The location is absolutely the best to stay so you can get around Montreal, bus & transit very close by, restaurants, cafes, shops, Metro Store and Pharmacy. Easy to access from Airport and tourist attractions. All the staff is absolutely amazing, helpful, bilingual and very pleasant & friendly. I stayed in the King Deluxe Studio and was worth it. Nicely renovated, very large room with full kitchen. Second floor view of the street and a perfect view of the beautiful St. Joseph's Orthory on the hill where I went each day and evening during my stay. I would definitely go back to stay anytime at this Hotel when I visit Montreal. Stayed January 18 to 20, 2019.

This was my first visit to Canada. A friend recommended the Hotel Terrasse Royal. I'm so happy I listened to them. I was very happy with my room. It was a very large, comfortable room, with all the little comforts of home. I will definitely stay there again if I go back.

Terrasse Royale is a beautiful hotel with wonderful caring staff. Lovely big clean rooms. It is in an ideal location where there are many great bistros a Metro across the street which can have you downtown/old Montreal in 15-20 minutes. Have already recommended it to many friends. Highly recommend this hotel!

Awesome spacious large rooms with a kitchenette in case you want to make your own food. Very good value and close to lots of food places and metro. Also has a great boulangerie for baked goods next door. Would definitely stay here again.

We really liked Hotel Terrasse Royale. The location is pretty good, close enough to downtown, lots of food options nearby, quiet. The staff were very friendly. The room we had was very spacious and had a kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and recently renovated. This hotel was a great value particularly given its location.

Great hotel in a great neighborhood. Close to many good bakeries and restaurants. The room we stayed in was amazing. It was a big space with a kitchenette and walk in closet. Staff were excellent as well. We will book again when we return to Montreal.

Excellent hôtel, très bien situé, à proximité des boutiques de Côte-des-neiges et de l'oratoire Saint-Joseph. Le service est très amical, les chambres sont modernes, propres, récemment rénovées, avec cuisinette. Il y a un parking sous-terrain et un parking extérieur à faible coût.

Small hotel in great location, close to Metro, bars and restaurants. Clean, well equipped apartments. Rue Cote des Neiges a bit noisy.

Our stay here was nice, the view of the St. Joseph Oratory was beautiful. The room had a kitchenette, which is convenient when you a 2 year old, you can clean your dishes especially when you brought some food and containers or if you want to cook. The bedroom is separated from the living area which makes the room a bit small but adds privacy. The washroom is nice and clean. Overall our experience as a family is worth it for the 2 nights we stayed. Although, it might be hard to get parking in their underground if you stay during a holiday weekend, we were lucky there was parking in front of the hotel on the side of the road or they will tell you to park by the church — which is a 5 min walk.

I got a couple of hours of sleep… maybe? Poorly constructed building means you get to hear all the activity above you. I do not recommend this place at all unless you can sleep through lost of noise. A bit dated, and quaint otherwise. I probably would have given 4 stars if I got any sleep, but given it is a hotel I think their first priority should be making sure you can fall asleep!

I love the apartment style suite of the hotel. Fully equipped and well placed.

Suites are very clean. Bedroom with a big closet, living room and tiny kitchen. Very functional. Rooms are small but that was not an issue for us. Very close to groceries and the Metro line.

Okay for a place to stay close to shops and local amenities. Room is more like an apartment and includes a kitchen area. Furniture and decor a little dated and need of refreshing.

1 — After 5 am, a lot of noise can be heard from street due to the loading foods to groceries located beside the hotel. 2 — It's an independent hotel and they are not flexible to help you in a case you need to change /cancel your reservation if do not meet the deadline. The Staff are friendly thought. 3 — The room was cold I do not recommend to stay in this place.

Went with my daughters since it was close to Ste-Justine and the Ronald McDonald House was full. Service was just "fine" but both my daughters and I got lice after sleeping there 1 night! Disgusting! Don't go!

Good location and nice suite. Very ordinary and small bathroom. Very close to Ste-Justine. Very clean! Good value for money Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge sink and all utensils, glasses, plates for longer stay.

Excellent Small Hotel, very well located, near the metro and overlooking the splendid St. Joseph's Oratory. The hotel is adjacent to a small bistro and their sandwiches and pancakes are delicious. The service is friendly, the rooms recently renovated and very clean. There is an inside garage available to park your car, but there is an extra charge to enjoy it. I recommend B strongly this hotel.

Fantastically cozy place, incredible warmth of the staff, you are sincerely welcome, rooms, breakfasts, service at a high level and constantly improving. That place, which, as they say, has a real master, prosperity to you!

Very clean, stylish, and spacious rooms, at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff. Make sure to get their complimentary discount card for the local restaurants, especially Ermitage!

The location is on a busy street but not very attractive. The hotel rooms have no thermostats which is miserable as you have to regulate the heat based on outside temperature through open windows. The carpeting is old but seems clean. Staff are friendly from reception to cleaning.

What a wonderful stay at Hotel Terrasse Royal in Montreal! This is my best experience among so many hotels/motels I stayed before in the States and Canada, indeed! 1st: the location is great, 5 min of walking from the subway station, and 20 min of subway ride to the heart of Montreal! The hotel's neighborhood is so friendly, there are plenty of boutiques, restaurants and fruit markets, places to eat, drink and have fun! 2nd: the rooms are so clean and fresh, brand new king/queen size bed, fully equipped baths and kitchens, you are able to cook in here :-) 3rd: the staff is so kind and helpful in here, you feel like you are home with smiling people around you 4th: there is a cafeteria Leonidas in where you can try some delicious Belgium chocolate, no doubts, the best I've ever tried in my life — the chef Ljuba is both great professional and very charming young Lady and the last, bot not the least: the manager of the hotel Sandra is very polite and welcomed person and always here to meet your requests and create the best comfort possible! Forgot to mention free fitness room and breathtaking laundry with fashioned machines and free detergent :)! There is clean and cozy underground parking garage. Overall resume is :fully enjoyable paradise of extremely pleasurable experience! I'd strongly recommend this hotel to all who stays here for leisure or arrives here on business trip or study. Lots of appreciation for fantastic time spent here!

Very nice hotel with a nice view of saint Joseph church, if you are going to visit old montreal about a 30 minute cab drive down there, with lots of 24 hour stores around the hotel. Nice place, but absolutely no smoking at the hotel or on the patio outside the rooms.

Friendly staff, good prices, great location. Rooms are a bit dated but offer kitchenettes and comfy beds. Parking is $22/d underground. Would stay here again. Great cafe downstairs.

After my stay in 2014 I just say that it is a very good hotel, impeccable service and decent rate.

It was a good balance between luxury and normal with that price.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are big, very clean and is a quiet place. A metro station is two not as well as a variety of restaurants and cafes. And for the most offenders, there is still a room available…! This is my base in Montreal.

The hotel is very clean and welcoming staff, the reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because of the cancellation policy. You must cancel 48 hours in advance for not having fees otherwise we charge you the first night, it's expensive if you have booked for one night only.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Its the best compared to the hotel in downtown. Reasonable price and very clean place to stay.

I highly recommend this hotel! My six night stay at the end of July 2010 was wonderful. The air-conditioning, which I questioned upon check-in, worked so well that I needed a blanket to sleep. The staff was gracious, kind and patient and the patio restaurant behind the hotel provided many wonderful dining experiences. The central location with shops, markets and restaurants in the same block and a metro stop in the next block, provided all the amenities one could desire. I hope to have a return stay in the very near future.

We have the chance to have yet another long stay in this lovely hotel. The stay was flawless and very pleasant, as it was in the past. We regret not having brought with us our laptop, as now they have Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel, which is located close to The Universite de Montreal.

Hi, The hotel needs a lot of renovations. The AC unit was not working in the room and it was hard to find any instructions. The room attendant was not that enthusiastic about servicing new guests. There would be a much better service and settings at similar rate.
