This place is incredible! Absolutely stunning area to stay in, and the chalets themselves are cosy and comfortable to stay in. The staff also thought of everything you may need and have provided it for you. They give you coffee, fresh towels, wood for the fires and anything else you could think of. There is also an outdoor pool and hot tub! My personal favorite thing about the place was the Fitzpatrick Mountain trail though. So clean and well-maintained and just really gorgeous scenery. Overall, I didn't really want to leave this place and would definitely come back! Can't recommend Smith Rock Chalets highly enough!

The chalets are beautiful, the views stunning and the staff have literally thought of all your needs from dishes and cutlery to firewood! I would totally recommend and. Will be returning myself.

We spent 2 days at Smith Rock Chalets for my birthday. It is a beautiful location, we enjoyed the walking trails and the hot tub. However, on our first night my 4 year old daughter cut her hand open fairly bad on a piece of glass that was left up behind the bed in our chalet. There was no first aid kit to be found and the office was closed. A neighbour gave us a band aid until I had to drive to Sobeys in Pictou to get first aid supplies. We will be back but we recommend first aid kits in the Chalets.

As always quiet and serene, the spectacular views and the Chalets. Unfortunately this time the rapid thaw destroyed their road and it was a mud fest. The maintenance team worked continuously and hard, but we didn't feel the right approach was implemented. Larger rock and much more would have been necessary to build a one lane bypass on the really bad 5 or 6 areas where vehicles dragged through the mire, it's a miracle non 4 wheel drive vehicles didn't get stuck but with the coming weekend and rain we don't think the road will be passable without serious expensive work. This however doesnt spoil the fact we had a great time and will return.

Weekend wedding, warm and welcoming staff. Was a fantastic stay! Hope to do it again soon!

Beautiful place to get away and to ease your mind from the busy life we all have. Quiet and peaceful, beautiful sunrise in the mornings.

Gorgeous view. Lots of trails to hike and snowshoe. Cozy chalets. Hot tub was hot and bubbling. Perfect winter staycation. Already booked to come back!

We had our wedding at Smith Rock this past weekend, October 12, 2019 — we had planned on an outdoor wedding at the gazebo, but it poured rain. The staff were great at ensuring our inside ceremony was accommodated and working with our decorator. The food was amazing, bar staff were lively and having fun with us, and it felt like a very personal, family experience. They cooperated wonderfully with our decorator, DJ, and anyone else who was there to make our day perfect. We stayed in the chalet for the night, very comfy and bed was amazing after a long day. Our guests all loved the rooms they booked in the Rock Maple Retreat. We had snacks available for late night at the reception, and a wonderful buffet breakfast and gift opening in the morning. Every step of the way, they were accommodating and helpful (constant email communication in the last 3 months specifically, never made me feel like I was a bother but always their priority! )
Thanks so much for allowing us to use your breathtaking venue and celebrate, our day was perfect.

Kids and I loved the trails and pool/hot tub. Wife liked the views.

We have stayed here a couple of times now. The cabins are roomy and very comfortable. Such a relaxed environment. The service is top notch and everyone is very friendly.

Went to an event provided by Shelby Ranch at Smith Rock Chalets today, and the staff from Smith Rock were absolutely incredible, warm and comforting… not to mention the beauty of it all. Thank you to all, you are amazing! Especially for the coffee, and directions! ;)

Chalets are clean and cozy. The view is phenomenal.

Gorgeous view! Great and all kept chalets, comfortable beds, overall really happy with the accommodations! Stayed here as a guest for a wedding. I have celiac disease, but they accommodated me beautifully with meals. They made me my own gluten free gravy and shortcake at desert, so I ate the same meals/courses as everyone else! Relaxing stay. I am satisfied.

First time staying here just me and my husband. The room was very clean and the views were beautiful over looking the mountains. My only real complaint was the fact that there was no food on site. There is a wonderful little place called Deb's Hidden cafe down the road if your looking for classic diner breakfast with some friendly people.

Stay here every year for a group mountain bike trip on Fitzpatrick mountain. Beautiful cabins right at the head of the trails.

Avoid going here! This is the only time I've rated a company poorly online if you get my drift. If you want a hot tub that doesn't work, lot's of bugs in your Chalet, and a manager is in incredibly indifferent I highly recommend staying here:)

I hated it. I go to a motel I don't expect to clean my own room. I don't expect to not be able to connect to the internet. I expect to be able to watch TV. I don't expect to have to set my trash out and have to call the staff to get it emptied. Also had to pay for ice. They give you a tiny ice tray that wont even fill one cup. Then charge you 2.50 for a bag of ice. I would only recommend this place to my worst enemy.

A wonderful, cozy gateway is in store at these chalets. Love the views and wood stove. Went there on my honeymoon and return every year in my anniversary. Highly recommended.

Awesome place! Was here on Christmas with my family. Just incredible and the view … OMG! Really nice place to be. Need to have more amenities inside the chalets, not sufficient.

Not easy to find this place during night.

No hand soap in room. Other then that was was clean and nice location.

The room was nice with a deck off the back with a view of the cabins and the hills. The bathtubs have jets. The hot tub and pool were open but only half of the jets worked (at the best of times) The Wi-Fi was horrible not able to connect to it at all. The fridge is very small hard to fit a 4L jug of milk into it. The staff were very friendly. Thankfully we only had one night sleep on the pull out couch.

We really enjoyed our stay at Smith Rock Chalets the view was wonderful and the staff very friendly. The only complaints I had was with the hide-a-bed, the mattress was almost impossible to sleep on, our daughter was suppose to sleep on it but my husband did instead — the only way he could sleep on it was to layer it with blankets first. Also, the Wi-Fi only worked intermittently and not for very long. I consider these minor flaws that can be remedied quite easily. Our overall trip was great.

Beautiful view, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, sledding trails all around the property. Amazing spot!

My wife and I stayed here for a short relaxing getaway. We were looking forward to a cozy cabin and the use of a hot tub as a treat. The hot tub was unavailable for the night we were there, so the owner called me personally and made arrangements to make things right. The cabin itself was very cozy. We loved the lofted bedroom and the cozy wood fire. We will be back for another visit.

Beautiful area, views were gorgeous. The rooms could have included a few more amenities but overall no complaints.

We visited as our daughter is looking at wedding venues for next year. Beautiful location… banquet rooms… cannot wait to start planning the wedding activities there.

We had a wedding here on the weekend and it was fabulous. The staff here were excellent. I can't thank them enough. Everyone had a really great weekend.

This place is truly amazing a must see… the rooms are beautiful and the chalets are definitely something else also. Karaoke with KGB Entertainment was amazing… the staff were very friendly and treated us with nothing but kindness… I will for certain be coming back and would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you again for your hospitality.

Definitely a wonderful getaway for the weekend (Valentine's Weekend). Clean chalets — well stocked. The staff was wonderful! Too bad there had to be disrespectful people to ruin the hot tub for the night. A wonderful place to go and relax! Thanks for keeping us stocked with wood! We cant wait to go back :)

This place is amazing. Great view. Great staff. Clean, comfortable accommodation and your children will love all the farm animals on the property.
