We arrived early at the hotel (11 am) and asked if it was possible to check in. We were told check in was at 3 and there was a charge per hour for checking in early, we declined. After getting some brunch and having a nap in our car, we tried to check in again. The room we were given on the 5th floor stank of cigarettes. Back at the lobby we were told it was a non-smoking room, but the floor was designated as smoking. We demanded, and were given another room. The new room had mold around the bathtub, and there were water stains on the ceiling. Seeing the condition of the place, we slept on top of the sheets, being afraid of the possibility of bed bugs. Would I recommend this place? Not only no, but HELL NO!

Really a great affordable hotel. Very conveniently placed close to the airport. Clean simple and the staff work extra friendly it seemed. Especially enjoyed the continental breakfast that was included as well. Will definitely stay there again in the near future.

I've had worse sleeps in my life — no question. But not where I've paid just under 200 dollars to do so. Between the air conditioner upstairs (I'm assuming? ) with its death rattle/vibration every 20 minutes and the crazy drunk people in the hallways that I had to eventually complain about at 1am because I was just. Over it. I wouldn't pay more than 60-70 bucks to stay there again. Front counter gets a solid 4 stars. Room gets a 2. Overall experience gets maybee half a star.

Zero stars the place is a run down hooker bang bang plaza. Sheets were itchy from whatever they use to clean them. Long hairs left behind from whoever. The continental breakfast is a joke. 230$ for this?! Get bent! Never again. Absolutely do not recommend this place.

To call this a 2 star hotel is generous… maybe if the scale is out of 100. The staff seem ok, but this place needs a huge makeover. Honestly, it's gross & rundown. I could provide more details, but just stop reading this review, save yourself some time & go book another place.

Nothing wrong with the hotel. It's a good place to rest your head for the night. The breakfast that is included is just toast and juice though.

Intermittent Wi-Fi. The continental breakfast consisted of bread for toast, two choices of breakfast cereal, three types of juice and some type of banana bread. All served up on paper plate and plastic cutlery. The breakfast area looked as if it were in a state of renovation with chairs and tables pushed and stacked up in the dining area.

I work as a flight crew for a major Canadian carrier. I've been commuting and travelling for many years and have seen hotels from East to West. This place is the 2nd most abysmal hotel I've ever been to (worst one was in Nunavut). It's old, the room was quite dirty (food / bread crumbs all over the desk, hair in the bathroom, etc. On top of that, I was told the shuttle to the airport leaves at 15 minutes past the hour. I was there two minutes before that only to be informed by the employee that the shuttle left 5 minutes ago and I should've been downstairs 10 minutes prior to departure. I had to pay $17 for a cab far to the airport. Stay away from this place, mostly because it's dirty… never mind the rest.

Convenient location relative to the airport. However, the rooms are dated, and ceiling tiles in the shower are falling apart and the paint is peeling. The room smelled of smoke, and I've seen public bathrooms that are cleaner than the one in the room. Other guests even mentioned that they have mold in their showers. Wouldn't stay more than a night here.

I stayed here while waiting for my kids to arrive. Place was clean, rooms were good. Huge building lots of floors. Transit to and from airport provided by way of shuttle bus was good and fast.

Needed a place to stay since our flight didn't leave the next day. Big big mistake! Our room was not clean, mold in the shower tiles and mold behind and under the toilet tank. The shuttle driver that picked us up at the hotel was rude. The only plus side was the courteous front desk staff. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Spend the extra money get a better room. Would not stay here ever again.

This is a reasonable hotel. The staff was very courteous. The room was clean. The beds were hard, which is to be expected for a 2 star hotel. My biggest complaint, however, is the continental breakfast. It is very second rate in comparison to other hotels of the same level.

Staff is very nice and tries to be helpful. Rooms are quiet — but that's the only good I can say. Sink and caulk had red and black mold. Tub had black mold. One lamp didn't work. Made the recommendeded reservation for a shuttle back to the airport. Desk clerk seemed surprised when I asked 10 minutes before and had to call the driver. He said he be 5 minutes late. That passed and after many calls to the driver and excuses from the manager they finally called be a cab. Only giving me 30 minutes until I board. My hours of relaxation have been killed.

We reserved the hotel a couple months in advance as they offer parking while we were away on holidays. On arrival, our reservation had been lost and the receptionist was quite rude and unhelpful (I take responsibility for not having my reservation confirmation code to show my booking and price) — — yes, because we now had to book the room at the time of arrival, the price was drastically higher. We would have went elsewhere but we had flights to catch. On our return, our room was very dated and run down and looked like it hadn't been cleaned very well. Bed was comfy but that was not worth the money we spent on this room. We left very early in the morning and tried to get a quick coffee but the coffee maker was broken and poured coffee all over the tray. We have used this hotel as our sleep, park and fly hotel for the last 15-20 years as it was reasonable and decent, unfortunately we have noticed it's gradually getting more and more run down. The snotty receptionist and price gouge was the ultimate insult and we will not return or recommend this hotel as we've done prevoiusly. At $240 for one night in a run down hotel (with three weeks parking) I believe there are considerably better options.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! I travel a lot and for the cost, this is most definitely not worth it! Room was freezing and they only had two thin sheets for top cover. No blankets anywhere in room. They accidentally set a wake up call for 4:22am which kept ringing and kept us up for a good hour. The shuttle driver was very rude and waited around for 30 mins for no reason which ended up resulting in me missing my flight.

Such a poor hotel. First night the heater didn't work then the drain in the tub didn't do the job. Although the management was quick to respond to each of these issues. Better to pay a little more and get a better hotel. Sometimes you get what you pay for!

Cheap comfy hotel close to the airport with free shuttle. Ideal place to rest your head without breaking the bank if you have a layover in Vancouver or flying out of yvr. Some rooms are more dated then others but always clean. Free breakfast and airport shuttle are a big bonus.

Pros — Comfy bed, good sized room, great price! Shuttle service to airport, friendly staff. Good amenities, yet to try the breakfast as I'm actually about to go to sleep here. Bathroom is decent. Cons — Abysmal Wi-Fi… easily the worst I've had at any hotel. Took atleast 4 mins to just do a Google search to do this review. TV has poor resolution and has pixilated lines at times. Makes the thought of renting any on demand movie at $19.99 plus tax seem like a BIG waste of money. Which is sad because the movie selection is great! Even some that are still in theatres, or so it's advertised. TL;DR Great place to sleep and rest up before doing more traveling out of the airport. Not a place you'd want to stay and expect to feel at home or even stream Netflix on your tablet or phone. But it's cheap so, 2/5 stars.

Good convenient Accommodation close to airport. Pickup service not acceptable but return service outstanding. Registration excellent and friendly. Rooms more than adequate. Would give them another chance with airport Pickup because everything else was good.

The room was clean and internal furnishings reasonably up to date. Room had 2 queen beds for the 3 of us. But it's not such a good idea to have the room coffee maker in the bathroom! Other notables: room came with a mini fridge and iron and ironing board. Note that the hotel's car park is actually a paid parking area, so to get free parking, just let them know your car number during check in.

Hotel was easy to get to, close enough to Vancouver and also close to dimsum in Richmond. Rooms were clean and had coffee, and a refrigerator but no microwave. Looks like there's a lounge for food and drinks, we didn't visit but it's a nice option.

It is an old building not recommended. It offers you continental breakfast and it turns out that there is only coffee, toast and oranges!

Good airport hotel. Good things — free parking, clean room and a pool. Negative — the free breakfast only had toast and an apple available. Adding atleaet 1 other breakfast item would have been great!

We are in Vancouver for a family emergency. We were directed to this hotel as one that is close to the hospital. My wife booked the room and was told to ask for a compassionate rate. On arrival, we were told there was nothing they could do but that he would check with the manager and we could check back with them in the morning. I checked with the manager and was told that they were really busy and that she could not forego the revenue. I asked and she confirmed that they only offer a compassionate rate when they need the business. We need to stay tonight and was quoted a rate of $279 — $80 higher than last night. I called an upscale hotel in downtown Vancouver (regular rate of $700) and explained our situation. She indicated that they were almost full as well but immediately accommodated me and I am paying a lesser rate than this hotel. Apparently they understand customer service. Please understand that it is not that I was expecting a better rate (we asked because we were told to) but that she indicated that she could not forego the revenue unless she needed the business. By the way, we arrived to vomit all over the front sidewalk. I guess their is a reason why this hotel is the last choice when everyone else is full.

Convenient location for lots of food options. Room were clean but nothing extraordinary. We were in need of some eating utensils and they were able to provide us with that.

Close to the airport, comfortable bed, large room. On the other hand there is not much in the continental buffet (toast, cereals, juice, coffee, a few pieces of cake and that's it! )

Moldy, Outdated, Overpriced, Terrible Customer Service! There was black mold along the window, sink and shower. We pointed it out and showed pictures and the front desk agreed. We asked to speak with the manager and they told us he was in a conference call but gave us a number to call him. Once outside, minutes later, we called and he answer, clearly not busy in a conference call. He told us that they're replacing the silicone because it discolours and that it wasn't mold, without even looking at the pictures or taking any time for assessment. They gave us a 10% discount off of a $300 hotel that should have only been $100 at most. It was unfortunate that we got stuck in a time of high demand and few options and ended up at hotel that has no problem ripping people off. The situation could have been handled so much better. Very disappointing.

Check in was slow due to the one staff member helping another guest. Room was a decent size with one small queen bed. Refrigerator in room was a bonus. Furniture was a hodgepodge. Sheets did not fit bed too small and I ended up sleeping on bare mattress for most of the night. Room was air conditioned so that was a blessing as it was hot outside. Continental breakfast was terrible. Consisted of Texas white and brown toast, 2 types of jam (no peanut butter), corn flakes and Rice Krispies, a bowl of fresh oranges which did not look fresh), orange and apple juice and coffee. There was also a tray of the smallest cut up loaf I ever saw. This was the most popular but was not replenished quick enough for the volume of people waiting for more. Most people took 4-5 pieces which equated to approx a half muffin. When tray was replenished there were only 8 tiny pieces put out. I don't even know why they bother promoting a continental breakfast as this was pathetic. Suggest lowering room prices and giving a discount towards nearby Denny's or White Spot. While we were packing up the attendant cleaning rooms was on her cell phone gabbing the whole time. Surprised her neck didn't get sore. She cleaned 5 rooms while I watched and was talking loudly on her phone the whole time. Good thing I didn't want to sleep in. Check out was slow again as one clerk was busy with other guests. For a one night stay it is ok but wouldn't stay any longer.

The room is positively comfortable because of the air conditioner which makes us comfortable. It has only one queen size bed which fits two people at most. However, the downside for this hotel is the poor Wi-Fi connection. Also, the continental breakfast has the lack of varieties because they only some basic food for breakfast (toast, cereal) and nothing else like omelette or pancakes. I would give this hotel 2 stars, but in this case, I gonna give 3 for our comfort.

Stayed for 4 nights. Amazing customer service and I had a lovely stay. All you can ask for the price you pay. Rooms are a bit outdated but they keep all facilities clean and working. They just need to update the place a bit and I'll give it a 5 star rating. Shuttle service is extremely convenient.

Our stay at the hotel has been a positive one and great for what we were looking for in Vancouver. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the train line which is then a further 15 minutes into town and quite cheap. The room is comfortable and clean, the breakfast is pretty basic but does what it needs to and the pool is nice and clean. There is also a free shuttle too and from the airport running almost all day, the times are only published in the lobby but it seems to just circle between the hotel and airport during peak hours. Overall I'd recommend coming here if you are visiting Vancouver for a few nights and want am affordable place to stop off and enjoy the city.

Very unstable internet Connection on the "business" floors. Unable to work properly more than 10min.

Waited over an hour for the shuttle that runs every half hour. Calling the hotel about this only got me a man who could barely speak or understand english. He hung up on me when I questioned where the shuttle was.

The hotel itself is ok, you get what you pay for. My issue is that we stayed there on our way to Mexico and my daughter forgot her stuffed toy (we had not planned to take it to Mexico so did not know it was missing). We stayed there again on our way home and were never informed that we had left the toy in the room on our previous visit so returned home without it. When I got home and discovered the toy missing I phoned the hotel and they said they did indeed have it. I asked them if they could mail it and they said they would. It is now a month later and I have not received the toy. I have called three times and have been told I need to speak to someone else and that he would call me back. He never did. Nobody can even tell me if it was mailed or not. I called again today and was told that I need to call back on Monday as apparently he is unable to return calls. My husband happens to be in town this weekend but nobody seems to know if the toy has been mailed or if they have lost it. When I put this to the man at reception he admitted that they have probably lost it. It would be nice if someone could tell me for sure, so I can replace my child's toy. Needless to say their customer service requires work. I don't understand why if you leave something in your hotel room that may be important, the hotel does not give you a call to inform you. That would have saved so much troubles especially since we were returning to the same hotel. I am highly disappointed with this hotel.

Went there for Trinity's Driving School, easy to get to, close to a Tim Horton's, a&w and taco del mar.

My wife and 10 month old and I stayed here for only a few hours as we were looking to get some rest after a 12 hour flight and before the next leg of our travel. The rates were as good or better than the day room rates at other hotels in the area so that's what we went with. It wasn't luxurious but the room was clean and comfortable and the shuttle got us to and from the airport easily and on time. I'd have been happy to stay the whole night if we hadn't been flying out the same evening.

Clean, basic hotel, perfect to catch an early flight at the Vancouver airport. They also have a shuttle service available but didn't need to use it.

Convenient location. Nice comfy room at a reasonable price.

Our hotel beds were pretty hard, and the Wi-Fi here sucks beyond all reasoning, but the location is nifty. Has a shuttle from the Vancouver airport, and there's an A&W across the road, with another burger joint the other way around. There's also a grill and bar behind the hotel, and there is a pool. Small, but there still is one. The price was also extremely cheap, so it's worth the price.

It's nice, but the air conditioner is very old and noisy.

Great value… if you don't need Internet! I initially didn't mind the room and price but once I tried to do some work I quickly realized that the Internet isn't even usable at night. Latency of 2-3 seconds is far beyond acceptable 50-150ms (1000ms = 1s). After hours of torture I found the Internet sharing on my old cell phone to be a far superior data connection. I know that might have been a bit technical but if you know something about networking you can easily see how pitiful the Internet is here.

Stayed on 11th floor in an business suite. Wifi sucks. Did not work for us the entire 3 days. But the room was clean and comfy and quiet. Would stay again. Just get better Wi-Fi please.

Hotel cancelled our reservation the DAY we were supposed to check in. We arrived at 1 am and didn't get a room until 4 am due to "problems". The concierge was rude to us the entire stay. The Wi-Fi never worked which made it difficult. The rooms smelled like smoke even though it was a non — smoking room. The TV was broken which was annoying since we were there for a week. Had to replace the room key 3 separate times because they kept not working. As well, the restaurant was constantly closed because they had no business whatsoever. Overall, wish I stayed somewhere else.

Out of the three hotels I've been on obj this trip this has been the worst. Everything is worn and scuffed. Windows have a thick layer of dirt coating them.

When I stayed at this hotel a few months ago I wasn't really impressed, but my last stay in a newly renovated room was phenomenal and a great rate compared to the other richmond hotels which I stayed in. I think floors 8, 9 and 10 have been renovated and are now business class so maybe try to get a room on these floors.

Jason at the front desk is THE most helpful person I haven ever dealt with. We book many rooms with him he remembers all of our drivers and their likes and dislikes without even having to look it up in the computer! I wish there could be one of him at every hotel.

Recently I was trying to find accomadations for our girls softball team while staying in Richmond for the Provincial Championships. We were on a budget and found rooms at the Travel lodge. We were really impressed upon arrival that the hotel was able to accomadate our room requests even though they were sold out. The hotel was quite, clean and the beds were super comfy! We were happy with the location and staff were very friendly during our 3 night stay. We would certainly stay there again with team sports as the rooms were adjoining which made the girls feel like they were all together. Great atmosphere.

We have had a terrible experience at this Travelodge. The rooms are dated and poorly lit. The front desk urged us to take a later shuttle which made us miss our flight (a costly mistake for us). Finally, on our return, we had to wait over an hour for a shuttle. I urge others not to book at this hotel.

This hotel upon first entry shows terrible wear and tear, cheap bright unflattering lighting. I am certain the cleaning staff take no pride or effort in cleaning up scuff marks, spills and stains. The elevator car was scufedf and filthy, the common hallway on the floor I stayed on had terrible mildew smells and even worse had the smell of cheap deodorizers, not to mention that the carpets look like they hadn't been steam cleaned in ages or even replaced in a decade or more. The walls and doors in the hallways were filthy. My room was much of the same. Mildew smell coming from the bathroom, terrible filthy rug in the rum, scuff marked walls and furniture, filthy air conditioning unit on the wall below the window, it was filled with years of dust and debris collection, there was grime on the window seal as well… The bed was a very poor mattress, just a cheap mattress on top of a box spring and the box spring and mattress sides looked old and stained. The bedding was of the cheapest quality. The bathroom tub had mildew in along all of the silicone seals, the tub had many scuff marks, the ceiling int he bathroom was stained… Th towel I used to dry after showering showed considerable wear and tear… I don't even want to imagine just how many times they have cleaned and recycled that towel. They should be replacing the towels at least every year…. Just disgusting The room was just atrocious! This hotel has no sense of PRIDE of ownership amongst it curators.

My bed was infested with bed bugs! I woke up with bites all over my legs and stomach. When I bought it to the attention of staff they did not seem to be too concerned with attending to the problem and were more concerned with displacing the blame. Gross.

Clean, tidy, pleasant staff. Nothing special, but there are no minuses and explicit.
