My husband and I had a wonderful time at the hotel! The food at the Marriott member’s lounge was amazing. The Sunday breakfast buffet downstairs is a top rated brunch spot in the city and was plentiful and delicious. Every staff member we encountered bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. And the view we had from the bedroom and bathroom was the BEST! WOW!

Great place to stay in Shanghai. The location is perfect. Just few blocks from the Bund, Nanjing Rd, etc. The best experience is the service and the people from the concierge that all are very helpful.

Westin Heavenly bed and heavenly bath.

The hotel is nice, very comfortable, multiple restaurants available in it, great gym, location is between the Bund and People's Square, that's convenient. The breakfast buffet is impressive and really good. I don't put 5 stars just because of an incident. I have indicated in my booking that I will arrive at around 9am, and I would need and early check in (as I wanted to shower after 12h flights before to go to the office). But the room was not ready. The only solution they propose was to pay more for an upgrade, but why should I pay for their mistake. So I had to shower at the Gym with my suitcase, not possible to have an iron if we are not in a room… after one hour the room was ready…

Service, accommodation is good ~ near Waitan, Nanjing Trail, French Concession, Tian Zifang, New World, Chenghuang Temple, is a hotel that can be considered accommodation ~ Price may be a question for everyone to consider.

We have visited many five-star hotels and restaurants in Shanghai these years. Westin Bund Center Shanghai is no doubt the leading one (and the Ritz Carlton too! ) we are most satisfied. The location is very convenient in the busy street of HeNan South Road where the nearby Temple of Shanghai City God and Bund are the must visit. The buffet dinner is also excellent with full of fresh seafood, not to mention my daughter most welcomed crawfish and our favorite deserts. Thanks to Westin, and the staff there too.

I'll start with the good. The room service menu has a very wide variety and the service from the staff has been up to expectations. The club lounge breakfast is also better than expected. Unfortunately I can't stay here. The Internet speed is abysmal (see screenshot). It's slow for servers in China but once you point it to anything outside of China it drops to unusable speeds. The air conditioner controls in my room are broken and couldn't be fixed. When set to 25 degrees the result was 22 and when I increased it to 28 the temperature dropped to 21. I even tried to switch it to heater mode 35 but it remained at 21. After calling maintenance, they set it back to 25 and said to wait. Half an hour later the temp stabilized at 23 at which point I just gave up and put on a sweater. Some of the equipment in the gym is starting to rust and break. They also split up the strength and cardio equipment across floors so you have to go up and down if you like to do both and for some reason they only make you check-in for cardio. The following are minor annoyances but still noteworthy given the price of this hotel. The room service food quality is inconsistent even for the same dish. I suppose it depends on who prepares it that night. There's no master room control so you have to walk around the room to turn off all the lights. The hot and cold faucet knobs turn symmetrically so it's easy to overheat if you forget that clockwise=open on the hot side.

Beautiful hotel, amazing views, excellent staff and food. Enjoyed a fine dinner at Prego and the breakfast buffet each morning. The artwork is truly special and the view of the skyline was so special!

Expensive but great stay. Closer to the bund area. Walkable to the river side.

"Waitan Center Westin" The male God sits at the bar to read the newspaper's favorite propellant's elegant brother, to be a male God, a foreign language must be good, will be two plus points. He said the hotel was deceptive and had no lotus tops at all. The little sister was on the show of the results of her 40-day campaign. This is the worst pseudo-set, the same is a pseudo-set, the room lost to Hongqiao Yuan one, Royal Le Meridien, tomorrow jw … The hotel said to give a very good view of the room … The only thing to say is the size of the lounge, hh eat more, there are steamed dumplings.

Four or five years ago, he came to this hotel a lot, visited the room, attended the annual meeting, and ate several restaurants upstairs and downstairs several times. Overall is a good old hotel, the price of 1200 or so.

This place was awesome. The rooms were beautiful. The breakfast buffet was unreal.

Compared to the mushrooming of new hotels rise, Shanghai The WESTIN Bund center, although slightly outdated, can be its superb location and excellent service but still attracts countless Chinese and foreign business guests. Two nights stay, the room service is very friendly!

May be due to the good location, during the National Day the room is booked full to the brim. Many carrying the children of the families. The benefits are being quietly upgraded to the Executive Suite, the downside is that the original can be extended check-out until very late, due to a listings shortage can only be allowed to PM.
Check-in process is slightly slow, mainly because there are always some guests feel free to jump the queue. Front Desk staff was very professional and enthusiastic. Executive floor, Elevator a little slow, always need to wait for a long time. Rooms although in itself the area is not small, but because of the layout does not seem very spacious. The quilt is a bit too thick to put the air conditioning temperature is very low as not to feel hot. As always commendable place has a very comfortable mattress and very invigorating hot water, in-house toiletries are also still good.
Breakfast quite satisfactory, the spg wine shop Breakfast seems to have nothing particularly commendable. The Manager is like go go Western dining experience, with ABSOLUTELY NO regards to the Asian faces of the guests. Is probably think everyone relatively close so these civilities on a free.

A beautiful and luxurious hotel that attracts westerners in Shanghai.

Great location, 5 minutes walk to the Bund! Stayed here for 4 nights, good location, about 5 minutes walk from the Bund, 5 minutes walk to East Nanjing Road subway station and Yuyuan subway station too. The hotel is a nice Westin from the ’90 in terms of architecture. Staff was just ok, the bell staff/ concierge were more friendly that the front desk. The evening buffet at the restaurant was pricey and ok. Free Wi-Fi in the room + the lobby. I’ve stayed into nicer Westins worldwide but it’s still a good product of Starwood.

This is more of a business hotel but I really enjoy my stays here. This is a nice location close to the Bund. The lobby and facilities are really nice. The breakfast buffet is one of my favorites in all of China. I really liked the rooms as well, very modern and clean. The concierge was amazing and went above and beyond for me.

Stuff stole the skin-care products blatantly, and management does not care at all.
