Great hotel even by Western standards. Rooms and views are beautiful. It must be relatively new. The only downside I saw was you must take a taxi to get over to the east side of the river. The west side of the river is being redeveloped, but right now that construction looks like new residential. The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable and safe. The concierge desk is eager to please, but English is very broken. You can get by with Google Translate. Beautiful steam showers and modern tub, lots of complementary toiletries. I get the feeling they really want their guests to feel like this is a top regional hotel.
Terrible! First room was a smoking room when I was told it wasn't'. Then, they charged me 200 RMB for a non-smoking room and it was obviously a smoking room. It smelt like an ash tray. The show was plugged so I had to stand in dirty water. The food in the restaurant was terrible and unsanitary. The hotel is very dirty. Not up to western standards!
