Location is fair. However prices are a little too expensive for what you get in terms of the room, but the staff are friendly.

Made an appointment by phone had a hard time explaining that I needed one room for 2 night and another room for 1 night managed to figure it out, check in was pretty easy and somewhat painless the rooms were relatively clean some hair in the washroom in hard to reach places but overall clean. The beds were firm but comfortable and the pillows were excellent moldable and soft. The staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Omg what is it with odors in this place. Is it cleaner or bed bug spray… upon arrival I went thru the staircase to the second floor… and I about gagged. The first room I got. The deadbolt would not lock. I got another room. Rooms were hard to come by… due to nearby events… otherwise I would have left. I will not stay here again. The odor subsided later in the day. Which makes me think cleaner. I refused to shower there… just creeped out w the whole property.

Very clean but beds very hard — bad night's sleep. Also surprised there was no continental breakfast. That was a first.

This hotel was horrible. Horrible customer service. Horrible cleaning. Their was dust on every counter in the morning and when I checked out they were having problems finding my name. Used condoms under the bed, dirty bed sheets, dirty towels just overall horrible experience.

That was very quite, nice and great place for staying.

Had a quiet room in the back of the hotel. Comfy bed, pillows we're a bit too soft and the place was pretty clean. Didn't have a USB plug, so remember your phone charger plug thing so you can plug it in.

Very helping staff, they let me to extend the time of check out. After checkout they were kind enough to let me keep my luggage for few hours in the reception. Rooms are comfortable and are very clean. I booked a room in the hotel on one of the coldest night in Watetloo and heating system of hotel helped me to find the needed warmth :). Situated close to University Avenue, so one can find various eateries/restaurants at University avenue. There is Tim hortons, Dominos and several other restaurants. If one move further on University avenue towards king street even more options for eating are available. If one moves on the opposite side of University Avenue from the hotel after walking down few hundred mts one can find Walmart at bridgeport plaza (also accesible by bus number 8, Weber@Lincoln).

Horrible experience. Front desk staff rude and not pleasant to deal with. We arrived for our 3 pm check in… Our room wasn't ready. They suggested we go next door have a beer at our own expense and they would come and get us in 15 to 20 minutes tops. No one came to get us. After an hour and 15 minutes we went back to the front desk. No apologies were made. They gave us our room keys. We went to the room and it was a mess. It had not been touched since the previous visitor's. Went back to front desk. No apologies or offers of restitution were made just "we'll get to it as soon as we can". I asked for and received a refund and we went to another hotel. Poor form. I'll never return.

This is a fabulous spot I had to pick my daughter up from university (we live 9 hrs north) I’ve stayed in some high end hotels before but they were overrated so I wanted to try something else I got a great deal on the room and I’m so happy I did the location is perfect a great restaurant right there at the hotel as well. It is so clean the stairs, rooms, lobby all spotless and the staff is so awesome I’ll definitely be staying there every time I goto Waterloo :)

Decent place to stay. Really easy to book, check in and check out. Had an issue with the side doors not being unlocked with our cards but that was unusual and resolved. Only thing I disliked was that the heater/AC doesn't have an actual temperature display, just a hot/cold dial so it was tough getting it set right. Rooms were clean, fresh towels, clean bed. Came with fridge, microwave, Wi-Fi, coffee maker, tv.

Service was impeccable! Clarissa (close to that, I can't remember) was kind, helpful, understanding and very warm. She dealt with out rooms lack of remote and cleanliness in a very professional way. Location of hotel is right near Laurier university. Lots of restaurants and bars. Room was decent.

I stayed with my girlfriend while attending a wedding, the staff were nice and we had a great time.

Great room, clean and plenty of space. Coffee is good, but I would have preferred to have milk pods as opposed to packets of creamer. The concierge is friendly and there is a restaurant on site for meals. Overall, a pleasant stay. Pet friendly which is a great plus, as we travelled with our dog.

Great big clean rooms. Arrived really late at night but the concierge was very nice. Room was upstairs. The always available coffee is a nice addition. Hotel is located on a main street and as a result a lot of places are at a walking distance from the hotel. Overall, good cheap place to stay for a few nights.

It was an okay experience. Some of the entrances didn't function and the walls were thin. But, the room was clean and the rate was affordable.

Room correct but cleaning every day very poorly done.

The room was OK. Too much noise all night from 12am till 4am. The worse comfort inn I ever spent a night at. I will definitely not going back again.

Great stay. Our floor did smell like smoke though. Clean rooms.

It is a great location located close to a lot of amenities the rooms are really clean beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly and nice.

I went to visit a family member and the comfort inn was clean and the customer service was great.

This hotel was clean, room was very large for a king room. Having restaurant attached to lobby was nice. Will come back again.

The hotel was very accommodating and friendly. The room was up-to-date and clean. I wasn't crazy about the air conditioner, it was on or off.

Staff is friendly. Front desk lady was lovely. Boyfriend was here for a couple weeks over a few months time for work so I'd stay over a couple nights to visit. Breakfast is really, really great. However, always had some sketchy neighbors who always had "new bikes" in and around their rooms… Each night I had stayed on ground level, always noticed a shady gentleman trying to pull open doors leading to outside. One had pulled the door open one morning after my boyfriend left for work while I was lying in bed on my phone! Never felt all that safe while I was there. Unfortunately, the shady neighbors really clouded my experience here.

Great location close to everything, nice rooms and free coffee! The Angels restaurant is good.

Very decent hotel. Clean and comfy. Attached restaurant is good.

It was dirty, smelly and they tried to mask the odors with the perfumed air fresheners. Although it was supposed to be a non-smoking place indoors, there were cigarette burns in our carpet. Guests were smoking indoors as well as the receptionist. Pets are allowed and you could smell them. We were told that all the rooms had been rented out and we were getting the last one. When my husband and I arrive at 8 pm, there were only a few vehicles in the parking lot and you could see cats in neighboring windows. There was an old abandoned hotel next door. It was obvious to me that this was cheap accommodations for long-term local residents. I told the receptionist that I was cancelling our reservations. She was very accommodating and we were not charged. She even arranged (by contacting another Comfort Inn in a neighboring city) for us to have alternate accommodations that night. This other place was providing the standards that I was accustomed to.

We stayed for three nights. It was a comfortable stay. Walking distance from the universities. The carpets were old and smelled a bit. Other than that, very basic but working amenities.

The rooms are good and affordable. Also they have a good restaurant "Angel" in the same building.

No lunch included as in most choice hotels. Chick on the filling of the coffee and tea envelopes. Clean and quiet when I pass.

Nice clean place. Newly renovated. Cheapest hotel that is close to the Universities. Front desk helpful. Only knock against it is the lack of free breakfast. But there is always free coffee.

Comfortable beds and rooms, good service (a little abrupt and direct by times), decent restaurant attached (Angels). There was a bit of a funky smell in the hallways, almost an old smoky odour. A great location though. It is walking distance to a lot of great amenities: restaurants, pharmacies, university, parks, beer and wine stores.

It was bomb diggity. Met this amazing person called Allen gange who is the best person ever. He made my time at the inn amazing.

Two words summarize my 2 stays at Comfort Inn: "Thin Walls". When I rented rooms there, my intention was solely to get a few hoirs of peaceful sleep to wake up and go to my early business meetings; too bad that was never possible coz I could hear my neighbor's TV, my other neighbor's discussion about baseball, and whoever decided to walk and chat in the hallway at night.

This was my second time staying here. The rooms are a good size for a decent price. You get a couch, microwave, mini fridge, TV and bed. Nothing too special but a good place to lay your head.

Great for groups, there are special rates for that. A in house restaurant as well as a few restaurants and fast food venues in the area. A grocery store just down the road as well as a bulk barn and a health food store.

Staff was very nice. Wi-Fi was good, I was checking email on my phone. The room was clean and bed was comfy.

Conveniently located in a central location.

The Comfort Inn Waterloo is a nice location with very pleasant staff. The rooms are spacious and great for families on vacation, or for travelling for business. The front desk staff are always very helpful and are more than willing to assist you with whatever you need to make your stay better.

Honestly I've been here one other time for a 2 night stay and Had no issues checking out. But today after my one night stay it was a different story. Checking out since we paid cash we went to the front desk to getr deposit. The front desk supervisor Mark let me know that since my friend had signed the registration card that it would have to be them picking up the deposit — which is absolutely fine. While I was sending a quick msg letting my friend know the situation Mark started helping another woman — which is fine so I waited to ask him if it would be ok for me to leave and my friend to come back and sign for the deposit later that day. When he was done helping the woman I stood at the front desk waiting as he was training someone new how to do everything. The phone rang and he picked up and helped the guest on the phone — so I waited patiently for him to finish on the phone. When he was he started showing the trainee a different thing and did not once awknowledge me as I'm standing right in front of him — never asked if I needed anything as if I'm just standing there to watch them. Finally I started getting irritated (it's been 20 minutes since I got there) asked him if he was too busy to help me at this point.

Three stars — "it's okay" — says it all. The customer service over the phone is great; however I heard from several wedding guests that the service at the front desk left much to be desired. Also, the rooms were quite dirty — some guests even cleaned and tidied their own bathrooms upon check-in! In the end, it's okay for a quick 1-night stay.
