Very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable rooms and beds. Great location and an amazing free breakfast of everything from cereal to self made waffles, bacon scrambled eggs. We are traveling with our dog and had no problems. There is a surcharge for pets. We will stay here again.

Dirty and smelly and looks nothing like the pictures on the internet. Carpet and furniture in the rooms was from the 1970’s and smelled heavily of mold, and I rented “one of the best suites”! They let the general public use the pool and amenities. Go to the Comfort Inn in town where they have some pride.

Had a very nice stay at the hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly and informative. Did not expect a hot breakfast and it was great. The room was not in keeping with the appearance of the hotel. I would rate the room at a 10/10 — bed, shower, security, etc. Were all above what I expected. I would rate the hotel appearance as an 8/10, it is a bit dated looking. All being said, great value at the end of the day. Will stay there next time we are in the city. Wife was very happy with this hotel.

Wow! A horrible experience! Dirty, loud small rooms! Loud all night. Gross swimming pool and green water in the hot tub. The worst part was my eight your old daughter left in tears as they wouldn't let her play mini golf in the morning. We will definitely never stay here again! Worst hotel I have ever slept in!

We arrived rather late in the evening, we were pleased to get a room at a short notice, staff were pleasant and very helpful we were excited to see our room/two beds up a loft and a pull out couch, perfect for three Sisters! I would recommend it to my friends for sure.

Clean, affordable, convenient hot with terrific hot breakfast that exceeded expectations. Front desk staff was first rate: My daughter fell ill overnight and front desk clerk provided me with Tylenol with a smile and kind words.

Rooms have a nice layout. Housekeeping doesn't have the best attitude, all seem extremely rushed and make it seem like a big deal to give you any service and I might add we have the majority of the time, not asked for much. Almost an attitude that you're inconveniencing them to do their job, at most hotels housekeeping is friendly and realize although they are not front line staff, they are expected to be courteous and polite just the same way as those who work at the front desk. There is a pool and gym on-site, although they seem to be open to the public as well? Which really takes away from the use of the hotel guests who may be on vacation or getting away for the weekend. Continental breakfast is great and the staff who work there are really friendly and accommodating.

Ive only use there indoor pool today very warm they have hot tub sauna dry heat pool area clean walk off parking lot to pool.

I had a very comfortable third floor room with a loft bedroom (! ) and amazing view. The breakfast was standard, the FOH staff was lovely, but the room service left a bit to be desired. I stayed four nights and had my room “cleaned” once — all they did was change the garbage in the bathroom (leaving the old bag on top of my things on the counter) and exchange my tiny bar of hand soap for a new one.

Beautiful third floor with nice view of the river. A second floor for the two beds makes for spacious living. Internet is fine except you have to re sign in again sometimes. House keeping late both days but not a big deal as you can call for towels and garbage.

Would not stay at this property in the future. Great view but that's about it. Dated room needing repairs. Given wrong room. Windows left open so freezing on check in! No toiletries. No shower curtain! Iffy Wi-Fi. Loud banging pipes!

Five star rating is because of Michelle, the Night manager on the evening of our arrival. She went out of her way to accommodate our every need and was the sweetest person possible. Hotel is old but clean and right on the coast. We had a king loft with upstairs bedroom and living room downstairs. Really cool. Two TV’s. Great price but our stay was off season, in January. Don’t get excited about the balcony we could hardly get the sliding door open but the ocean air was great. We’ll stay again thanks to the wonderful staff!

Nice small room has two floors very clean. Breakfast is included, the beds are very comfortable, and the employees are superb.

Love this hotel. The loft rooms are awesome! Good breakfast but the pool area definitely needs updating.

Great hotel right near the water. The woman at the desk that checked us in was friendly and chatty even at 10 at night. The bigger rooms on the bottom floors are quite nice with a lot of room. Our room had a bathroom, bedroom, and a small living room with a TV in between. There's also a mini golf course, exercise room, pool, and coin operated laundry room with a couple vending machines. The complimentary continental breakfast, like most Best Westerns, is simple with a lot of different choices. I would definitely stay here again for longer if I could.

Older, well maintained motel on the old Island Highway 2 km from downtown Campbell River. Everything you'd want, better breakfast than most. We've stayed at several motels here and this one is better than most. You can hear your neighbors, our room was close to an entrance so lots of traffic in the hall at times. We could hear footsteps above us so a third floor room might help with that. The fact that it was full every night probably confirms it's rate versus quality. Most Campbell River motels don't have A/C and this one was no exception but with the balcony you can leave the door ajar if needed.

I recommend this hotel to anyone that wants good prices, great service, and a casual and relaxed environment. We stay here often. They have free breakfast with a waffle machine, a beautiful view of the ocean, and very affordable, large, clean rooms. Personally, my favorite is the pool area with hottub which has fun paintings of mermaids on the wall. I find it all very relaxing.

Helpful and polite staff. Nice comfortable room, although the shower walls could have been cleaner. Breakfast was good, with a number of choices, although we had to walk outside to get to the breakfast room. The food at the restaurant/pub was good. Free parking was available, and good Wi-Fi connection. Nice walking path along the river, just across the street.

This is rated as a 3 rather than a 4 only because the hotel is older and could use some refurbishment. It is however very good in terms of value, staff, breakfast, location and cleanliness. Some would rate it 4 and it would be tough to argue against that. I would recommend this hotel for shorter stays as a 4.

Absolutely a great place to be, service is terrific, rooms are great and clean with fantastic beds. Love the pool, hot tub, and sauna. They have the absolutely best and tastiest continental breakfast of any hotel that we have ever been to — definitely should not be missed.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were so impressed with this hotel. Amazing value and incredible service. The rooms were great, the continental breakfast surpassed our expectations. Beautiful view of the sea for sunrises and watching the moon come up. The staff at the front desk is amazing! So kind, friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Have stayed here many times and have very much liked it. Service is good. Centrally located to everywhere you need to go and you have whales in the water in front of you.

Super nice place to stay. We were with a larger group and the suits were large enough for everyone. Super good spot to stay while exploring the island. Watched the sunrise from the balcony and it was beautiful.

The Hotel is very good.

We stayed one night with our 2 young kids, spent the afternoon on the beach across the street, swam in the pool, ordered take out from Freddy's Pub next door (great food, the kids loved their chicken strips and fries), then had a great sleep in the clean, comfortable beds, (we would have played mini golf too, but the kids were wiped out). When we woke up, we headed down for the continental breakfast. Excellent food, good selection. We will definitely stay again next time we're in town.

Excellent stay here. Price was amazing. Breakfast more than we had expected including eggs cooked as requested, waffles made for you, bacon — couldn't ask for more. Beds appeared new and very comfortable. Bathroom updated and clean. Staff very courteous and helpful. Decor needs some updating but overall and wonderful stay at a very good price.

This hotel offers an unhindered view of the ocean and the bottom half of quadra Island. You can sit on your balcony and watch the busy sea traffic including cruise ships in the late spring. The rooms lack A/C but this is often an ocean breeze that can keep you cool. As well the hotel room came with two fans. Pool is deep up to 2m or 6.6ft. Has spa hot tub and a dry sauna as well a small fitness center. There is a pub and restaurant next door that is independent.

Nice hotel situated right across from the beach. Small balcony to sit on with a view of the ocean. The room was quite small but adequate and the beds were super comfortable. Includes a continental breakfast which madeit easy to get an early start to the rest of our trip. Grounds were very tidy and clean although it would have been pretty if the window boxes at each room had actually been planted with flowers. Very helpful staff at the front desk. Would definitely stay there again.

Staff was so nice here. We got a loft room and we really liked the layout. Rooms are not modern by any means but they are very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Austrian themed chalet not for anyone who's looking for the modern décor. Right next to the sea wall path, after early breakfast, convenient to go for a stroll. Also right on the 50° latitude.

The rooms are clean and service is good and there is a beautiful view.

Very reasonable rates. The rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast has been improving.

Worst best western I stayed in. No ac, smelly room, huge spider in bathroom. Was on the ground floor and the room as small and poorly laid out.

Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice, clean rooms, had the two queen option on second floor, decent balcony options. Traveled with my 4-year old son on business and he loved the pool. Really decent breakfast, go early to avoid the crush. If weather holds, we'll try mini-golf my next visit. Will go back, only complaint is slow email from my room. Office center in lobby was decent though for connection, but not private enough for business so I feel the hotel should upgrade its service. Very good experience overall.

The hotel is clean an nice enough but there is no air conditioning in our room. When I booked our hotel with Expedia I was specific about wanting A/C. When we arrived I was surprised we didn't have A/C and when I requested a new room I was disappointed that no A/C rooms were available. In the future I will skip Expedia and work with the hotel to insure I get what I request.

We booked on expedia for 8 nights. Got there and were upgraded to a kitchenette cause of our length of stay. We were happy at that time we thought. Then found out why. The cleaning. Toilet paper we had to go to registration to get more they did not replace. Plastic cups we had to go to registration and ask for them to give to us each day. The towels had rust stains and grease spots on them. I even left a towel with the rust stain towel over the back of the toilet tank and the next day I went to get a towel under the sink and the same towel was there. Rug floor was not vacuumed as the same lint was there day after day. In the corner of bed red rubber band was there the whole time. The fixtures (lamps, phone) did not look like dusted in 6 months. Hair in the ice cube container. Hair in the tub. This was the 2nd time we stayed. First time we liked it. This time? We would not stay there again.

It's an alright place. I would recommend an upper room. There were kids outside playing mini golf way too late and then early in the morning. The pool was nice but freezing cold in the change room and also had a dirty floor! the continental breakfast sounded good but there were so many people there that when we got there most of the hot food was gone and the pans were very small.

This is a fairly nicely updated hotel with a free breakfast and an indoor pool. Towels for the pool are an extra cost for $2.50 each. Rooms were clean and well supplied. Paint was newer. Mattresses in our room were slightly cupped towards the center and the springs could be felt, which did not make for a good night sleep. When I brought this to the attention of the clerk, she brushed it off saying that I was the first one to ever complain about this and that all the mattresses are new. Over all, it was OK, but I think I will have to find a different hotel to stay in next time I go to Campbell River.

Being a house keeper it's not the cleanest. (don't look behind the night stand or under the beds). Fine for one night passing through on a budget if u have too.

We were pleasantly surprised that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a loft suite. What we were not told was that the suite was NOT air conditioned. Having settled in, we closed the window, and reset the thermostat to cool things down. We went out for a bit and returned to a room that was warmer than when we left. A call to the desk informed us the room was NOT air conditioned. Something that I think should have been disclosed when we were told of the 'upgrade'. Having already settled in, we choose to keep the suite. Fortunately, the nights cooled things off enough so that with the fans that were in the room, we were comfortable. While the outcome wasn't bad. I would have appreciated being informed of the lack of air conditioning when I checked in.

What hotel in their right mind would have garbage picked up at 6:30am every Tuesday and Friday? It's even against the local bylaws. It is truly unbelievable.
