Best motel I've ever stayed in! I stayed at the Wayside Motel with a couple of friends and had the most amazing time. The rooms are really spacious, clean and comfortable and I was impressed by all the thoughtful touches (kettle, tea selection, fridge, etc). There are also bbqs and picnic benches that you can use. The owner is really attentive and kind and wants to ensure that you have the best stay. I also appreciate the selection of goodies in the reception! You can buy snacks to take on hikes with you. The motel is near the The Wiikwemkoong Unceded Reserve and so it was very easy to get to the Pow Wow. I've stayed in many motels during the course of my North American travels and this is by far one of the best!
We arrived on our motorcycles after being on a one week trip and the service and cleanliness was amazing. It wasn't just the huge beds and pristine sheets it's all the little things. She provided cloths for the bikes if we wanted to clean them. A kettle in my room as I am a tea drinker (that never happens! ) Milk for coffee/ tea. I appreciated she kept smokers in a separate section too near her beautiful gardens at a table. We will be back! 10 stars not 5!

My wife, son and I stayed here three nights for labor day weekend. I was extremely impressed. Everything was super clean and the beds were comfortable. The room sizes are massive, which was nice for our playpen. My son screamed all night so when I said sorry to the people in the room next door, they said they didn't hear a thing. The owner was very kind. Definitely recommend the wayside motel.
