Review of Poets Cove Resort & Spa 4*

We had our wedding at Poets Cove this past July. When we has originally chosen the place it was under different management and appeared to have much better service. Many things we were originally promised were no longer happening and we were not ever told of the changes. We were told we would have an onsite wedding coordinator to ensure things went smoothly on the big day and I couldn't even tell you what the guy looked like, thankfully our DJ (Bigtime Special Enterprises) had done weddings their before and was able to give us most of the direction we needed otherwise we would have been lost. We spoke over the phone a few times but when we arrived he was no where to be found. The venue is amazing, the rooms are great, the food was great and the property is beautiful. Our wedding ended up being perfect but I had to let a lot of the small things go. My main issues were that many of our guests complained about the terrible service at the pub and we had a huge amount of billing mix ups that took a couple weeks of us calling the front desk to get anything resolved. We also had some of the online reservations not come through so we had a guest with no room when she arrived, it was sorted out in the end but you just really need to stay on top of things if you are booking an event there, because no one else will do it for you. For the amount of money you spend on this venue they really need to work out their service issues. But once that is dealt with it has everything else its needs to be 5 stars.
