They are very nice and helpful and clean.

New facility. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Uneventful stay. Nice quiet place! HVAC unit was a little noisy. Bathroom was tiny. Whole room was nice and clean. Complimentary breakfast was good, bacon ran out but not for very long. There was a guy topping up all the items as they ran low. If I stay in Barrie again, likely stay here again. Easy to get too!

Clean, modern, wonderful AC, great beds and pillows. We slept very well. Sadly the sink wasn't draining but what can you do.

Great hotel for the price. Pool was small but well maintained. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Continental breakfast was included.

Friendly front desk and breakfast staff. Breakfast was delicious. The pool was clean and not crowded (although the hotel overall didn't seem busy). Housekeeping was a bit inconsistent. Everything was clean, but they took towels that were hung up and didn't replace them. They also removed our bath mat without replacing it. I've worked as a housekeeper in a chain hotel, and that struck me as odd. Central location, easy to get to.

Room is spacious and clean. Service was great at front desk. Breakfast is the usual continental, nothing fancy, but it's free so no complaints.

I had a great stay with my partner and newborn. The only think was the cutlery at the breakfast bar was entirely single use plastics and styrofoams, which we are trying to avoid as a family. I hope holiday inn can address this with a sustainability plan at a corporate level. Wouldn’t be too hard to put in silverware and plates and a washing machine. Thanks Holiday inn.

Beautiful hotel. Super friendly and extremely helpful staff. Fabulous breakfast. Very clean hotel and rooms. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel has by far the best included breakfast options in town. Staff remember me and brought fresh bacon and eggs hot off the grill much appreciated.

Nice hotel, our room was beautiful and spacious. They have a pool which is nice. Only complaint is that the walls are paper thin. We could hear kids running around, for about two hours a kid in the room next to us was kicking the wall against our bed. Finally I banged on the wall which only got the kid more exited and they started banging back. Super annoying. We could hear the conversations of the family next door. Didn’t sleep overly well.

Nice updated room. The wall furnace filter was dirty as usual which makes the fan loud… And the little fridge made tapping sounds. Had to unplug once I woke up and figured out what it was.

I really wish the prices here were more affordable. My visits tend to coincide with a hockey tournament weekend (of which I am not part) so prices jump much higher than the "rooms starting from" rates that are advertised. As compared to other places in Barrie at the same time of year it is comparable in price. You often have to be strategic and patient in how you approach the street it's on. Traffic is a big challenge as a lot of routes converge where a local shopping is located. My wife and I have always admired how clean the rooms are and have enjoyed the selection for the self-serve breakfast area. After a long drive we also appreciated getting a room with a hot tub in it.

Nice hotel with free cookies in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Hard to complain. They upgraded me to a king bed and a spacious room for being a Spire member. I've stayed here before and will stay there again.

Nice room, comfortable bed. Back of bathroom doors could be cleaned but that's my only compliant about the room. The machines in the fitness center are a little rickety but usable. Pool and hot tub were clean. No change rooms off the pool deck but there is a bathroom across from pool. Breakfast was average. Nice that they have coffee in the lobby available throughout the day. Located close to lots of restaurants and shops.

The hotel is Barrie was a pleasure. Very clean. Comfortable rooms. Inviting pool and hot tub and a great breakfast. Would come back again.

Room was comfortable, breakfast better than we expected, staff warmly greeted us in the middle of the night when we arrived.

The room was clean and comfortable. Service was good had no problems during my say and the location was I the area I needed to for the work trip I was on. Over all I would happy stay again.

The breakfast is soooooo gooooood. I recommend the hotdogs. The nightly rate is not bad at all. Loved the pool too. Very nice hotel that won't cost you too much. Plus offers are inclusive of breakfast.

Love this venue, the hot tub king bed room is devine and romantic for that perfect getaway. This venue has the best free included breakfast in town the friendly lovely lady cooked our bacon to perfection. Their breafkfast selections and options are by far better than other hotels in the area. Highly recommended.

Hotel room was very clean and hotel was close to everything we needed. Internet was a little slow but otherwise no complaints! Nice property, definately visit again.

Great place to stay. I stayed couple of nights with my family. My kids liked their breakfast buffet which was included. Little indoor pool with hot tub was nice and we enjoyed. We found the staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. Bathroom was nice and we liked with big glass with backlit. The room was full of lights in all corners with enough reading lights. Free Wi-Fi speed was good. Overall, our stay was enjoyable without any problems.

I generally like Holiday Inn Express — it is our first choice for hotel travel. The suite was big and comfortable. Minus a point because 1) non-functional Wi-Fi and 2) barely functional pancake machine for breakfast.

When ever we stay in Barrie our number one Hotel is the Holiday Inn. Checking in at the front desk is fast and the staff is wonderful and very helpful to all of our needs. Rooms are always clean and accommodating everything we need. Thank you Holiday Inn… Todd & Sherry.

Very pleasant hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff and quite a few amenities such as a reasonably sized pool, warm continental breakfast, paid guest laundry; etc. The suite I had was very comfortable, spacious and felt modern. Have zero complaints, only praise! I'd recommend this hotel to friends.

Very nice hotel. Pool is good. Breakfast was good. Every staff member we dealt with were very nice. The toilet paper was like 0.5 ply. Bring your own if you have some in the car.

Hotel is clean and staff are pleasant. I've had no issues at all so far. The breakfast buffet is very good. Would recommend as a place to stay while in Barrie or the surrounding area.

Quick overnight stay during a shopping trip. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Kitchenette was very dated with old appliances, but the hotel is currently under renovations and this will likely be updated soon. Overall good, comfortable stay!

Good location. Close to highway and many retail stores. Friendly staff and great food. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Quiet, comfortable night stay.

At the end of my stay they asked if I would like a receipt sent to me via email, I said yes since this was business travel and didn't think of it again until I was back home at work. The email was received in early June with no data on it — a blank receipt — nothing on it useful for accounting. I have called, emailed and emailed some more — its now October 20th and still no receipt. What a waste of time. The manager has been emailed, the manager has been called — no receipt. I have finally called US corporate today for help but still do not have a receipt. As to the actual hotel — it is nice once you are in the room but very awkward layout requiring a lot of walking. If you can find another hotel in the area I'd recommend anything but this place.
