Review of Le Dauphin Montréal Centre-Ville 3*

We stayed at Hotel Du Dauphin this past weekend for just one night. Before booking I had done lots of research on the location of the hotel, the hotel itself as well as ready MANY reviews. We were lucky enough to be able to check in early as we had arrived to the hotel earlier than expected. We were greeted amazingly by the front staff at arrival which was very nice. The gentleman was super helpful and was able to give us directions and information for indoor parking located down the road. We were able to get a reduced rate for parking when we payed through the hotel. A definit bonus as the hotel does not have parking on site. We were definitely let down once we got to our room though for a few reasons. One was the size of the room itself. Photos are definitely deceiving to make the rooms look much larger than what they are. Almost no room to walk around without stubbing your toes on something (ouch) another was the pictures provided show a bathtub. Our room had a shower only which is not very helpful when you are traveling with a young child. I made a call to the front desk immediately to see if we could switch rooms to one that had a tub even if it meant we had to wait to check in and the lady that answered my call was not helpful what so ever and just basically said "no sorry" and that was the end of that. I explained our situation and she was not accommodating to it what so ever. The TV in our room was not working properly at all. For the contemporary breakfast that was provided, it was ok. Very crowded when we got down there. You're to make your own cereal, toast, bagels, coffee whichever you want so made it hard to maneuver around the crowd. It was just basically your at home breakfast options. But overall I don't have much complaints in terms of the breakfast. Wouldn't go out of my way to recommend the hotel. It was nice that we were a 15 minute walk to old montreal which is what we were looking for. Will definitely be trying out a new hotel in the future. Not one of my high recommended hotels but also not the worst.
