My husband and I were thrilled to find this calming oasis at which to spend a night away for our anniversary. As a young family, time is precious and children are unpredictable, so we didn't want to travel far from home, but we did want to find a space that took us out of our daily lives for a refreshing pause. After a fifteen minute drive from our home, we arrived at Maple Bay Manor and truly felt transported. Our busy lives floated away for a day and we simply soaked in the elegant quiet. The hosts, Lynn and Allen, greeted us with a calm and thoughtfulness that made us feel quite at home. They even picked up a lovely bouquet of flowers for my husband to surprise me with in our suite and carried up our luggage for us. They are attentive to the subtle details that create an atmosphere of comfort and charm, reflecting the natural solace and artistic inspiration of Vancouver Island. We were taken on a little tour around the downstairs, cozily heated and decorated with sophisticated grace. The big windows allowed our eyes to scan down toward the lake across their gardens and fields, which we enjoyed wandering in the morning. We even spied their resident eagle's nest! Our visit was in January, but I can't imagine what it will be like when all their gorgeous rhododendrons are in bloom and the massive maples are bursting with green.

Top notch wedding/occasion venue and B&B. Lynn is a warm and accommodating hostess who has created an amazingly beautiful space in an equally beautiful setting. The manor is the perfect blend of modern luxury and contemporary rustic charm!

The property is amazing! Guestrooms are luxurious and pride of ownership is apparent. I highly recommend!

This is a really elegant B&B. Perfect for weddings, high end social events and more. Lynn has paid attention to every detail when she was renovating and restoring this lovely period home. Well worth treating yourself to a stay there.

I just toured the soon-to-be-opened Maple Bay Manor. Wow! This is an elegant, picturesque, truly unique accommodation for discriminating travelers or locals looking for a romantic getaway. Immaculate, newly restored 1904 home, abounding with charm and spacious comfort. Overlooking Quamichan lake, encompassing gardens, rolling meadows and forests and stream, this is a spectacular gem of a retreat in the Cowichan Valley!
