Absolutely disgusting that you turned away a legitimate service dog and her owner whom the dog WORKS FOR on Christmas Eve, And what’s even more disgusting is that the best western fails to train their employees properly on The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. You wouldn’t turn away somebody who had a heart monitor or a pacemaker, you wouldn’t turn away somebody that had crutches or a cane yet you find it acceptable to turn away somebody who has a legitimate piece of medical equipment. I honestly hope there’s a human rights Tribunal complaint against you.

They discriminate against legitimate, LEGAL Service Animals and their handlers… and instead, promote certification which does NOT exist outside of organization dogs. Owner training is legal, and does NOT require certification. What you did was filthy. Making a disabled woman and her, very legit, legal by Ontario Law Service Dog sleep in a car… is repulsive and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I would highly suggest researching and reading Ontario Law, as what you did was highly illegal… and could very well get you sued for discrimination.

What you guys did to the lady with a service dog is disgusting! It is ILLEGAL to deny someone entry with a service dog. The documentation you requested doesn’t exist and is not an Ontario requirement. I suggest you update you employees on service dog laws and rights! Maybe open up the AODA and human rights… can’t wait to see you guys get slapped with a huge fine! This lady had to sleep in her car on Christmas Eve!

The hotel was very modern very clean and a very professional staff. It was a nice continental breakfast in the morning with waffles and other small items. Pool was also very nice and had an adult swim hour. We will be back again.

Great Place to stay when in Woodstock. Room is quiet, comfortable and clean. Easy to get to and only a minute drive (or ten minute walk) to a few different restaurant choices. Staff is always friendly and check in has never been a hassle. Will be back.

Very nice experience. The breakfast was a highlight of the trip. I eat gluten free and found lots of options for me. I really appreciate this extra care.

Had a "do not disturb" up, so that we wouldn't be bothered by housekeeping and they would know not to refresh the room. On day two, they knocked and tried to enter our room, and knocked until we answered the door. All to ask about towels. Shouldn't even bothered with the sign. Everything else was fantastic, the room was nice, the complimentary breakfast was amazing, the window bench in the room was a nice touch. I would come back again, hopefully with better results from housekeeping.

The staff at this hotel seriously lack customer service skills. They were rude, and inappropriate when dealing with their guests. I would not recommend booking a room there, particularly if you are a group.

The main reason I picked this hotel was the Tesla destination charger and it was great. The charger was there, and worked, but we got a nice, clean hotel with a pool and free breakfast. The kids loved the pool. It's not luxurious, but it was a nice place how an overnight on our road trip on the Tesla.

Hotel is newly renovated and clean. Enjoyed our stay, but central booking forwarded our reservation incorrectly and we did not get our room of choice. However, the staff was kind enough to assign us a complimentary room, due to the booking error. We were situated at the far end of the hallway and the Wi-Fi was very poor and mostly inaccessible. The comfort that we enjoyed in our room made up for the Wi-Fi and the central booking error, as we were in Woodstock for a funeral and just needed a spot for family members to converge and unwind.

The staff at this location are amazing! The front desk clerk Taz was very friendly. She made it a point of making friendly conversation each time I saw her. She would always wish me a good day at work (I was travelling for work) and helped me locate some good local food options. The overnight staff were great as well always had fresh coffee ready in the lobby even when I finished work at 11pm. This was one of best staff experiences at a hotel by far.

First time staying at this location. Located right off the highway, close to lots of restaurants and amenities. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay at this location in future travel to south western Ontario.

They have great service, good rates, clean, friendly and try to keep everything calm when it's busy. Hot breakfast is good (not elaborate) but the coffee cream tastes weird.

When we got there there was food in the fridge and and someone’s hair all in the bathtub. Let staff know and they switched our room for us. It was disgusting, but at least we were able to get a clean room.

The rooms are very clean and very nice and comfortable except it would have been nice if they gave us a heads up that the pool was closed that is the reason why we stayed at this Motel we brought our 8-year old daughter and she was some disappointed that the pool was not open especially during March break you figure they would have it open! So we were very disappointed other than that the rooms are very nice and clean!

Fantastic staff, clean, enjoyable time that we had. The stay was so fantastic I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff was so amazing.

Everything is great so far except the pool chemical levels. Literally everyone is coughing and has burning eyes. Hopefully management can address this soon! Update: Sounds like a city problem. Management was great about explaining the problem. Nothing they can do because city shuts them down if they lower chemical content in pools. Gotta love city inspectors!

Nice place. Very noisy on the main floor, so stay on the second or third if you're there. Too busy in the morning for breakfast — it's too small in their dining room so you don't have a chance to get any food or anywhere to sit. Keep that in mind and it's not a bad place.

The stay was enjoyable. It was so quiet when I saw the number of people at breakfast I wondered if they were guests or off the street. Pillows were comfortable, room was clean. I would definitely stay there again if travelling to that area.

Not only were the rooms in great shape and comfortable, my kids loved the window bed in the room. The internet was high speed compared to other hotels I've been at. There was a nice pool, the hotel was very clean and well decorated. The breakfast had a large selection, including hot foods like eggs, sausage, waffles, and bacon. However, the workers were definitely the best part of being stuck at the hotel. They were kind to my kids and I, and made sure we were ok during our stay.

Beautiful hotel. I stay at A LOT of hotels because work keeps me away from home. This one is by far the best. It’s clean, the carpets and decour is nice and colourful, room is cozy, fridge, microwave, big TV and a comfy bed. The hotel smelled of cookies when I came. It has a nice gym with a variety of equipment and weights. The pool is very nice but no hot tub. Staff is friendly, prices are more than reasonable (I booked online though). It’s a two minute drive to everything. Breakfast is okay. I enjoyed the coffee machines more. Would recommend! 10/10

Horrible experience with this hotel. Incompetent staff, constant over-booking, and a management team that could care less. We booked a room online through the Best Western website, confirmed the booking with a credit card, drove all the way to woodstock, and was given a different room instead, which was a downgrade from what we originally booked. Management blamed the website and didn't take any responsibility. Even though we received an email confirmation of the exact room we had booked, they had already given it away to another customer. It sickens me that when a bad review is posted, the manager from that hotel uses the same canned reply which is probably copied and pasted from a notepad. They truly don't care about customer satisfaction or making it right. To management about not exceeding our expectations — why don't you just meet our expectations to begin with.

What a sensible place to have a hockey team stay. Their rules were based around an acknowledgment of the rabble of tournament families while still protecting their property. Having a beverage at the pool? Fine. But no glass or garbage! Parents hung out in the hallways until 10 pm, then were politely invited down to the lobby with tons of seating and tv's. Everyone found the staff and their ideas reasonable and rooted in common sense. A clean, friendly business run by smart professionals.

Hotel was very nice and clean, staff very pleasant and breakfast was good, unfortunately we showed up the same time as a very large group of kids and parents. The kids were running the halls and staircases for most of the night… who knows what the parents were doing. This spoiled what would have been a wonderful stay.

One of the better hotels I've stayed at. Everything was clean throughout, the fitness room was well stocked, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. We had no problems at all with our stay from start to finish.

Two weeks ago, I booked a "whirlpool" room for the nights of October 11 and 12 respectively at the Best Western in Woodstock for my anniversary and had a very frustrating experience.   Four days prior to my arrival I called the hotel to change the details of my stay from two nights to one as extenuating circumstances forced me to change my stay. I made sure to double check with the employee on the phone that the new date was correct.  She assured me that we had now just booked the same room for the night of October 12. Upon arrival I was informed that I had been charged a "no show" fee because they thought I was staying the night of the eleventh rather than tonight (the twelfth). Because of the hotel's mistake, the room I had booked was no longer available. She refunded the "no show" fee and said that she would give me a deal of a room with 2 queens for the same price (of $95 a night) instead, which is what I paid for the proper room originally. I declined the offer and just asked for a refund instead. I understand that there was not much that she could do at that point in time, seeing as the room had been given away to some one else, but I would have appreciated a notification of this KNOWN error before I drove myself and my significant other to Woodstock for no reason. As this was an error made by Best Western, ruining my planned anniversary, as well as causing my significant other to take now unnecessary vacation time from work.

Pleasantly surprised. Room was larger than expected and really well turned out. They allowed us to check in over the phone as we were running late.

So far I'm happy with my stay. Reception was very friendly. The place is clean, rooms are clean. Free breakfast was alright. Wifi is also good. You don't have to keep reconnecting. I'd stay here again.

The rooms were clean and looked very new. The mini fridge in the room however was very loud. We received free continental breakfast with decent selection, but I wish they provided reusable plates to be more environmentally friendly. Overall decent stay.

Our room was very comfortable. Hotel staff were very helpful. Everything seemed in good condition. The Continental breakfast was better than most I have had. We would stay there again!

The hotel was immaculate, and comfortable but what really made this a great experience was the staff. Everyone at this location was amazing. My son and I will certainly be returning again!

I travel for my job and stay in a lot of hotels around the U. S. And in Canada and I am here to say that this is one of the best I have stayed in. The staff was very helpful and friendly The rooms were clean and spacious and the bed was AMAZING!

I really liked this place. Very clean. Friendly staff. The shower/bath was sparkling clean. The pool was clean. The price was low. I'd stay here every time. An hour and five minutes from the falls. Not much to do around here, but we were here to rest before going back home to Michigan.

Goods not in the hotel but in the diner food. Hotel looks really fine. Food in the restaurant was good. Only the operation was not the blast…

Very nice hotel. Room was above average for this class of hotel. Staff were super nice and friendly. They had fresh baked cookies ever night in the lobby.

Best service. Checked in late… pouring rain. Most food places closed. Service desk provided some snacks. Made sure we are comfortable in the room… excellent service. Rooms are OK but bedding are like Marriott. Glad did not paid extra on Marriott. Morning breakfast was good. Fast check out. Nice staff. First time best experience in Canada for an American tourist.

This motel was a great find. It was almost new which made it very clean and modern. Also, the price was great. Probably the best we paid during our ten days in Canada. Good cable, internet worked great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the thin side (very continental), breads and ceral with some fruit. My only real compliant was that we had a double queen room which had only a desk chair and window seat/bench to sit on except for the bed. I would stay here again in an instant if I was travelling thru Ontario.

I'm currently staying at the Microtel. The hotel still isn't complete therefore when I called an made my reservation I reserved a jacuzzi suite which still isn't available. The workout room isn't finished nor is the pool. The staff is extremely friendly which is a plus. I just wish that when I actually called an made my reservation that I would have been told that the Hotel was still under construction. I would recommend if you plan on staying anything this summer that you call to ensure that what you want is available.
