I loved it the minute I walked in.
Simple yet sophisticated, a hostel full of the most important luxuries in life: a warm and tremendously welcoming atmosphere, which is authentic and the opportunity to meet like-minded, like-hearted and interesting people from all over the world and share moments that will stay with you forever. All areas of the hostel are clean and clearly well cared for and the rooms are spacious and cosy, with comfortable beds. There is a wide choice of rooms, from private to several people sharing and the location could hardly be more ideal, just 5 minutes away from the bus station and the town, hugged by Lake Lllanquihue and crowned by volcanoes. My young son and I had some of the most memorable experiences in this hostel, which truly felt like a home away from home, and we will certainly be going back there when we travel to Chile again. It is a hostel run with love and you can feel it when you stay there. It honestly cannot recommend it enough; it is a very, very special place.

TLDR; Great hostel, would recommend to anyone. One of the best hostels I have been to. The hosts were charming and very nice. Pierre, the owner, was also our guide on a day trip to Osorno (detailed below). We slept incredibly well despite the cold weather, thanks to the very high number of blankets per bed and a small fire place in our quarters. The kitchen was remarkably well furnished with a great gaz stove and almost brand new pots and pans. There was plenty of storage room for all guests at the hostel during our 3 night stay in Puerto Varas. This hostel has a great vibe, its cottage theme made it very cozy in all weather. We had the chance to go on a guided day-trip to a close-by volcano (Osorno). The tour was given by the owner of the hostel. We hiked up the side of Osorno with a great group of people staying at the hostel. The views were spectacular and the hike was a good challenge. The way down was done on mountain bike, which gave a perfect ending to a great day-trip. Would recommend to anyone. Gregory & Fauve.

Clearly the best place we stayed to in Chile. Very nice owner speaking fluent French English and Spanish and willing to give tons of advice. Very cozy house, very comfy beds, and warm atmosphere. 200% recommended.

Today I was been questioned using other 's shampoo and washer. I swear I never touch other's belongings. The Staff who works there as a volunteer asked me why I used her shampoo and her soap again!?! WHF She was nice to me at he first day then after one day she became cold because she thought I am using her things these days! So angry. Today is my last day, after I came out of the toilet she didn't asked me "Did you touch or use my shampoo and soap? " instead she asked me "why you are using my staff! Again?!? " So funny. She treated me as a thief, as a homeless! Such a awful moment, I should have a evidence there. She did apologize to me, but It doesn't mean I feel okay. I am so angry and upset even time past 6 hours. Saying again, I had a worst experience there but I didn't say it is the worst hostel. The hostel is beautiful and comfortable. Except her, other staffs are very helpful, friendly 집이 이뻐서 지나가다가 노크해서 들어옴, ㅈㄴ 추움! 还好, 不提供早饭觉得好可惜

Loved this place! One of the most homey hostels we stayed at during our four month trip. The house is old and beautiful, and the hostel has a social (but not at all "party") atmosphere. People were watching movies, preparing food, and planning outings together in the cozy living room.

From the minute you arrive you feel like a guest at someones home. You get a map where everything important of the city is marked. Furthermore you get very good recommendations about the stuff you can do in the nature in that region. I recommend doing a tour to hike up the volcano anf bike down with a bike. You can book that experience in the hostel an it’s worth every peso. It is very good to stay at the hostel even when it’s raining. They have a small oven with a sofa in front of it which is very comfy. Also the beds a very good and your sheets are changed every single day. You can use everything even after you checked out until you have to leave. I would recommend that hostel to a friend.

Very nice place, clean, very friendly owner, the people who are mostly staying are foreigners.
Clean bathrooms also when leaving (checkout) we were able to leave the bags in the hostel!
The only annoying thing was that in the part that faces the front of the hostel you hear very loud the noise of the cars.
But everything else super!

Stayed in the private room in their 2nd building. It is double the size of normal private rooms in hostels but unfortunately only shared bathroom option available (only a problem in the morning since all 3 washrooms have showers which means no toilet until they finish) The back garden is great and they have a bbq with plenty of firewood… perfect in the summer! Decent sized kitchen with new equipment. Staff were all friendly and happy to add to the atmosphere.

Like home! The hostel is very nice it feels good. What is just missing is a breakfast included and it will be perfect!

Problem with original booking was quickly resoloved. Rooms are clean and decent size. Shared bathrooms are well ewuiped and clean. Staff are eager to help and multilingual. In addition there is a large well equipped shared kitchen.

My room was fantastic, being fitted out with a fireplace, security locker and a powerpoint right next to the bed. The staff are very friendly and happy to help with whatever they can. I found it very easy to meet people in the common room or in the kitchen. Overall great facilities, Wi-Fi is strong, good location close to the town center. I would stay here again.

Super Hostal. I had a great time! Everything was perfect, I felt like home. The house is superb, the dorms are spacious. The small sofa area with the fireplace is top. Thank you to Pierre and the team for their welcome, kindness and advice.

Hidden gem, we booked this place blind, showed up and it was outstanding, we only stayed one night, wish we stayed longer. Kitchen was excellent, rooms spacious. Stay for a few days and discover the town.

We loved the hostel! Would recommend them a thousand times! It is a former house, beautiful, very spacious and cozy. In our room he passed the pipe of the wood stove and in addition I had an electric stove, so I slept very warm, which was greatly appreciated; the bed was very comfortable, the huge window (as the output of a short story) and with nice view. Bathrooms clean, large and the shower water very hot, a delight! The common spaces invite you to share with other travelers, with comfortable armchairs, TV with many movies available, large table to share meals with others and the kitchen very organized. The people who work at the place are very friendly and make you feel like at home. In addition, located one block from the center. In summary, the best hostel we have stayed in in a long time, in fact we were going to be a day and we ended up staying three…

Booked a private room with a female friend because of the many good reviews. Initially booked for one day and on arrival we were asked to confirm before the evening if we would be staying a second night. After having a chance to look around town briefly, we decided we would not stay and informed the pleasant British woman that was working there. We did need to use the computers to find ourselves a hostal for the next destination and it was only available in the main house (rooms at this hostel are in two separate building a one minute walk apart from each other) and only until 11pm. We were heading out for dinner, but the woman working there assured us that as long as we arrived before 11pm, it would be no problem for us to keep using the computer until after that time. When we arrived at the main house after dinner at 10:30pm, the door was locked, so we rang the doorbell. A short, dark haired woman with a French accent appeared and asked what we wanted. We explained that we were there to use the computer, but she said it was too late in the night for that. We tried to explain what the other woman had told us, but she would not listen and was quite rude in her mannerism.

We had such a good experience in this hostel, so much more than I expected! We went from a 2 nights reservation to a 5 nights because it was too good to leave. Very well located, super clean — I love their rule to take off shoes when entering the shower, it makes everything so much cleaner and cosier and above all, great vibes all around. Do try the tours, they make Puerto Varas and the surroundings even better! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

Very nice place to stay! Especially the kitchen was in a very good condition, all the equipment is there. Bedrooms and bathrooms were both clean and in a good condition too. Just a bar in the hostel would have been nice, seen it in a couple of hostels I stayed before. But I'd still recommend this place to everybody!

Brilliant place. I stayed here back in 2014 and keep recommending the place to friends visiting PV. Bicycle hire, torus and good accommodation (clean and social).

Great experience, it's clean, it's beautiful… it feels almost at home! I travel for several years and this is honestly the nicest hostel I've seen. The staff speaks french and they have the best deals in town for outdoor trips!
