Tingri, also known as Dingri, is a region located in the southern part of Tibet, China. It is situated at an altitude of over 4,300 meters (14,100 feet) and is known for its stunning mountainous landscapes and breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. The region is sparsely populated, with a small number of Tibetan villages scattered throughout the area. The traditional Tibetan culture and way of life are still very much preserved in Tingri, with many locals practicing Buddhism and living off the land as nomadic herders.
