Beautiful little resort. The owners are great people and it is very clean. I was on the beach in one of their rv spots and the view was amazing.

Very nice little resort. Very quiet and I love the cute condo’s. Also I love that all the campsites are on the water. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I recently got married at South Point Resort, and I am beyond happy with our pick for location! The resort was amazing and of course the lake makes for a perfect backdrop. Leanne was also absolutely amazing answering all questions I had leading up to the wedding weekend and during the weekend. And thank you again so much to Leanne for controlling our music during our ceremony! HIGHLEY recommend South Point Resort, beautiful place and great people!

Great place for a family vacation. We stayed here in July 2018 for a week along with friends. Friends camped on one of the waterfront sites and we stayed in Cabin 2 (2 bedroom). The cabin is dated as you can see on the pictures but is very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Our cabin was located right across from the waterfront sites and there is a seperate waterfront site with picnic table allocated for this cabin which was great. We had hot weather so the lake was refreshing and kids enjoyed jumping and slidding off the floating dock. There is no cell service at the resort and Wi-Fi was limited to around the office area and was very slow and some days didn't work at all. The owner has indicated they are trying to get an upgrade but things don't move as quick in rural BC so it was good to be "off the grid" for a while. As with most lakes on the Cariboo, come prepared with some good Mosquito spray, especially if you will be staying in any of the sites under the trees. Overall a great family resort with friendly hosts. Will definately consider going again.

Absolutely terrible, disrespectful and rude owners. Refused to honour a credit due to a cancellation (rained out). Would not recommend supporting this business at all. In response to your comment, what I stated in my above review is that you refused to honour a cancellation "credit" by way of telling me that every possible date (for a whole year) your resort was booked up. My husband called a week later, not mentioning our credit and magically there was vacancy. You screamed at me on the phone, hung up, acted dissmisive and blatantley rude and walked away with my credit money. I'm disgusted by your lack of customer service, and just respect for your customers and my review of you business stands strong.

I have been going to the Ponderosa with my daughter and granddaughters for 19 years. This year was a bit of a challenge because some days we had more smoke then others but we still had a wonderful time during our 17 days, it is my happy place. I love our hosts Wolfgang and Karen and their daughter Jessie they are always helpful and want our stay to be special. Normally clean fresh air and lots of great lakefront to be able to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the lower mainland. It is my granddaughters special place to go as well so I am sure they will keep going even after I am unable to go. Thank you.

I have been going to the Ponderosa for 19 years with my family. I am 75 now and treasure every year I still get to go to my happy place. I find Wolfgang and Karen and their daughter Jessie to be wonderful hosts and always wanting to help make our usually two or three week stay the best it can be. This year maybe was a bit more of a challenge with some smokey days but my granddaughters still managed to get lots of water time everyday and skied and learned to wakeboard. We find the place well maintained. Someone said about the gravel, yes it is a lake not the ocean we always come home with a few of those rocks a lot more when the girls were small. It is not a spa like resort it is a family friendly place were everyone can relax and enjoy themselves. We were evacuated because of a fire last Sat. Night sorry to have missed some of my time this year. Try it out it just might become your happy place.

Not sure what the previous person was complaining about, it's a full wheel barrow load of wood for $15. The resort was very well maintained, and tidy, and the owners were courteous. The water quality in both the lake and on the resort was great! We had a beach site, and our kids thoroughly enjoyed playing in the water for the entire day.

The grounds are very poorly maintained and dirty. Absolutely no privacy and very over priced. Who pays 15.00 for a bundle of wood and 1.50 for a 5 min. Shower. And the water is brown… The smell of sewer was disgusting!

Great campsites, friendly hosts — a really pleasant place to spend a week or two in the summer.
