Worst service … worst host … they promised two queen beds but we got twin room only… and owner was arguing that Pat more to get more … I would give9 star.

Location is convenient, rooms are pretty alright, for their price they're good. Stayed overnight and was satisfied with the stay, but not necessarily impressed. Not bad!

Great! Staff is helpful and welcoming. Room is clean and organized.

It was a great place to stay, my dog was allowed, not fancy but quiet.

You get what you pay for… and I was looking for inexpensive. It is. However, unlike other reviewers, I am satisfied; the sheets are new-ish and very clean, the entire room is clean, and although the room configuration is a bit bizarre (Room next to the road; watch your step walking in) it is sufficient. Would I stay here again? Of course. Am I satisfied? Of course.

Couldn't find anywhere to stay near tofino so I looked around Port Alberni. It's about 1.5 hours away from tofino. The price is good. Rooms are old but it's good enough if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep. It's a short drive away from the gas station, fast food, supermarket, and other necessities.

It was ok, could certainly have been worse. If you are concerned about cleanliness and decor this wouldn't be the place for you. Rooms are dated with old furniture and could use a good deep clean as we found old food (piece of moldy pizza) and various items from previous guests in the fold out bed as well as dirty walls etc. Rooms are a good size however and staff are friendly and accommodating. I personally won't return, but good for someone who wants a cheap room.

If you are on a budget, then this place is hard to beat. Aircon, bathroom with shower, 2 bedrooms with double bed and futon, kitchenette with microwave, cooker and fridge-freezer. I didn't really need all that, and it wasn't included in the description, so I may have got one of those no-other-rooms-left upgrades. Anyway, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and for me the location was great. It's not a palace, and although the room was clean and tidy it didn't have the freshest smell I've ever smelt, but for value, it has to be given 5 stars.

This was a fabulous choice… sure it's not "The Ritz" … but this place was comfortable and clean … Very clean… best "bang for your buck". And very very friendly… they are certainly focused on excellent customer service.

The Manager was friendly. The room was small — one person had to go outside if another wanted to turn around — one bed had a valley and squeaked; the other bed had lumpy mountains. The shower easily got too hot at a slight touch of the tap and couldn't guide the spout from spraying on the floor. To use the toilette had to sit under the sink. However I think the spider liked the corner as had built quite a nest.

Very friendly staff, Clean, price is right. Older building, quiet.

It's not the best place in town but it's not the worst.

Alright — I think a tent would have been better, to be honest. We crashed here because our car broke down, but we can't recommend it at all. It was dirty overall, pretty offensive, the dishes were dirty, there was mold in the shower, the towels were old, and the bed uncomfortable and there was hair everywhere. This is definitely the sketchiest place I've ever been to and not worth 75 bucks. I was really worried about catching a hepatitis.

I was pleasantly surprised to land a room for under $50. I thought that, for that price, the room was going to be a real dive. But actually, it wasn't that bad. If I had anything bad to say, it would be that there is obviously a glut of accommodation available in Port Alberni and there are lots of people who will pay through the nose for the finest rooms around. So as a consequence, very economical rooms are available that will be dirty if you arrive without booking the room before hand. Call ahead, and your room will be clean. I'll tell you this — for the price — I don't care how dirty a room is. I just want a place to have a shower, and change my clothes. I bring my own pillow cover and blankets, no matter if I stay in a FINE Hotel or a cheap dive. I watched the CBC special on Hotels and Motels in Canada — and learned my lesson from their experiences. You should too. Bring your own linen. You will be glad you did.
