there is fast and free Wi-Fi in the common area. In that common area is an outdoor dining restaurant with some of the most incredible food I've had in Colombia. Shrimp with tamarind sauce was a particular favorite. Weeks later I am still thinking about. And for $10 — $15 a person, especially with breakfast included in the room rate, thought it was more than worth it. There are two pools as well, perfect for a dip day or night. How many times in life can you say you swam under the stars? With the ocean so close you can also walk along the beach under the stars. It's just as brilliant during the day. Aité is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Tayrona National Park (about a 45min drive, the hotel can facilitate transport), or just as a getaway to see the north coast of Colombia. Whatever your reason, it's perfect.

It is a place of rest, wonderful. The cabins on the beach are the best, a paradise. The pool on the beach is super nice, the food delicious, and the lovely people. There are many walks to do in the surrounding area, rivers, hiking, horseback riding, and know the sierra. Really recommend it!

This place is absolute paradise! You have the Caribbean in one direction and lush green mountains in the other direction. There are so many beautiful places to lounge throughout the resort, so the biggest decision you have to make every day is where you want to lie down to nap or read. The bungalows by the beach are amazing. You're very close with nature and have the sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep at night, but still have all the amenities you need. The meals were terrific — super fresh and perfect portion size. Any time we needed something, the staff was quick to see to our requests. We will definitely be making this our regular getaway destination!

I had a really great time at Aite this past December. I had never been to Colombia before, and this was such a special introduction to Colombia's natural beauty! Our cabana was right on the beach of the Caribbean Sea. I wish that I had taken a panoramic photo to share, because looking in any direction was absolutely stunning. Views of the gorgeous blue-green ocean, the sandy beach, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range, the natural coconut groves, and the abundance of flora and fauna everywhere made my visit so peaceful and restful. I hardly looked at my iPhone the two nights and three days that I was there. The food was awesome, with the chef and kitchen staff preparing fresh local food for every meal. I hope to return to beautiful Aite' some day.

Aite is magic! There is something special about everything that happens when you arrive here. Food tastes better. Time passes slower. And the extraordinary location coupled with the amazing staff make this experience one worth repeating! Which is exactly why we can back! The new accommodations on the beach and the fantastic pool were unexpected additions that merely add to this little slice of paradise. Not to be missed!

Aite was a very memorable excursion for us as we had never been to Colombia. At a very exotic location on their Caribbean coast, we had a great beach bungalow that included a very nice bed, overhead shower, fridge and hammocks on the front porch. The service staff was very friendly and the meals were terrific! Meals are served in an open-air dining area that is perched high above much of the rest of the property, so you have a great view while eating. We were there in December and the temps were nice and balmy. I understand it is that way year-round and we enjoyed constant ocean breezes. You can hike along the beach to or beyond either of two rivers, or just take it easy like we did. The owners were in the middle of expanding the cabin offerings to accommodate larger groups to a cabin and were almost finished with a couple of fabulous looking structures. Our stay was lovely.

Our trip to Aite was an unforgettable experience. It is a place that allows us to appreciate the beauty of nature. It is surrounded by palm trees, fruit trees, flowers, birds. One can appreciate the Caribbean sea with its changing colors. The first-class service, all are very friendly and always available. The food is delicious, always accompanied of natural juices made with local fruits. My husband and I very much enjoyed the tranquility of the place while the kids enjoyed the pool, sea and river. Definitely a place to which we are already planning to return. Thanks to all at Aite for having made our holiday unforgettable!
