Accommodating for larger families of 2 adults and 4 children. The room was very clean and had no smell. The pool was incredibly family friendly, the deepest part only reaching 1.1 meters but still had a waterslide for older kids and hot tub. Check in early though if you want a reservation with the pool (max 18 people). The pool is on a first come, first served basis when you check in, and still not guaranteed. I had called the day before and was told the pool would be made available to us as we had a reservation. The TV by the beds wouldn’t work to order a movie. Called front desk and no solution was offered as maintenance was not there. The beds although a bit noisy were very soft and comfortable, felt like I was sleeping on a cloud especially with the soft comforters too. Surprisingly it was very quiet, little to no noise from the hallway or any other rooms. Water pressure and temperature was a bit lacking at 10 pm and bathroom could use some updating but good size. If hoping to have someone sleep on the pull out sofa plan for something else as it was not up to par at all. Full continental breakfast — juice, coffee (24/7 at front desk), bagels, fruit, breakfast sandwiches and muffins. Overall would give 3.5/5.

Worst hotel stay ever. Room was not as described not renovated looks like it was a 1970s period piece. Orange carpet, tacky blue couch and wall paper. Bathroom pipes made noise all night. The people above us ran around all night stomping and screaming. Call to the front desk didn't help. Breakfast the next morning was juice boxes, coffee and packaged muffins with brown oranges. Only redeeming quality was a kid friendly pool. This stay was NOT worth the $200 for the room! Wont ever recommended to anyone!

Stayed here last night. Arrived around 6pm to check in. There was no hot water. No hot water at 7:30am this morning. Still no hot water at 10am. At check out we were informed that management knows of the situation. If this was the caes why were we not notified at check that there was no not water? No discount offered for the inconvenience. Very noisy. Kids running in halls, playing ball hockey and tossing a foot ball. This was on 3 different floors.

Nice hotel. Great swimming pools. Kids friendly pools.

Our room and hallway stunk. There was no blow drier or bottles of water that were promised. Pool water was very cold however we did enjoy the activities.

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Great bar area and good food. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites a few times this past week. The staff was amazing. So friendly and accommodating. Shuttle was available for anywhere within 5k. Food was great and rooms were super clean and quiet. Will definitely be my place to stay when I come back for work. Tx to the stellar staff!

Nice place, friendly staff, couldn't use the pool because my leg is in a cast but there is one, complimentary breakfast buffet.

It took us awhile to check in. Our credit card didn't work so we have to use debit, but the credit card worked in other establishments. Rooms are stinky and the bed as well. There are stain on the carpet and we didn't know what it is very sticky too when we accidentally stepped on it really gross! We are guessing it is pet poop. Carpet is dirty! Our pillows stinks too and the air condition doesn't work very well. It was hot in our room. They gave us a pet friendly room even though we didn't have pets with. Was just wondering why if they have other rooms available, what if we were allergic to pets? we were not aware that they have pet friendly rooms and only figured it out when we saw some pets on the floor and saw the really nasty stain on the floor. We went to the reception and asked for a different room. We have to move all our stuff to a different room and it was a hustle. Was a very bad experience. The hot tub is out of order too. We are from outside the city and just want to relax but ended up having a really bad experience.

My son and niece enjoyed the waterpark. It was adequately heated and clean even in December. I also loved the convenience of the free shuttle from the airport and to anywhere within the 5 km radius, though there were several instances that it wasn't available because there was no driver. Love, love the availability of very good coffee 24x7. It wasn't a big deal, but it just felt weird that I don't get any acknowledgement of my Gold status when I checked in nor when I asked for possibility of late checkout. Will definitely come back with my family again, soon.

Great hotel. Manager came to check how everyone was doing at breakfast, had a great conversation. Makes you feel at home, welcome, appreciated. Desk staff recognized my mother when she came in. Coffee in the lobby upon my late arrival was amazing. Well done.

Someone else mentioned the beds being noisy. Its so true — they squeak! If you're trying to be quiet getting in and out of bed, you won't be successful. The pool was great for small children with a wedge shape entry making it very walkable for little legs. It never exceeds 1.1M depth. There is a water slide and other fun ways to play. Hot breakfast starting at 6am — scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon as well as cereals, yogurts, fruit, pastries and various other breads. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Hallways and elevators don't seem to have good ventilation which would be my only complaint.

I don't usually review hotels because my standards for hotels are pretty simple and I'm not sure what it would take for 5 stars. Anyway, this place was clean, breakfast fine and had a decent excerise room: 3 stars… However, as I think about it, the all the staff were supper friendly and helpful so +1 star.

Very good price, when you check-in, you get a card that unlocks your door, just tap it by the sensor of the door lock, and your door is then unlocked. My room came with a fridge, TV, 2 Queen Size Beds. The beds are very soft and spacious. In the hotel, there is a fitness room, and a pool. You will need your card that unlocks your rooms doors to unlock the door to the fitness room. The pool is a nice place for families, the water is also not that deep, but there’s a deep end I believe. Also, there is a mini market near the reception, you don’t have to pay at that time, the charge will go on your bill after you check out. The fitness room is open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Last but not least, there’s free breakfast at the hotel, I believe it starts from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, there is ALOT of foods to choose from.

We stayed overnight with my family. The staff were very accommodating. They gave us complimentary treats while we’re waiting for our rooms. They have a buffet breakfast that was so good. I just wish they’re not that strict in using the pool. Overall, good time spent with my family, will definitely book again.

Hotel employees were very courteous and attentive. The rooms contained updated furniture and electronics. Only reason for a 4 star is not so much a deterrent for someone to stay here. This location shares parking with another hotel so finding a spot can be difficult during peak times/day. I would and will definitely stay here again on future travels.

Nice hotel with exceptional customer service. Stayed 1 night. I had a meeting scheduled but forgot to reserve a boardroom. This hotel does not have meeting rooms so I was stuck. They setup a suite for me within 45 minutes. They provided me with everything that I needed with a big smile. Many thanks to Kiran at front desk and Cathy (Gen. Man. ).

The best hotel to stay at in Winnipeg. They treat you like family. They know our names and are ready to help in any way possible if they need to. They're morning buffet breakfast is very fresh and tasty. They always have tea or coffee going on in the lobby. I really feel at home and comfortable there the beds are super comfy I have the best sleep ever there. You won't be disappointed is all I can say. The pool area is great for children they have all kinds of sprinklers and the children can walk right into the pool.

Arrive about 6 pm. Check in was quick. Stayed on the 6th floor and heard no noise despite the hotel being under construction. Great place for business travellers.

Very nice & well kept. Great breakfast with good variety. Kids had a lot of fun at the pool. Unlike many places, the water in both the pool and the water slide was nice and warm. Unfortunately, there was some deliberate damage done to the pool by a guest on our last night but arrangements were made allowing us to use the pool at a nearby hotel. No complaints.

My sister had stayed here hotel looked amazing. Wasn't dirty. Looked very clean. They had a good night there. And fun time. In the pool. Thank you.

After having some difficulties with the front desk while attempting to book 2 adjoining rooms. They said they didn't have adjoining rooms. (She was rude and hung up). I left a voicemail for the manager. Carol called me back later in the day and was apologetic and said yes they had 2 adjoining suites (what we were looking for), and for the way her staff acted she would give us the 2 rooms for a standard room price. This was over and above and great customer service.
Day of arrival I called to see if we could check in at noon. No problem, one room would be ready for sure.
We arrived and were given our room keys. When we got there the rooms were NOT adjoining as requested & promised. (we were 2 couples with 4 kids) so I went back downstairs to see what happened. Oh the rooms heater was broken so we couldn't have the adjoining rooms. After a discussion turns out the rooms just needed to be cleaned … we waited for 2 hours. Got the run around.
Finally got into our rooms … the bathrooms smelled disgusting. But we were able to get the kids in the pool.
Hot tub… out of order. On nye. No towels in the pool area the entire time… we had to repeatedly ask for towels.
At bedtime we pulled the sofa beds out for the kids… ripped, stained and springs sticking out. Absolutely disgusting and gross.
Breakfast was alright… waffles are a saving grace… eggs are like rubber and the sausages have been drenched in salt.

Hotel is nice and clean. Pool is great for kids except there were never enough towels (hot tub was not working neither). Breakfast was good except there was never enough plates, cutlery, butter, oatmeal. It took a long time for things to get restocked.

Stay here regularly over Xmas holidays to see family. Very professional kind service. Had a little issue with front desk this visit, Manager Cathy took great care to correct the issue and improve our accommodations. Room clean, mostly quite, decent hot breakfast, water park for kiddos. Overall exceptional value.

Room is nice and mostly up to date. The hot tub has been out of service for 3 nights with no repair date known which is disappointing when our room doesn't come with a bath tub. The pool area would be fun for kids though, with waterslide, and other waterpark features. The thermostat on the wall doesn't seem to have any effect on the actual heat which must be adjusted on the unit itself. Housekeeping skipped making the bed one day and only replaced about half the towels for some reason, including not providing a bathmat. Breakfast has been good with lots of hot selections.

" I went back around 11:30am, I had a different guest service helping me. He checked me in early, and didn't charge anything extra. I don't know their full details of checking in earlier policy with or without extra charges. It was quite an experienced with professionalism and great manner. Only gave four stars, felt like I was getting the run around about check in policy with rooms availabilities. I would still stay here again. Thanks.

The free breakfast was a nice touch. We stayed with our two dogs, the chair had a large stain and carpet seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed, maybe that was just the pet room. The rest of the room was clean, nice. Pool is great for kids.

Well-received and well-equipped place. During our stay there were worries with the pool but apart from that, nice hotel.

The rooms were very clean. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The continental breakfast area was clean as well.

So far so good construction going on so far no parking problems. Clean rooms pleasant staff.

Construction nearby. Elevated noise levels. The past room was dark and wasn't very clean. Checked out after one night. Homewood suites next door or Marriott Courtyard at airport might be a better choice.

Where does one begin? First I put up with a leaking shower with mould as they had no one to repair it on the weekend. Now this wouldn't have been bad except for the fact I needed to have towels on the floor due to amount of water. Then no parking! What kind of hotel doesn't have enough parking for their guests? Expectation was to park across the street proximately half a mile from the hotel. No security coverage of our vehicles. And when discussing with front desk staff get told "whatever "! Really! I would not stay here again.

Great hotel. The personnel is mostly very kind. The pool is just sensationnal and the morning buffet is pretty good too.

The suite is nice but over the top stove would be cool. Pool is a pretty nice size. The front counter had workers who hardly understood english.

Held a business relationship with the hotel for a number of years and valued the relationship. Stayed there in September 2016 and March 2017 and had bed bugs in the rooms we were in. The sept 2016 issue was horrible, more so than the March issue, there was hundreds of bugs in the room. Little was done to mitigate the problem or offer any compensation for clothes or baggage I threw out. I was very dissatisfied! They originally offered me a weekends stay, but when it was time to cash in in the offer they down graded it to a nights stay. Even though a social contract and understanding was formed. And in March after the issue, they insisted on charging me for the room after the issue was pointed out after they indicated no charges would come to my fathers card. Again breaching another understanding between guest and hotel. They did very little again to mitigate the grievances! Sadly they did not meet my standards of customer service or hospitality and I have never been back since.

Very nice hotel for the price. Clean, quiet, and close to the airport and to shopping. The location is clearly one that is still under development so be aware of that. The pool is good for kids, though I'll admit safety could be improved around the very fast waterslide and some slippery surfaces that are also of magnets. Breakfast was the standard fare and well appreciated. Would stay again.

We had a mishap with our reservation through a third party site and our reservation was changed to another hotel. We showed up at Fairfield without an actual reservation and the Guest Services Manager Carol called this third party site on our behalf and tried to set the record straight that they made a mistake. In the end the Fairfield gave us a better deal and even an upgrade. Their service was second to none and their willingness to accommodate and go above and beyond was outstanding and very welcomed. Will definitely be trying to stay at this amazing hotel again!

Nice and understanding staff. They granted our requests. Our room was clean and spacious. Kids enjoyed the pool so much. The continental breakfast was excellent. Lots to choose from. We will definitely stay here again.

The employees, especially a certain manager were quite horrible. They were rude when we found a stain on our bed, they were rude after they moved us to another room and then they became harassing towards us after we found a blood stain on the wall in our room. I would not recommend anyone to stay here, the employees are obviously poorly trained in customer service and their cleaning staff has extremely low standards.

Nice place overall. Quick check in and clean rooms. Close to airport and a handful of places to eat nearby.

The room was lovely and very comfortable, expect for the air conditioner and the train tracks outside, both of which were a bit noisy. The check in staff were very cheerful and helpful.

Good breakfast, good front desk service, the pool is fun buy it was really busy and the chlorine was very strong.

Staff was excellent. I travelled with my 90 year old grandmother and the room was accessible as requested. Although the bed was high for a handicap person, the washroom was well-equiped. When coming and going, the staff would come out to the loading zone and ask if we needed any help. Staff was always friendly and polite. I would recommend to others. And great location!

We have to come on a regular basis to the city for medical appointments and want to combine the unpleasant with some joy. It was our first stay with Fairfield Inn & Suits, and we really liked the new, modern rooms, the atmosphere as well as the location. Also a plus was the continental breakfast and the pool area. I would have given the hotel 5 stars, but there were few things they bothered us. I'm not quite sure if it was the fact that we stayed in a quite busy time, shortly after Boxing Day, or if this happen regularly. But we wish the hotel staff would have shown some more effort to stock up towels in the pool area — without requests. Also the rooms or the breakfast area: although they looked overall clean, there were spots here and there who could have need some more extra "love". For us it wasn't the end of the world and we are certainly looking forward to our next stay, but if those issues continue, we will have to reconsider.
