Honestly this place deserves 5 of 5 stars. Came there to stay over night during our small trip to Victoria and was surprised by how awesome the stay was. Very kind owner greeted by the door when we came and showed us around. The was a minor problem with hot water but it was resolved in a matter of minutes. I am only mentioning this problem to emphasize how quickly it was resolved. Very nice location as well — not too far away from the downtown and also right next to the government-Lieutenant (I hope I spelled it Wright haha) house which is in the middle of the beautiful park. To sum it up I think that when you are traveling you should stay in a places like that because a night there is like a small event by itself. PS jacuzzi is for the win.

I wish it was possible to give more than 5 stars as this place is amazing. Luxurious and beautiful, this was the best hotel we stayed at in Canada. The owner is so so lovely and friendly and was so welcoming, we felt so at home! The rooms are immaculate and the whole experience of staying here was perfect. Would 100% recommend staying here!

Always Perfect. Amazing breakfasts is an understatement. Light and Airy, not dark. The smell of roasting granola wafts from the kitchen in the evening. A privelege for all of us to be sponsoring the restoration of this grand manor.

Wonderful stay at Fairholme Manor! Sylvia and Ross are wonderful and made us feel very at home. The breakfast was delicious, beautiful rooms and we loved that we could easily walk downtown for dinner. Also enjoyed chatting with other guests during our stay. Will definitely be staying here in the future!

Beautiful place. Really nice rooms and garden. Great breakfast. Very cozy. Lady owner/host was a little defensive when we had some issues with our room which made it uncomfortable. Issues were minor and if it had been dealt with calmly and less defensive then no problem.

There's a beautiful garden, the rooms have a nice classic home-like feel, you could tell that the owner spent time to design and place each decor. Even got chocolate and fresh roses on the bedside. The included breakfast is just amazing and the owners are warm and welcoming.

This beautiful B&B was the highlight of our stay in Victoria. Its located conveintly 10mins from the ferries in downtown. There are lovely gardens and a castle within 5mins of walking distance. When we arrived there was also a concert going on in the back park which you can see from the houses backyard. Our hosts Sylvia and Ross were nothing but helpful in finding us a restaurant for dinner to advising us when to take the Black Ball Ferry since only 3 leave a day and are usually booked out. Everything during our stay was beautiful and we loved our little suite overlooking the gardens and all of the beautiful flowers that were placed everywhere from garden roses to peonies in the room and across the house. There were also fancy shampoos, lotion, and bath salts in the bathroom that smelled amazing. The breakfasts was amazing and all organic and freshly made by Sylvia with house-made granola, fresh fruit, Chocolate stuffed croissants and gourmet egg dishes called blossoms that are baked in filo dough and made fresh with a side of smoked salmon. We enjoyed our stay and it was a very "homey" atmosphere. The price is a little bit on the higher side but the breakfast and great hosts make you feel like you're at your favorite aunts house.

Probably the nicest place we have ever been to! Sylvia and Ross are very charming hosts, offer excellent breakfast, run a super personal and beautifully styled manor, which is located in a wonderful neighborhood with a marvelous garden — just outstanding!

Exceptional​ B&B, one of the nicest we've stayed. Absolutely gorgeous home and gardens, quiet comfortable and opulent rooms in the perfect location. Breakfasts ​were the best we have had at any B&B. Ross & Sylvia were gracious welcoming hosts and went out of their way to help us with everything to make our visit special. Highest recommendation possible.

We loved, loved, loved Fairholme. We traveled with another couple and we all were so pleased. Sylvia and Ross were adorable and made us feel so special. Our room was perfect and comfortable even had fresh flowers. We breakfasted at the shared table and enjoyed meeting a couple from Switzerland and sharing travel and life stories. You will not believe the breakfast that Sylvia prepares, simply scrumptious. We did not need lunch and then splurged on dinner. There were even two deer waiting out front for us when we came home from dinner. They waited for me to take a picture but my camera wasn't cooperating so they eventually wandered off. Would love to go back and spend more time seeing Victoria. Don't miss Butchart Gardens! Joan and John Whitaker, Aiea, Hawaii.

The room was beautiful with plenty of awesome additions that made the evening. The hosts were friendly and polite and the breakfast they made was tasty, would definitely visit again.

Totally converted us to B&Bs! The house is great, and Sylvia's breakfasts' are in a class of their own. In a great quiet neighborhood, yet still walkable to the downtown area. If you you're on the fence, just do it. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful room, well a whole apartment, everything tasty, wonderful bed sheets, very friendly owner and manager, great breakfast! I felt like a queen. The homemade bread was to die for.

Our violin and cello duo performed at Fairholme Manor for a wedding ceremony on September 7, 2013, and the clients and Duo d'Amore were clearly very pleased with the venue and staff. The garden is a perfect location for an outdoor ceremony as there is ample shade from the trees on the property. Highly Recccomended.

Best B/B EVER! We scouted this place when looking for a venue to get married. We got married in their garden (50 guests) and ended up renting all 4 rooms for the family in the main part of the mansion basically having the whole place to ourselves. The whole experience was flawless. We've stayed there three times, a different room each visit; and found the whole mansion to be wonderful. The best part is Sylvia and her amazing breakfasts. It may be a few more dollars than a cheaper downtown hotel, but the Fairholme has so much to offer, and it's totally worth it. We went back for our 1-year anniversary, and were upgraded. I love this place. It's next door to Govt-House and gardens, 3 blocks from the Castle, and within walking distance of downtown (if you bring comfy shoes and about 40 min of your time) ; and the great part of walking to downtown is you get to pass through Antique-Row, which makes it even better. Location, it's perfect. Beauty, it's perfect (all seasons). Value, it's perfect. Hoteling is out, and B/B is in. The mansion is slightly secluded and difficult to find, which makes it even more appealing. It's a must-stay.
