The family room is very spacious and amenities are more than expected. I also commend the hotel for being environment-friendly.

Rooms are nice, great location, reception staff friendly.
wish I could say the same about the cafe downstairs. Menu designed by someone who hates people, hurt my eyes to read and try to understand.
prices are higher than printed in the menu — "it says 29, but it costs 32". Staff grumpy and unfriendly. Refused to give Wi-Fi password without any explanation.
hotel promises a free drink for an fb checkin — well, I'm afraid to even ask with this attitude.

Hotel amenities are good. Clean and comfortable. Location although it is connected right next to SYP MTR entrance, it is still a bit of distance away to the actual train and require some stair climbing.

A relatively new hotel. The best thing I loved about it is its location which is only a stone throw away from the MTR station.

Stayed at this place for two short holidays in 2017 and 2018. Customer service was superb. Able to see that it is now even more crowded than before, showing that they are maintaining a strong repo with their guests!

Very nice hotel n very Good staff specially The hotel ManagerEMU YIP "GEM OF A PERSON". I had a problem with my hotel booking by the booking company. I was travelling with my family n was left with no option. This PIOUS GENTLEMAN not only helped me in dealing with the company n getting my dues back but also arranged for my stay n accommodation. Very big thanks to this person who was an ANGEL IN disguise for me n my family. God bless him. A very big thanks to him. God bless him.

Literally 2 meters from the metro station, close to local street food places. Rooms 5 star quality in every aspect.

Love it a lot. Decent price and great service! I love the view and space of the room. Definitely will go there again! I specially book it online and got like 70%off, the space of the room amazed me and the location is great in Hong Kong island. Just need to take a bit walk to the metro, but it's not a big deal, many food and things to buy around, definitely would stay there again next time.

A hotel not far from the center of Hong Kong. The double-decker tram stops here and not far from it is an MRT station. The room was very clean and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the downstairs restaurant is a bit gewönnungsbedürftig for Europeans.

Hotel staff were very friendly and professional, housekeeping was thorough and rooms are cleaned very well. Hotel itself is new and quite nice. Price was very reasonable. Cannot fault our stay!

Eco Tree is wonderful and priced well considering its convenient location right next to the MTR. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was polite, and the room was very clean. The water, tea, and daily newspaper were really appreciated. My only complaint was that there was no heating in the room, but our stay was during unusually cold weather. All in all I would definitely recommend!

We had a pleasant one night stay at Eco Tree. They accommodated our request for extra floor space for a cot and kindly upgraded us to a triple room. Last minute rate was very reasonable. Room was clean and modern, with the usual amenities. Cafe downstairs seems to be quite popular all day. The entrance is right next to the A2 exit for Sai Ying Pun MTR station. The nearest entrance with a lift is approx 5 minutes walk to the back of the same block.

I was accommodated there twice. Always got lucky and upgraded to the better room. Rooms are perfectly cleaned and reasonably big (especially in HK measurements). Breakfast is so so. They have just 4 a bit different meals which are made from the similar ingredients: combination of eggs, some sausages or ham, optionally beans and porridge, croissant) … didn’t match my taste.

Superb in every way:
location (near HK station and Airport Express),
ethos (seeking to do the right thing for the planet)
staff (supremely pleasant and helpful, even for very late check in)
rooms (generously and thoughtfully appointed)

Good hotel at an affordable price. The area where it is located is quite convenient and you can walk to many places to dine. The entrance to the premises, at least at the time of my stay, was in a side street.

Excellent hotel. Very comfortable, neat and clean. Convenient location — MTR station in the same building, tram and bus stop just out the building.

1. Exit at Sai Ying Pun Station, but there is no elevator, so it is not convenient to carry bulky luggage 2. The hotel entrance is not easy to find 3. I live in the bathroom shower door closed, so the water will run to the toilet part of the 4. Noise is not good, live 24 floor but also hear the first floor of the car horn Sound 5. Family room is two single beds plus a camping bed.

Friendly staff, convenient location, scrupmtious breakfast. Beds are cozy and room is clean.

The room I stayed in was very good, clean and decent sized by HK standards. Service was also good and the staff were responsive. As other reviewers say, there are plenty of places for food and refreshment nearby, as well as a 24-hr laundromat (with return service in 3-4 hours depending on when the clothes are dropped off), which is extremely convenient for travellers on long trips. One suggestion is for the management to install electric sockets which will accept USB cables (particularly near the bedside tables), which is a universal need in today's world of electronic devices which require charging. The rating would have been higher if not for the one significant disadvantage, which is the hotel frontage. There is literally NO place that one can get off a car or taxi in front of the hotel, which is slap bang alongside Des Voeux Rd West, with mostly pedestrian barriers and a double yellow line on the road. The road is very busy most times, with vehicles of all sorts, including large buses, so I could not get my taxi driver to stop in front, let alone unload my luggage. I was dropped off at the next intersection, Eastern Street and had to leave my wife looking after the bags while I went to see the people at Reception. They justified this saying that vehicles can make 'quick' stops (which would in fact be illegal, given the double yellow line) and also saying it was a "Boutique Hotel" and so did not have either luggage carts or bell service, which I found totally strange.

Room was decent size for HK and clean. It is right beside Siu Ying Pun A2 exit, but it is still 7min walk from entrance to the train. Entrance was a bit difficult to find, but not a big deal — you need to use the side entrance in the small alley or Eco Tree restaurant late at night. Forgot to bring HK power adapter and they had some I could borrow for free.

Do not stay. Dishonest counter staff charged us more than 10x the deposit amount to my credit card. Refused to admit mistake when I asked them if anything was wrong when I realised they looked flustered. They did not tell me it was a deposit amount but lied to me that it was the FULL PAYMENT. Upon my check out, I was lied to once again, when I asked why I was told to make such a large deposit that amounted to more than 10 times the deposit amount. A Manager lied once again, trying to confuse me with loaded information. At last, 5 hours later right before we left for the airport, I went to the counter once again and saw a more senior officer, which also claimed to be the manager. He did a check and apologised for the mistake that his staff made. I accept this apology, but the fact that 3 counter staff lied to my family and I, and even tried to cover up, was blatant CHEATING. Telling a guest that he would "not have to pay a deposit" when leaving my credit card details, and suddenly deducting a large amount without seeking our approval is against the law. Do not stay. I am contemplating lodging a police report.

Near by MRT station and tram, easy access to going to central, comfortable, and free storage luggages before check in and after check out. If I come again to Hongkong, this is will be my first option to stay. Thank you Eco tree hotel.

Great location (located just next to the MTR entrance, just a few stops away from Central/Causeway Bay — walkable if you really want to), rooms are clean and of a good size. Definitely value-for-money and a hidden gem!

Great hotel! Had the family room. Expected a small room, but had a big room. Very clean, staff is friendly and very convient to mrt. My next trip to hong Kong, I'm coming here again!

Expedient and inexpensive hotel on Hong Kong Island, two MTR stops west of Central (exit A2 of MTR Sai Ying Pun is literally next door to the hotel entrance through the Eco Tree coffee bar). Rooms are clean and modern, somewhat smaller than typical but in line with what can be expected in Hong Kong. Reception on 7th floor, rooms on 8th through 24th floor. View of Hong Kong harbor and Stonecutters bridge.

Super nice though you do have to walk a little bit down the metro station, the exit is just right next to the entrance to the hotel, which makes it remarkably easy to find. And the rooms are super nice, the staff are friendly. Overall rating is gonna be a ten out of ten definitely.

Just right outside Exit A2 of Sai Ying Pun MTR. Was given a room on 26flr with harbour view. Excellent hotel n value for money. Room came without breakfast, but no worries as there is plenty of restaurants n food outlets around the vicinity.

Great, comfortable hotel. Feels spacious despite the crowdedness of Hong Kong. Stayed at the suite with several friends — loved that we could all stay in the same room while having enough space. It even had two bathrooms!

Fantastic hotel, great rooms, price and location. We were really pleased with every aspect of the accommodation, and the staff were friendly and happy to help. Extremely handy for getting on the MTR and only a few minutes from Central station. Tip, use exit A2 from Sai Ying Pun MTR station, the hotel is immediately on your left, entry through Eco Cafe.

Very spacious room! For the price that they offer, this is very worth while. View from the room is great! The room is very clean and neat, nicely refreshed for the guests. Great location as well! Near to the MTR and bus stop, there are a few supermarkets just around the corner. Not to mention the numerous eateries around here.
