Was a nice hotel, just stayed this past weekend, but last night Novotel billed my bank account for $339 for no apparent reason. Was planning on returning very soon, but I don't support companies that steal from their customers.

I was there for a work event this week and the vegan food that they made for me was absolutely delicious — thank you to the chefs!

I think it's great to be able to stay in a restaurant like this abroad.
Hotel rooms are comfortable, clean and textured.
Good lighting, a small sofa next to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
It's a lot like a stun pavilion.
Look out of the window to see the beautiful scenery of the city
It's refreshing.
The dressing gown is comfortable because the room's default air conditioning is a little strong.
After a bath came out and dressed quite right
Bed soft hard moderate pillow personally like
Lie down and get a sleep.
There are two free bottles of mineral water in the fridge to get it.
But the coldness of the fridge doesn't feel good enough.
Bathroom hot water supply is fast, the water pressure is also very strong.
Feel in the European and American restaurants
There are not many bathrobes, slippers, mineral water

The hotel design feels fresh and less textured.
The hotel network is good and bad, sometimes it automatically disconnects.
Self-catering breakfast can also choose quite a lot.
The counter staff and the restaurant staff are very kind.
It's just that maybe breakfast time is too busy.

Very nice hotel. Modern facilities. Rooms are very nice. Clean lines comfortable bed good looking bathroom. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful. Location was great out at end of subway. Enter subway right from hotel in mall area. Travel by subway to downtown super easy. 1 subway line You are already on younger street easy access to all malls and waterfront. No driving downtown don't have to worry about parking or traffic. $3.00 to ride subway each way Simple and fast. Other subways connect also. I will do this again. Had a wonderful time. Cost of items is $$$. Great vacation. Lots to see and do.

You get here what you expected from a 3 star hotel. This time I was super unhappy with my stay; it’s summer for god’s sake and the A/C was too warm. I couldn’t sleep well until I got sick. The best they can do is bringing you a stand fan. The breakfast was so limited and not worth the money. Go to Timmy instead.

Fantastic hotel. Clean, great staff. Very efficient staff. Very helpful as well. Great location with easy access to the subway. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.

The rooms are freshly renovated… I was really sad to leave that bathroom behind… the breakfast was awesome and very friendly staff… loved hearing the room attendant humming while she worked… when your staff is happy it rubs off on the guests.

Very fancy rooms and friendly staff. The shower weirded me out it didn't have a door so water spilled out into the floor making it slippery to come out of the shower. I would probably go again.

Convenient location, directly connected to the subway and North York Civic Centre. It is very dated though and in need of renovation. There is a musty smell. Especially the non renovated rooms. The renovated rooms cost a little more and are located on higher floors. These are much better and have a nice view of North York. There isn’t many alternative choices in the area so I would still recommend this hotel for convenience.

Love the quiet, immaculate clean rooms and decor. The staff in the restaurant are exceptional along with the quality of food. The gym, pool and sauna add to the pleasure of the stay. I highly recommend and appreciate the quality and service in this hotel.

The front desk staff were great even during the Young Street Van incident. Dinner restaurant staff were very slow. Evening bar staff were great. The room has one mirror above the sink, as a shorter person I cannot see from the chin down. There is no clock in the room and I don't like to use my phone. The breakfast buffet is weak. Most hotels offer the eggs, sausage, toast and muffins as a free continental breakfast not $20. Finally, I am unable to link my computer to the TV screen. Input buttons are there but do not work. I am stuck watching on my laptop or what Toronto has to offer. Not ideal.

The hotel decor seems like a half-hearted attempt at modernizing. For the prices they charge, I would have expected better quality rooms and amenities but everything is quite dated.

Room service do not water dirty towels also do not change, call him to ask him to tell me that today did not give tomorrow, let me go outside to buy, don't live, what broken hotel.

Best hotel for the price and area. Best rooms, accommodating staff and very central location, connected to the subway and lots of amenities in North York Centre and Empress Walk. Under 5 minutes walking distance to drug stores, grocery, dollar store, banks/ATM and tons of food options surrounding the hotel. Cannot beat this location for its price.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights with our 3 year old son. We loved our stay. Rooms are very clean and nice. Staff is very nice and helpful. Nice pool area. Little kids area in the lobby. Good location with lots of places to eat around. We will return.

I have not stayed here, however I have attended day long sessions here for a few different organizations in a few different industries. Excellent food options, good audio systems and from the organizers I have heard they are accommodating. Book your next day long workshop here!

I spend a LOT of time in hotels, I've seen some things. This Novotel lobby is modern, well appointed, beautiful. The rooms though… the rooms ARE well appointed, but even the "upgraded executive suites" are old and dingy. This hotel IS conveniently located near a train station through the attached mall/business building. You can also access the building across Yonge St where there's a theater, grocery store and restaurants via the underground walkways near the train station. It's a bit overpriced for what you get, but it's not a bad place to keep your stuff while you're out working or sight seeing for the day.

Food is delicious and beautifully presented. Service staff are friendly. The dining room is nice and bright. A nice place to dine.

I enjoy the stay in this hotel every time I visit Totonto. Clean rooms, friendly staff and delicious breakfasts. I just recommend washing plates better as it has stain and doesn't look nice. Thanks! See you again.

The bed was great with 2 different sized pillows for some reason. Had 2 separate visitors who pointed out the unpleasant colour scheme. Great amount of towels provided with an extra blanket available in the closet if needed. I was a little confused by the option to pre check-in but still needed to provide id and credit card on arrival. The parking is expensive to me, $17/day and the tub had paint I guess peeled off. The restaurant staff were great but the food wouldn't have me going back.

We've spent a month in this hotel during our place was under renovations. We are a family of four with two teenagers, and I can't deny that we were happy to sleep in our beds and separate bedrooms in the end, but we certainly had a wonderful time in this hotel. The breakfast buffet is fantastic; the restaurant provides a quiet place at night for a simple but quality dinner. The staff is more than helpful, and the rooms are very convenient.

Have been to this hotel for several conferences. Staff are quick, efficient, and professional. Food has always been excellent. Facilities are well maintained — older in places, but being renovated. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Spent two nights at this hotel with a friend. The check in and check out was handled quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and large enough for the two of us. The temperature of the room was comfortable and the floor we were on was quiet. Two minor complaints. The pillows were uncomfortable because they didn't provide any neck support, and the taps in the shower took some getting used to. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The front desk people were very nice and helpful. The morning breakfast had a good variety of options, but did not vary from day to day. The hotel is currently renovating rooms; therefore, some are newer and some are older. I had the opportunity to see both and didn't notice that much of a difference in quality. The new rooms just look a bit more modem.

Excellent location near subway line and restaurants. Room was updated and comfortable and quiet. There were no electrical outlets available near the bed which is very inconvenient. A single available outlet at the desk is not sufficient with today's technology requirements.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The property itself is showing its age and is not terribly comfortable. Our room included only the bare basics. Two small pillows on a king size bed, shampoo and soap but no conditioner or lotion, exactly two sets of towels. It feels stingy and inhospitable. If this was a budget motel all of this would be acceptable, but at $200 a night it's really not ok.

Easy to reach from the airport, easy access by subway to the centre, very nice and helpful hotel staff.

The hotel was comfortable the waiting staff at breakfast were very friendly & made pancakes with maple syrup for the kids because that was their goal for breakfast in Canada. I had an infection in my leg & could not walk very well & they found a pair of crutches for me. Well done if only other hotels could be as accommodating!

Our executive room with 2 double beds was perfect for an overnight stay for a ball game. Getting to the hotel from the 401 was fairly straightforward, parking was easy, front desk staff and service staff were friendly and helpful, shower was amazing, room was very clean and modern, bedding was immaculate, pillows were plentiful, a/c worked great, and breakfast was delicious! And so convenient to have the subway connection right under the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a nice hotel that seems to cater heavily to professional events, meetings, conferences etc. They have nice little touches like a mini video game lounge and free goodies at the front desk. The conference rooms are nice and vary in size while the catering services provided are very nice, well prepared and varying. I have no issue recommending this as a non business stay or hosting venue for businesses functions.

We stayed in a renovated room. After reading some of the reviews, I would not agree with the negative posts. Though we weren't in one of the older rooms. Staff was fast, polite, and curtious. Transit subway was literly down a few flights of stairs. There were lots of things going on, on the main floor however had no effect on the 14th. Location can't be beat. If you don't want to drive around city and can ride transit.

I stay at this hotel for work due to its convenient location with respects to the office but also to shops available in the area. Lots to do and see right at the door. However, with every stay, I am underwhelmed, as the hotel is beginning to show its age. The accommodations themselves aren't terrible, I just feel that maintenance needs to be increased. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is beautiful and I liked the renovated rooms and I had a choice between free breakfast or parking. We choose breakfast and the food was good with great servers that were always happy and welcoming. The location is perfect, across from Grocery Store and lots of restaurants near by.

Decent Hotel Clean, not very modern but it goes overall. The location was quite far from Toronto centre but not far from the Metro or buses so in the end. All right.

A bit expensive but with helpful staff and all the comforts in the French. The Metro to reach downtown Toronto is 100 metres from the hotel.

Enjoyed my stay at your hotel. I arrived a Monday and left a Thursday. Service was courteous. Room on 5th floor was very clean and came with a small fridge. Room did not have a view but there was no excessive noise. Bathroom had everything I needed and the shower was better than most. Internet worked fine from beginning to end, bill came under my door on last morning. Did not use swimming pool or work out room, but I had a look at both and they looked good. Received an invitation for a complimentary drink at the restaurant, which I used. I appreciated the location which was close to my work address and close to the subway for public transit. Room service was irreproachable.

Participation in a professional eveniment. The restaurant was pretty good. The conference room seemed clean.

Comfortable room, convenient location, and fair prices. The food (room service and restaurant) was very good too.

The staff is very friendly and nice location. That's the only plus here. Bathrooms are majority handicap, with a chair in the shower, makes showering very awkward. With that said, the rubber strip in the shower allows for a lot of water to leak out of shower. Air condition in the whole hotel is nonexistent. Here at the end of May with temperatures in the high 80's to low 90's makes very a hot stay. Beds are comfortable, but expect stained sheets and maybe get lucky like me and get paint droppings on the sheet you sleep on. Also towels have stains. Rooms are very small with no drawers to store your clothes. Not impressed and will be never stay here again. With this prime location this hotel has great potential but is really lacking. Stay somewhere else.

Good location. Was there for a work seminar. Room was fine. Although the air circulation system was a bit loud, however, the hotel fixed it promptly.

Clean and modern. The breakfast joint is a little pricy, I prefer taking a small walk to grab something else.

It was clean and crisp. The hotel was an amazing experience. The staff was kind and extremely accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to any one needing to stay in that area.

Stayed as part of a larger group and let's say there was a large disparity between rooms that had been reno'd and those that hadn't. Others pushed for an upgrade, I was lazy and regretted it in hindsight. -door just about smashed closet door on entering room (closer not setup properly and there was no door stop) -wall paper and carpet failing -no lock on washroom door -no door stop on washroom door, with a weird piece of baseboard tagged on the wall to stop the wall from being damaged… further -sink and tub drained VERY poorly -awful showerhead -air conditioning not working, and no help from front desk on the matter -poorly fitted sheet on mattress and no top sheet, only a dirty duvet cover -gym in poor repair: torn bench, (really) broken elliptical and stationary bike (non-working TV and no foot straps) Desk staff was pretty friendly, and the housekeeping staff did a great job keeping things as clean as possible given the disrepair and were extremely friendly and cheerful in the hallways.

Cool location, on top of a subway stop. Nice rooms. Pool seems a little old and could use a refurb.

We stayed at this hotel in October on a Saturday to Monday, the hotel gave us a lot of surprises. Clean, modern hotel, staff friendly and efficient. Hotel has a great open floor dining area to drink, where the buffet breakfast was good and included in the price! Hotel is located on one side of Yonge Street, very convenient location, surrounded by Loblaws, liquor stores, shops, cinemas, restaurants and subway stations.

Stayed here for a work trip. Was impressed with the modern decor. Plenty of outlets around the room (most with built-in USB ports! ), which has been uncommon among most other hotels I've stayed at. Some things seemed unfinished though, like the carpet around the edges of the room and underneath the bathroom sink.

Good location by the subway and Yonge St activities. Room was adequate but nothing over the top. Service could've been better.

This is our 2nd time here. And we really appreciate the service that the team brought to us. First thing, we found a pair of socks from the previous guest in the room. Calling the reception, we got offer to upgrade to Executive Room for free immediately. Secondly, my son forgot his backpack and the team tried their best to find it. The hotel location is next to many venues like subway station, restaurants, supermarket, shopping malls and a cinema. A great place to stay.

Stayed here when we needed last minute accommodations. It is decently priced. The staff are not very helpful. The rooms are dated and crappy — the carpet was coming up in places, had stains, the bathroom was clean but ugly and very worn. Shower head was really crappy. Wi-Fi was touchy but worked in the end. Bottom line — if you're going for a nice visit, then skip this place and invest in somewhere nicer!

The receptionist doesn’t know what they are doing. I paid my room in advance in full. When I come for the check in they asked me for the same credit card? I did not have it, so they made me pay again, stating they will refund later. However instead they charged it twice! Now I have to waste my time to deal with their stupid mental issues. The hotel is OK. Nothing special.

Worst experience ever! Trapped in the elevator 2 times in 3 days, staff tried to pry the doors open for 30 minutes before calling 911. A lady in the elevator was passing out and the manager didn't even ask her or anybody if they were okay! After the second time caught in the elevator I complained to the manager and was thrown out of the Hotel! Poor pool conditions and overall maintenance, door card lock did not work in our first room and the TV did not work in our so called upgraded room. If your families safety is a concern for you than don't stay here!

Semi decent, dated rooms. Hotel and staff do not care about safety. Trapped in the elevator multiple times and asked to crawl out while in emergency suspension. Wi-fi have to sign into every day and if not careful may end up paying if incorrect option is selected. Pool is poor quality and not maintained well.

Good location and lovely modern decor BUT for a business traveller or internet addict it's pure POISON. Wi-Fi was almost completely unusable in my room. It had dismal speed and continuously dropped connections. Barely good enough for email. I would have given 1 star but aside from the Wi-Fi it's really a nice place; good staff, good facilities, good rooms, good location. As a business traveller, though I must have working internet and this place is a complete fail in that department.

Chose this hotel for both myself and my guests for my wedding. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. We got a fantastic group rate for our guests. Room service is actually reasonably priced and delicious. The surrounding grounds are beautiful any time of the year. The North York civic centre is great for photos. The library and food court are great too. Apparently there is a beautiful rooftop at the hotel, which unfortunately we didn't think to explore. I would definitely love to go back.

Decent price and convent to where I work when I visit Toronto. Beds and rooms are clean, typical room layout with king beds, desk, and bathroom. No HBO on the TV, sorry. Haven't had any problems with noise the last 15 or so times I've stayed there. Breakfast is OK, doesn't seem to change much day to day so if like me you are there often, it gets boring. Internet Wi-Fi in the rooms continues to be a struggle. They do offer an "upgrade" speed package for additional $$$, but it seems the problem is more so the wireless signal not the speed of the internet. This is a challenge for international visitors that relay on Wi-Fi access to call home or check email, etc. Since with the smartphones, you can call home using FaceTime and not incur massive international fees, I find that I often have to go down to the lobby to get enough signal to even do a voice call, video calls have never worked due to the slow speeds. Front desk staff has always been nice to me, and are quick to help. Check in and check out is very fast and they will email you your invoice so when it comes time to put in your expense report you don't have to hunt for that invoice stuffed in your suitcase. You can get to the subway without having to go outside, this is a big plus in the winter.

Have just spent 7 nights here. Cannot fault it at all. Rooms and beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast plentiful and restaurant menu excellent. Staff friendly. Hoping to visit Toronto again later in the year and a reservation at this Novotel will be top of the list. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.

I've stayed here about 7 times for work trips. I love this hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, and the room service is great. The food is genuinely good and well priced.

I was really satisfied with Novotel. Their price was reasonable and the room was neat and clean. Although they have not a great restaurant there are several others nearby. There is even a Loblaw and a movie theatre across the street. I really enjoyed my 6 night stay.

Terrible customer service. Made a reservation, showed up, and they had no room for me. They assured me they had made a reservation for me at another hotel, however, when I arrived at the second hotel they had no record of anything Novotel had claimed. I was then contacted by Novotel saying that I would be charged for not showing up for my reservation. When I tried to call to ensure that I would not be billed because I had, in fact, showed up and been told there was no vacancy, I was transfered 4 times. Each customer service representative cut me off halfway through my explanation of why I was calling, which meant I was never actually transfered to the right person. Just terrible.
