It's not a place I'd recommend for a relaxing weekend, that's for sure.

Didn’t actually stay here, but tried too. Called the motel and the person who awnsered, a guy said he had a room and when we showed up there he was laying in another room, the lobby was totally disgusting and messy and when we asked to see the room he said nope no rooms and that he hadn’t received a call in hours. He was giving us a totally creepy look and staring us down then as we were leaving he followed us to the door and watched from the window as we drove away. Glad we didn’t stay there because I certainly don’t want to be killed in my sleep.

The place has gone downhill since the last time we stayed here. When we checked in the person behind the counter was rude and unpleasant. The shower curtain has unidentifiable spits on it and looks scary. The bed is hard and uncomfortable.

When we walked in, there was a man laying on a couch in another room… apparently the front desk receptionist (owner?! ) Not that pleasant either. As we entered our room, we were hit with a smell of old stale smoke. Couch was stained as were the walls, fridge and who knows what else. We did NOT stick around long enough to see. Needs a major overhaul, could have potential as it sits overlooking the water. Not worth $100 plus a night. Pros… I got my back when we politely told him we couldn't stay here.

Cheap and clean. What more do you need. Perfect waterside location.

An Excellent Motel, Great Staff, Centrally Located, and a great view of the Harbour…

From the outside one could imagine nice clean rooms, the thought of that is swept away though once you enter the motel. The front office is dirty, customers service was poor and the up keel was deplorable… so the front office is a bit shabby but hey! Maybe the rooms will be a nice change? … wrong again… the walls are chipped and water stained at times there are two different shade of white sometimes there is just wall plaster that has yet to be painted. The roof is water stained, the carpet is stained with random burn marks, the desk used in the room is tattered, chipped and looks like it la previous use was in a high school. The windows somehow even closed let the wind in. The beds are firm and the linens are slightly stained and tattered. The shower curtain is stained reddish brown with some black spots probably mold. The view out the window is great though! Overall I would not reccomend staying here unless you absolutely need a place to stay…

The room was clean but the building is showing its age. No restaurant but the restaurant at the marina next door was pretty good.

Not very clean. Bathtub was dirty and the carpet is quite old and unvacuumed, but the mattresses were firm. Functional for shelter, I guess. Note if you get the rooms facing the bay, you might get a light shining through the thin drapes from the dock. But guests smoking at the ends of the hallways on the second floor will permeate the smell to your room.

Right on the water and next to a pub. Awesome view from the pubs patio. It's a good spot when work sends you away overnight.

Royal Reach is conveniently located near the highway, the beach, and the inlet if you have a car or bike. The staff were friendly and were accommodating to our needs for locking up our bikes. The bathrooms were clean and hot water was available. This motel seems fairly old and it should be expected that the decor and furnishing is outdated. The beds are very old, soft, and noisy. The curtains are not very good at blocking out sunlight at sunrise.

Dated decor, stained & burned carpet, stained sheets & mattress. No ac, loud area. Beautiful location but they should tear this place down.

Location is the only thing going for the Royal Reach. We booked a room with 2 beds, one was so thin and old you could feel every spring and the second bed was a pullout couch from some time in the 1970s. No air conditioning and no air flow so the room was hot and humid, and the Wi-Fi was terrible. Definitely not worth what we paid.

Very poor customer service. Cigarette burns on rug and end table. Walls are chipped and need painting. At least the sheets look clean.

The rooms are a bit small and the beds squeak but there's a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker and microwave. Leftover food in the mini fridge. There are also pet friendly rooms and the staff are very considerate.

Comfy, cozy, nice view, felt a little like bates motel, but overall good experience.
