There is no way you can call this a 5 star hotel. Shower head is absolutely nasty and needs replacing. Shower doesn't drain. The food is $30 for a burger that you can watch them pull from a frozen bag and cook it. Spa is absolutely outrageous. Room was overpriced. Minibar wants $4 for chips. Unless you have a lot of money to waste best pass on this hotel and take a DiDi 20 minutes away into the city.

Great rooms, buffet was underwhelming. Convenience factor was really helpful, would definitely stay there again.

Everything breathes the high end in this hotel. Really nothing to complain about.

Beautiful (at the airport) hotel, super friendly and helpful staffs. Perfect for transit and/or place to stay during your holiday.

Don't buy business class tickets on your way to Europe. Have a stopover in Guangzhou for one or two nights. Get a 24 or 72 hour VISA (no charge). Book a room at Pullman Hotel Baiyun Airport. It is only 5min walk from the airport. Modern, clean. Book a room with a view to the runway so you can see the planes taking off. Then. Take a taxi to the city ($35 AUD) and enjoy the night life … … maybe at Maxims Restaurant Bar or Revolucion Bar (later in the night). Search on Google Maps, available in China if you use Vodafone $5 /day roaming. Back to the hotel in the early hours. No traffic … so fast. A good night (or what is left out of it) sleep, after. Breakfast. Shower. Walk 5 min to the airport. Then. Looking forward to your next flight to Europe. And your future trip to China, probably.

Great, especially if you re flying late at night or early in the morning. Bathroom had water clogging issue but overall, it's spacious, comfortable, clean. The swimming pool is great, the U8 restaurant serves yummy a la carte dishes on premises or in your room (try the BBQ pork sandwich or Hainan chicken). Arrived at 4h in the morning, and glad to see people at the reception and even called a room service at 4h30.

Very convenient for early morning flights. Can use WI-FI with no problem for an access limitation.

Definitely not a five stars hotel. I got twin bed. It looks fine but when I try to sleep in it the mattress sink in. I didn't get any sleep. It is one of the most uncomfortable bed I ever encountered. As far as location, it's excellent. Staffs are also excellent.

Very posh hotel near the airport. Walking distance from the airport (around 50m). Arrived at around 0030. There are 5 staff at the counter but only 1 is available for check-in. We waited around 15-20 minutes to go through the check-in process which is not acceptable. Was guided to the executive wings but not exactly to the room. Ordered room service. Took more than one hour and 3 follow up calls. Very disappointed on the service. Luckily room was very nice and to our liking. Breakfast was good and highly recommended. Overall service can be improve further.

A posh hotel in an unbeatable location if you have a really early flight. The price was about £75 for a night, which is perfectly acceptable for business, but I would even consider it as a private traveler. Reception staff were efficient. The room was quite luxurious, with a large comfortable bed and some free fruit. I slept in instead of having breakfast but a colleague said he asked them to cook an omelette especially for him and that it was superb. It's just a 15 min wander to the main airport / China Southern business lounge. The only issue for me was that in the night, some Muzak that had been left on unnecessarily filtered in through the closed windows from somewhere outside — but it's not the hotel's fault.

Staff was unfriendly, Rooms are anything else but clean and the service is bad! Definitely not a 5 star hotek!

Having stepped off a long flight from London, the short walk from the hotel to the airport was easy and the reception staff at the Pullman both very helpful and courteous. The room that was allocated to me was a King suite, the bed super comfortable and the sheets a pleasure to sleep in. The buffet downstairs was good value and of a very high standard with a wide range of beautifully prepared foods both Asian and Western. With an early morning flight, I simply walked back to the airport, checked in, and flew on to Sydney. This was a transit hotel for me but certainly worth every cent and highly recommended as being good value for a quick break on the way to Australia.

Good for transit, very friendly hotel.

This hotel is very fancy and is a short walk to the airport terminal. The hotel is very convient to the airport and the city. The subway system is just below the airport terminal and is very fast and clean and cheap (7 yuan). The room is very large with a super comfortable bed. The hotel corridors and lobby has great sculptures and porcelain vases.
