Disappointed for what we got for what we paid — we thought it was a hotel room but it was a small shed like cottage which we thought was because we had a dog, it smelled like mildew, the AC was a portable one that emptied into a blue recycling bin in which we had to empty and if we were not on top of it it flooded, (we were not advised of this but quickly figured it out) no fan in the bathroom, we thought we were getting a queen sized bed but it was a double, the kitchen sink was 2 inches deep and the continental breakfast didnt start until 8 am (we are early risers but thankfully a Tim Hortons was down the street). We through the circuit twice before realizing too many things were plugged in (none of it our stuff). For 177 $ per night it was seriously overpriced. We will not come back.

The Silverwood is starting to show her age. She is a bit dated, although conveniently located in Cavendish. Our room had a kitchenette so we were able to cook if we desired. There was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee or supplies to actually make coffee. The bed was quite comfortable but was a wee bit too soft for me. The overall atmosphere was conducive to families and socializing, with the bbqs in the courtyard. Parking is limited to one car per room so the lane to drive around to exit was quite cramped with extra vehicles parked on the sides. A basic good value for the money.

Everything at the Silverwood Motel was wonderful right from the start. We received a warm reception and the two ladies working the front desk were very helpful to answer all of my questions about the best spots to hit in the area. I highly recommend going to New Glasgow lobster dinners. It was the best dinner I've had in a very long time. The rooms were a little dated but very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Continental breakfast was just as good as any of the chain hotels. Parking is nice and convenient right side outside your room. Would go back anytime.

This was a very nice Motel, suited our needs for our short stay in PEI. Great restaurants all over the place, shops and a few parks with rides for kids near by. Definitely check out the New Glasgow Lobster Supper 10 mins down the road. Best dinner I've had for years!

When we arrived there was no one at the front desk, so we called the number it said to call on the window. We we're told our room was unlocked and to just go in and they would bring us the key… We waited half an hour and no one showed up. We called back and it was as if we had never spoken to them, told us they would bring the key in 10 mins. 20 mins later we still had no key! So we went off and enjoyed a dinner with a still fully packed car. Next day there was no one at the front desk but we say our key so we just took it because if we didn't I'm pretty sure we never would have gotten the key. The hotel is old but very clean and cute. Pool is great and BBQs are perfect. Don't know if I'd go back though just ebcuase the service was non existent.

We stayed at the end of the season and the price was so reasonable. The hosts were wonderful, the breakfast was a gift we appreciated and the room with kitchenette was more than adequate. And location was 5 star. Our favorite beaches on the Island are right there. The best seafood a 5 minute drive. A cozy place.

Great motel, clean and very friendly staff and a great continental breakfast, when I say, etc. Thank you wer had a great stay. A continental I don't mean just muffins and coffee they had toast, cereal, muffins, bagels, juice toast, yogurt, fruit.

Wonderful motel, very family friendly with a pool and swing set. Very clean. Rooms are quite large with separate bedroom and living room/kitchen area. Would stay again and recommend to anyone traveling in the cavendish area.

Other than the bed being uncomfortable it was great! They had an outdoor pool free breakfast and Wi-Fi and a grocery store across the road so if yu are visiting PEI I recommend staying there.

We are very pleased with our vacation, friendly people who went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable. Thank you for everything.

A great motel, with friendly staff, clean rooms, well maintained property, and good amenities, including green space, BBQs with propane for guests to use, a newer and well maintained pool, large and clean breakfast area (stairs, not accessible) with bread and cold/hot cereal options and reasonably fast, reliable Wi-Fi. If your expectations are adjusted for motel accommodations and service, Silverwood Motel is the best we've stayed at. If we visit PEI again, is readily stay here again.

We had a FANTASTIC stay at the Silverwood Motel! :) Very kind-hearted owners, very clean room, great location, loved having access to a BBQ, very accommodating and the room including the kitchenette is perfect for longer stays! We loved every minute of it and would definitely return! Highly recommended to anyone visiting Cavendish! :) Thank you for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable!

This was our 3rd year in a row for staying at the Silvewood Motel. We think it's the best. Guest service is 100%, rooms are so cozy, central to everything, Sandspit, Shining waters. A really nice Restaurant Chez Yvonnes next door & a Grocery Store across the street. What more could one ask for. + A FREE breakfast! Katherine is so willing to please. She makes it a pleasant place to stay. Prices are the best, Next time in Cavendish PEi try this Motel out. You will love it We will be back :-)

We really enjoyed our time here at Silverwood Motel. Staff was very friendly. We had a two room suite, 3 double beds one single bed, little kitchenette, full bathroom. 2 televisions, back deck with bbq and picnic table. Very nice pool. We enjoyed our stay very much, will definitely be back.

Silverwood motel was one of the best motels I've ever stayed at traveling across the US and Canada Silverwood was very comfortable clean and the staff was great management was very friendly I had my own little kitchenette and there's free breakfast every morning with fresh brewed coffee there's an outdoor pool the grounds are beautiful to walk around with your pet, the outside barbecues are for your full use at any time I'd like to think Silverwood for one of my best enjoyable stay as ever.

Stayed here with my dog from June 9 through the 13th it was the best friendliest clean quiet comfortable motel I've ever stayed in and pet friendly If you need a private beach where your dog is allowed Cape Tryon near the light house check your friendly PEI map and in Rustico south follow st Augustine church make a left a right keep going down the road there's another private local pet friendly beach you will find it the local Cavendish PEI map with help This motel was one of the best I've ever stayed at and I've traveled all over Canada and the US Thank you to the staff and the management for making my stay one of the best My first time in PEI was fantastic.

Great location, very affordable and very welcoming. Room was very clean. And breakfast was really simple and nice! Would definitely go back!

New management is fantastic. We planned to stay for 1 night, but stayed for 6 just because the staff were so friendly. Room was fully renovated, brand new everything. Great price. Would definitely stay again.
