It is on the main road and close to shopping mall and Indian restaurant. The rooms are smalll and very average buffet breakfast and reasonably priced room charges. The front office personnel are never be courtsey and many occasions they were rude which was quite unfotunate. Good view of the Shanghai city during night.

Good price, good location, excellent views. VERY convenient.

The service was terrible and the concierge was outright rude. The first floor they sent us to wreaked like smoke, so they tried to give us another room across the hall, eventually they gave us a room on another floor. The room was dirty, the wallpaper was falling down and badly stained, the arm chair had a big white stain on it, the towel rack fell off the wall, the hairdryer was falling off the wall, the toilet wouldn't flush properly, the fridge didn't work, the thermostat didn't work, the Wi-Fi signal was so weak it didn't work half the time and we couldn't get enough signal to send photos online. The room was so hot we had our balcony door wide open the entire week in the middle of winter and still woke up sweating. My sister-in-law, who speaks Chinese, was helping me get flowers delivered to the hotel for my wife. She had to yell at the concierge over the phone because of how rude he was being to her. He told the delivery man that he couldn't leave the flowers with concierge while I came down or he would throw them out. So the delivery man had to wait in the lobby while I came down. The only upside to this hotel is the price and location close to the metro. But, even with the cheap price it is not worth a stay. There are other hotels in the same area and I'm sure they would be a big improvement.

Great location but hotel is not well maintained. Internet speed is the worst I have seen in my many hotel stays. The mirror behind reception has water stain and was not cleaned the entire time I was there (1 month), broken mirror not replaced, misc items lying around, very poor upkeep.

Super hot room and terrible beds. Had to unplug noisy fridge. Free water!

Comfortable stay, and convenient to Tianzifan.

In addition to a good view, this hotel has nothing.

Good location close to subway and restaurants. Accidentally booked 1 day to short and adding a day after checkout cost double $.

Good location near by Metro Dapuqiao station.

This hotel and it's staff are the jewel of Shanghai! Every year I stay there and it's becoming homey (if you are for long stays and prefer an apartment, this is your best choice! ). Whatever you request they will try their best to help! There are younger employees at the front desk, some may find it irritating at first until you get to know them! Then it turns to the small friendly community away from home. Maybe I'm biased but I do love this place… Oh just cross the road toward McDonald's and next to it there's a tiny North west (Lanzhou halal noodles) restaurant.

Hotel itself is fine. 10 minutes walking distance to Dapuqiao subway station and French Concession. Our fridge was broken and even after talking to the manager they did not replace it or allowed us to move to a different room during our 4 night stay. There is no pool.

Normal hotel, 2 times a week cleaning and changing linen. But Ypsilanti superficial dust wipe. Big bills for utility, although it's unclear where. Staff speaks English poorly, though there are a couple of Chinese with normal English. If not finding fault, then fine. Tv in every room, there are English-speaking channels, free Wi-Fi, kitchen with gas stove (and it is in this high House). There's a free swimming pool and gym.

Having little knowledge of the Chinese language it was great to be greeted by English speaking staff. I was fortunate enough to stay on the 36th floor which provides dramatic views down to the Pudong River (when it is not smoggy). My room came with a living area, balcony, kitchen and ensuite, all of which were in great condition.

A small but nice room at the 4* quality level, and a steal at the $39 USD I paid for it. However, the Internet is paid-only, which is a major downside, and worse yet, is wired only, which means there is no way to get your phone online. Also, the service is positively hostile. A short walk away from Tianzifang.
