They will offer a decent room like any hotel should. However my experience with them was unsatisfactory. Booked a room for two nights which were 1 week apart. During the first night, July 8, their Wi-Fi was weak to non-existent. In the morning their breakfast included sausages and bacon that were so bad I could not eat at all! When I was there a week later and ready to pay for my second stay they came up with a rate that was about $30 more than the night before. Their explanation first was that it was the ferry night and the rates for this night were higher. I quickly booked a room in the neighboring Lion's Inn and went in to tell them I will not need the room any more. At this point they told me, the rate was different because it was now for 3 adults and 1 kid instead of 2 adults and 2 kids. (my 16 year old son had all of a sudden become an adult in 6 days without turning 17! ). Told them that was fine as I did not need the room. Then, the same night they used my card info to charge me a $50 fee and refused to refund it! Their final comment was that they were losing on the ferry night! This, considering that everyone who gets the ferry leaves without breakfast that they had paid for! A terrible place! Avoid!

Not a bad place to stay at all… Good service, decent sized rooms that are clean, although the general decor is a bit outdated. Hallway carpets are badly stained in some areas. Breakfast buffet is pretty good, a limited selection but always adding fresh food. All around friendly staff, which really counts.

Hotel is pretty good — clean and quiet. Food choices are limited. Adjacent pub is typical Cisco fare. Got sick from eating there though. Also witnessed a violent assault right outside the restaurant. Yeesh.

Perfect starting point for our trip to San Josef bay. Very friendly staff and wonderful local pub.

Drove up to Port Hardy on Vancouver Island, the local visitors centre gave us some lunch locations. Quarter Deck Inn seems the best. Warm inside and cold outside. We shared the Coconut Prawns and battered Calamari. Then Halibut and chips. Food was fresh and hot. Price was reasonable. The view of the marina was ok, but nothing to write about,

Just phoned to see about getting a room for my partner who got off the BC Ferry at 5am. Roads are snowy and in very bad shape heading down island. Wanted her to have a warm and safe place to be until the roads cleared. Woman who answered the phone at your hotel was unbelievable rude and condescending. I had no issue with paying the full day rate for a few hours but after my experience with her on the phone I will always take my business when I travel to Port Hardy elsewhere.

First choice for a hotel in Port Hardy. The staff are excellent and the view is very nice.

Probably wouldn't return if I had the choice. Dreadful beds — like cement blocks. Very dated and badly planned rooms. Staff look like they don't like their jobs and are bored. No ideas on sightseeing or dining options. Mediocre at best.

The best part of staying at the quarter deck inn is the amazing free breakfast. Every morning you get a free full breakfast at the pub in the hotel and it is fantastic. Complementary coffee and amazing customer service is what makes this inn a great place to stay. Some improvements and the reason why I couldn't rate it a 5 was due to the room quality. The rooms are dimly lit and can get cold in the winter. The shower heads were pretty poor as well. I really want to give 5 stars but the rooms could be improved. Awesome view of the docks is a bonus!

Great location for experiencing the north island life and scenery. Good amenities, really enjoyed my stay.

Pretty basic facilities and fairly noisy due to the Pub next door. But don't complain about the pub… it's where you get breakfast. But don't be in a hurry for breakfast… 40 minutes just get coffee!

The rooms are well appointed. The service is top notch. You can tell they are making a lot of effort. I like it. Made my family welcome. The breakfast is at the pub on the property. It needs a renovation bad. Its the hotel's step child. By far one of Port Hardy's best offering, so will certainly revisit again!

Clean modern rooms. Pet friendly. The free breakfast buffet was fantastic, eggs, meat, bread, fruits, pancakes and more!
