Review of Hotel des Arts 2*

WORST HOTEL EVER! Got there late at night and was creeped out by the location (looked like something out of a horror movie) checked into our room which was alright considering it's a 2 star hotel. Got ready and went out, came back later that night with some friends and had a little party of 8 people in the room. Next thing we know we get a phone call from the front desk saying we have 5 minutes to leave the room as the police are on their way. Being in complete shock we packed everything as fast as possible and as we were leaving our floor the police were coming out of the elevator, we told them we were on our way out and they said okay we went to the lobby where the manager said we were being too loud and that guests were complaining so instead of giving us a warning he decided to kick us out immediately. Here's the best part after asking for our refund considering we didn't even get to sleep in the hotel yet he said and I quote "Come back in the morning and you'll get it" after roaming the streets for a new hotel we finally get one (Days Inn, WAY BETTER AND ONLY COST A BIT MORE). We sleep for a few hours then go back for our refund only to be told that we're not getting it back after paying for 3 nights 4 days. The person at the front desk called the manager telling him about his deal with us about the refund where the manager responded "I never said that". Didn't end up getting a refund, got treated poorly and ruined my first experience at Montreal. These people will scam you for your money so I advise you look for another hotel you won't regret it, I promise.
