Hosts were amazing! Friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. I had an incredible sleep in a super comfortable bed!

Had a lovely stay at the McLay Heritage House! Sat by a warm fire, welcomed by Teresa, our host, enjoyed a delicious eggs benny for breakfast. I highly recommend this B and B.

Warm and wonderful hospitality from hosts Teresa and Jim. The house is beautiful with original wood paneling. The front verandah and great room are great places to relax outdoors or indoors. The rooms are well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Teresa is an excellent chef! Highly recommend making McLay Heritage House a home away from home while staying on Vancouver Island!

Teresa was a great host, she catered to all our needs (dietary and sleeping arrangements). Her husband was busy, so we didn't see him much because he was playing at the music festival that weekend. The breakfasts were delicious and were more than enough for us to spend our day out on the bike trails. Accommodations were clean and very comfortable. It was great that we had use of the common area for entertaining ourselves in the evening. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Lovely host, quiet location, nice rooms. The bathrooms were not clean, no attention to detail. Living space for guests was full of clutter and personal stuff. Felt like we were visiting someone's unorganized home instead of a B and B. Huge potential for this place. Needs some de-cluttering…

Beautiful old house with a welcoming character and even more welcoming hosts. Very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and appropriately creaky stairs. Games galore or books to read for quiet afternoons or evenings.

Our host, Teresa, is why I return to the McLay House every year. She willingly does all the ”extras” that you won't receive in a hotel setting. Each breakfast was a delicious feast specially prepared with each guest in mind. She makes you feel like family. The McLay House used to be an old hunting lodge. It has a huge front veranda which became our place to socialize every night with a cocktail. There are many things to do in the area, including wine tasting, local music venues, and weekly outdoor food markets. Just ask Teresa!

We love McLay Heritage House. Theresa and Jim are the most wonderful, friendly hosts. We just returned from our second stay and already miss it. Theresa makes scrumptious breakfasts, especially her scones and oatmeal’s! Her attention to the details of your stay with her is unsurpassed. She has recommended and reserved local eateries that did not disappoint. She makes us feel like we are at home. We will gladly return next year!

Lovely home and lovely hosts that went above and beyond the call to make our group stay the most comfortable experience possible. If I could give our hosts more then 5 stars I absolutely would. Definitely recommend this B&B. Best B&B I've stayed at, hands down!

Fabulous B & B! Clean, cozy rooms with a comfortable bed and soft sheets. Ended our stay with a scrumptious 5 star breakfast. Definitely would recommend staying here while in Duncan.

Our hosts were fantastic, made us feel right at home and accommodated our large group. They even made us breakfast burritos the night before we had to leave early in the morning for the airport. The house is beautiful and clean, and the bathtub actually fit me! Overall it was a wonderful place to stay while on the Island for a wedding.

A comfortable, well equipped and supremely located B&B in Duncan. The hosts are magnificent, and so eager to make your stay special. Highly recommended.

Very friendly, warm, welcome. Accommodating, excellent breakfast, amazing linens, comfy beds, nice ambiance, clean bathroom facilities.

My husband and I stayed at the McLay Heritage Guest House earlier this month and were blown away. Jim and Teresa were so kind and welcoming and the quaint and cozy atmosphere of their home gave us the perfect place to relax while on our getaway. Our room was clean and comfortable and had little comforts of home including a basket of assorted granola bars, protein bars and fruit if we needed a little snack to take on our daily adventures. Our delicious and well rounded breakfast was served beside the crackling fire and included french pressed coffee, fresh fruit and yogurt as an appetizer (what?! ). With beautiful views, character and history this is definitely a home-away-from-home that I would recommend to anyone — what a pleasure it was to stay here! All in all, this was our first experience at a Bed and Breakfast — the only downfall of our experience was that it has ruined us for any other B&B out there. This was my first experience staying at a bed and breakfast. WOW! Such an amazing place. My sister found this beautiful B&B heritage house for my bachelorette. I cant tell you enough how amazing the hosts Teresa and Jim accommodated all of us gals. They both were super friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much for everything you did for me and my ladies.
