In a country as hospitable as Colombia, it take a lot for hospitality to stand out but it does at Baladar! We arrived really late because of bus trouble, and were greeting warmly and given a tasty breakfast in the morning. The hostel is clean and comfortable, and affordable. I'd definitely recommend it.

Great place for BB. Cheap price, nice location, helpful personnel. You can use the kitchen and there is always hot coffee. You can also rent bike. (Pereira and its arouns is a good place for bike ride. )

This is a basic hostel and a good bargain given the location. I had a private room and it was adequate. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of light. As someone else mentioned the door does have a space between the lower part (where you enter) and the upper part (which you can leave open for air) so a tall person (like a basketball player) could look in on you. The showers have very good electric heaters and produce plenty of hot water. The free breakfast is simple — fresh fruit, an arepa, and coffee or tea. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negatives involve the same thing — fans. Pereira can be hot and without circulation the rooms are stuffy. A small fan in each room would be a good idea. The small back patio is the smoking area and smoke sometimes drifts down the hall into the rest of the hostel. This would be more of a problem in the rooms further back. A fan in that back area would help blow the smoke out.

Excellent service, the hosts do not treat you like a simple client but with sincerity and friendliness, it is very pleasant the atmosphere, it is clean, cozy and very well located in the city. Oh and the breakfast is delicious and prepared with love.

This hostel offers amenities commensurate with what that these paying. Without mas. The five stars I give for that its owner manages the place in an exemplary manner, offering her help from the first minute on anything that you may need. I wish all establishments were managed with the philosophy of this.

I had such an amazing time in Pereira and Baladar was the perfect place for it. Everyone there is so relaxed, but very enthusiastic to help with anything you need. I mean anything. The guys went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable (even when they didn't have a bed for me one night) and happily stored my bicycle while I went on other adventures. It felt like a home shared with friends. I can't recommend it enough.

Loved my short stay at Baladar, the guys who work there are really friendly and welcoming and they make sure you have everything you need. The setup is very social, there is a courtyard outside and a cozy TV room inside with Netflix available. The Wi-Fi is good, the kitchen well equipped and the rooms and bathrooms are kept clean. Overall very good value for money and the perfect spot to stay in Pereira — I will definitely be back — thanks guys!

Such a great hostel! The family who owns the place is super nice and welcoming and makes you immediately feel at home. The hostel is clean and has everything you need (including Netflix) and is located in the very center of Pereira. The breakfast in the morning is delicious (fresh fruit, toast and coffee/tea). I will definitely come back!

It's a hostel that is conveniently located in the city of Pereira, at only 10 minutes (walking) from the terminal of transport. Thanks to its location, it can be transported easily to different sites of interest of the city, is located a few metres from the zona rosa, which gives you ample options of places to eat and drink something to taste. The staff is definitely excellent, helpful and attentive. The areas are spacious and clean, giving a warm feeling of home that few places were you can get.
