THE cheapest room we found in Stratford, and yet a top-notch experience! The front-desk worker was very in-touch with the local shows and had lots of recommendations for eating, parking, and sight-seeing. The room was clean and sparsely decorated, which I appreciated, as no one wants a cluttered room anyway. The building seems like it was built before 1960, as the doorframes and walls are all originals and show some age. But the TV was updated, our room had a minifridge, and no paint chipped or anything. I loved the room, as I always enjoy older buildings with some character and the owners obviously take great care of the place. In case you wonder like we did, there's no breakfast options (it's just a basic motel), but there's plenty of parking on-site and downtown is about a 20-minute walk from the place. 10/10, would book again. People seem to dislike management here but we didn't have an issue with them. I came in having low expectations but I was completely wrong. The rooms are clean, air conditioned, and have Wi-Fi. There's a beautiful courtyard where you can relax after a long day. Since I'm tall the small washroom/shower was a slight issue. Obviously it's not a 4 star hotel but for what you pay for you will be pleasantly surprised!

I booked the motel room on a last minute crisis basis as I am homeless looking waiting for my RV to arrive, and once I walked in the East Indian woman judged me and said that my friend could not stay? She cancelled my booking yet no one was there… I was very upset and stressed and had to carry my bags to the next motel, Travellers, and had a better stay than I would have at this judgemental place. I have tattoos and blue hair — is that why you judged me?

Very clean and reasonable for a stay while traveling for business.

I sayed there yesterday and if you do not do what the ower likes he will tell you he will punch you out and he should be put in jail for making threats I was kick out for smoking in the room and asked to leave but I did not need to be deserve him testing to cause harm to me and stratford dose not need a motel peer testing people he should be pleased in jail and hope people would not use his motel.

The room was lovely and cozy, surprising for a very modest rate but the check-in staff had a dreadful attitude and made for a most unpleasant experience. For a local business they were sure to inform us that they "don't like to rent to Stratford people" due to past experience. The daughter of the family run business also assured us upon check-in (for no apparent reason. Perhaps assuming we had no prior experience as guests in a motel? ) we would be kicked out if we had anyone other than ourselves visit the room, ask us exactly what we would be doing with room (no-brainer but also issued in an extremely intrusive manner) and to inform us of a dozen further infractions that would result in ejection before making sure we understood that they "didn't need the money, like some of the other places in town". We checked out with the father the next day who aside from a few questions about the disconnected fire alarm (like that when we got there) was very pleasant, but the entire stay was soured for us by the interrogation and obvious judgement at check in. We won't be returning, which is unfortunate because without the attitude at check in I would have made it a point to return to the quaint room tucked away on a busy street. I'd rather stay at a shelter than be judged by someone we are PAYING for a service simply because we are from the town in which the business is located. This is one local business that has made it clear they don't want our support!

Really cozy small but clean. Comfy tiny bathroom but you'll feel like your at home. Really grumpy owner don't ask for early mornings wake up call they freak.

Excellent staff very close to the theater as well as several other nice restaurants and only about a 15-minute walk from the downtown core. Room wasn't that spacious but simply as a place to sleep in between taking in all the sights and Stratford it was a great place to stay especially for its price.

Nice and clean. Slightly down side is the sound proof of the rooms. Overall good values and location.

Great Location with a nice relaxing sit up in the courtyard. Rooms were perfect for the price. Me and my wife do not stay in motels very often but we will return to this one next time we visit.

Not the greatest of places in Stratford. Last minute stay it's alright. Decent sitting area outside gazebo. Not all rooms are as advertised online.

I stayed there last year and just booked again this year. It clearly has been recently (last two years? ) upgraded… everything looked new and clean, but agree with a comment and will bring my own pillow. I went out for coffee at the place nest door, not realizing they had coffee and muffins/donuts at the office. The bathroom was small but adequate, clean and newly renovated.

We had to cancel 5 rooms, Hotel charged us 25% of $1000.00 because we cancelled 2 months in advance. I have never had this happen in any hotel I have ever stayed at. We spoke to them, they said too bad, should read small print. Well we were told the place is not very good and only rates 2 star. So maybe its all for the good.

A terrible experience. We booked 2 rooms and had to cancel due to a death in the family which required us to go out of town. We gave 72 hours notice and had to pay full price for both rooms as we hadn't given them 10 days notice. I have no idea whether they were successful in re-renting the room. Although I asked for a written email confirmation when we booked the room — nothing was sent. Their only comment was I should have checked their web site. When I asked to speak to the owner of the motel, I was told "the boss" wasn't available, didn't know when she would be available and when I asked if she could call me — never heard anything. I can't comment on the actual rooms but suggest anyone staying here check all online reviews.

We had a very good experience at this motel! The room was clean, good location, and so handy to be able to just drive our car right up to the front door. Friendly and helpful staff, with great suggestions for places to eat and to go to made it a nice place to stay, at a great price! Would stay here again.

Low price, ok rooms, clean, friendly.

We got what we paid for. The room was small, the bed was comfortable. The walls of the shower had been installed upside down so the soap slid out and fell to the floor, shampoo too. The shower dripped all the time. The room was in bad shape, peeling paint. The windows did not have shades it was fortunate that we like to arise early in the morning. The Wi-Fi didn't reach our room. Even standing outside I couldn't get a strong enough signal to download e-mail. We won't stay here again.
