Amazing place to stay for a family trip. As guests we received such awesome customer service. Friendly environment and just overall a great experience in Banff, their hot tub / pool reminds me of a miniature hot spring, it was so relaxing. I highly recommend this place. Affordable and beautiful hotel for 3 stars rating. Will definitely be back in the summer.

The hot tub is excellent and they are doing a good job managing it for covid times. Concierge was generally really good.

I have been staying here for over 10 years. It’s perfect to skiing, great breakfast, easy to park, great atmosphere in the bar in the evening and a hot cave pool to relax in the evening.
It’s a short walk into town but great value for money!

3.5 stars out of 5 Front Desk Staff and Management were great! The evening staff at the restaurant and lounge were great! The daytime staff were poor. The restaurant needs to review their menu and the quality of the food served. There are a lot of choices in Banff and for the price, they could upgrade the rooms, as well as the pool. The housekeeping staff could put a lot more effort into making guests feel comfortable and appreciated.

Very rude front desk staff!
The hot tub and grotto was shut down 4 days prior to our arrival and we were not told or informed until we arrived. Rooms are dated and very small, lamp shades were cracked and broken, light bulbs burnt out, while showering the tub doesn’t drain and ends up filling with dirty water and soap, toilet seat also cracked and hanging on by one hinge and bring your own pillows there’s are like cheap small throw pillows for your couch.
You are given a parking pass for the hotel but no open spots available to park, so you still must park blocks away on the street.
After Explaining my disappointment to the front desk staff 3 times and having to ask for a Manager I was upgraded to a larger room with a king bed and small kitchenette which IS the room I described above.

My wife and I had hoped to have a nice relaxing weekend getaway, but ended up more frustrated and stressed after a stay at the Fox hotel.
Over all a very disappointing experience and will never stay at any property owned by the Banff Lodging CO again.

Absolutely the worst hotel stay I have ever had. First the underground hot tub is complete closed off and we were told it had been this way for 3 days but no one called us to let us know and why else would we want to stay there if it wasn’t for the hot tub for $180 per night. Then at 8 in the morning we wake up to water just pouring through the roof into our bathroom from the room upstairs, then to finish it all off the manager was the rudest /unprofessional jerk I have ever encountered. Totally the worst time ever and they refused to refund our money. Such a rip off and never going back.

Was not impressed when we stayed here, got a premium suite and spent a lot of money to stay here. It was filthy! The carpet on the main floor had dirt that would fly up if you dropped your foot on it from the couch, the walls were dirty and wallpaper was peeling. The side tables beside the bed were missing paint and looked like they had come from a yard sale and there were gobs of hair on the wall of the shower. I brought this to the attention of the management and they offered me a discount to stay again lol umm that’s never going to happen. Still have the heebie jeebies.
The grotto spa was very nice tho and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Great place — walkable from town, clean, friendly staff, nice ultra large hot tub in a grotto theme and the continental breakfast was really good. If you want to take public transport the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Food at the in-house Chilli’s is decent and plentiful.

Really lovely hotel and very helpful front desk staff! Maria, in particular, went above and beyond. We had confusion and changes in our travel plans multiple times for multiple reasons, but she helped us make adjustments, find excursions that were awesome and perfect for each of our abilities and interests, and when I left a backpack full of things I needed before heading on to Glacier National Park, she had them sent to us. She was patient, always maintaining a positive attitude, and she was a great problem solver. There are several levels and stairs at the hotel (not many, not an issue for most people), which were a bit of a challenge for my dad who is older and has mobility issues, but other than that the gardens were beautiful, the room was nice, and it is in a perfect location in the heart of Banff. Wonderful vacation, highly recommend!

Clean. Good staff. But not a 4 or 5 star location. A few people we spoke to stayed a few door down and had a better price, much better included breakfast. We on the other hand pay 3 dollars an egg. Like I said the staff was nice. Location was clean. Frankly if the breakfast was better I would likely have given them a much better rating. For these prices it seems they are racing to cut corner. I will be stay somewhere else next time.

I absolutely love staying here. It's a short walk from downtown and underground parking is great. This was my second stay and it's just such a beautiful hotel. The service is super friendly and the rooms are incredible. I was fortunate enough to have a complimentary upgrade on the room, which made our anniversary getaway even better.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is very well situated. Easy to get to, parking was no problem and it is a quick walk to the central hub area of Banff Ave. The rooms are nice and clean with lots of amenities. Unfortunately the breakfast started after I had already checked out so I cannot comment on that, but to say a 7am start for a breakfast is a little late especially for a town that has so much to do that starts early (hikes, skiing etc). The hot tub is very nice as well. Really big and a neat grotto theme. I would recommend this hotel to others and will stay again.

The Fox is remarkable in regards to the room amenities and cleanliness. But what really got me was the insanely accommodating staff. Super friendly and willing to go above and beyond for their guests. Got upgraded and sent a free bottle of wine when there was a minor problem with our suite. Will definitely be back. Plus it's walking distance to downtown and The Keg!

The hotel is in a great location. Just a few blocks walk from the main drag. Our room was cozy and comfortable. They have an underground hot tub that we didn't get to try but it looked amazing. We will definitely be back!

Very comfortable, the suite is very large, the price is very cost-effective, the room is clean and tidy, downstairs hot spring is also very comfortable! Very close to the hotel, the shops and the mountains! Very convenient!
Breakfast was very common. But there are some details that make me feel very comfortable!
I put my clothes on the bed, and when someone came to clean up, I folded my clothes together, which surprised and made me very happy!
Public women's toilets in the use of small boxes of female supplies, convenient for people to use at will, very intimate, many big hotels also did not do so perfect in the details! Thank you for bringing us a wonderful place to travel!

The lowest priced room was well kept and clean and plenty of room for 2. The spa was the main attraction and it delivered, besides being spacious and unique it was hotter than a regular hot tub much like a hot springs. The little included things like the bus pass and breakfast were bonus.

It was amazing… one of the best experiences in any hotel anywhere in the world. Beautiful hotel! The hot tub is unreal! The suites were immaculate! Would recommend and probably stay there again next year and many more!

The fox is a wonderful hotel, friendly staff, hot pool is excellent. Continental breakfast, decent value. Shower pressure and heads need updating. When hotel is packed there is only one elevator for staff and guests to use, so longer wait times. Towels provided for the pool could be refreshed to newer. The hotel restaurant, Chili’s was delicious, great atmosphere and very friendly wait staff. It was a pleasure to dine there. Overall experience was fantastic. This hotel is one of my favourites and I make a point to stay here whenever I find myself visiting Banff.

We had a good stay at the hotel. It's easy to get to, a quick 10 minute walk from the downtown of Banff, and has a cool indoor hot tub modelled like a cave. The rooms are decent if dated, doors are accessed from the outdoors, beds are very comfortable. The in room TV is dated but gets the job done. Showers have weak pressure and the bathrooms have only one small light. Cleaning crew left our door ajar after cleaning up, and upon finding it we called front desk immediately. They were very apologetic and provided a discount for the issue. The next day's resulting cleaning job was unfortunately mediocre, but at least the sheets were changed. Overall we had a good stay at the hotel and would probably stay there again. Front desk staff was always very nice and easy to deal with.

Been there many time, the staffs were very friendly and helpful. There were 4 adults 1 kid and a baby. Our suite have more then enough room for the playpen which the baby sleep in. They answered many question and helped planned our trip, booked cable car ride, etc. One time, our baby lose her pillow and they UPS it to our home. The underground hot tub was cool and the place was clean. Breakfast was decent and good size of options. The parking is under ground and it on the left side of the building so just FYI.

I would say excellent to them if I give the five stars but as far as the attention to cleanliness of the rooms, here if they lack above all in the bathroom, do not leave shapooo and soap every day, and is what is used when there are more than two people staying in The same room but in the end deveria to improve that.

We had a stay of 3 nights at the Fox Hotels and Suites and I don't think we could have enjoyed more at any other place. Perfect views from the rooms, perfect services, perfect staff. 5 stars for sure to these guys! I would definitely recommend this hotel to people looking to enjoying their stay at a nice place.

Just great. This hotel has been one of the best investments. The payment for the rooms was totally fair. Comfortable and clean room. The facilities are although small they are perfect and functional. Great to have a chili's in the same hotel the dinners are epic. The girls at the front desk are very attentive especially a girl from Venezuela who helped us a lot. She helped us book our city tours, the nature reserves and the purchase of the shuttle back to Calgary airport. Just great they always passed us to the lobby. And it is a super plus the fact of having a pool that looks like a natural cave of super hot water, in winter it is great to arrive very cold and get you to this place!

Hotel is pretty much what you would expect. Rooms are a bit small but fully functional. If you are skiing there's no boot room or driers but the ski bus stop is close.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were really nice and it was very flattering when we were upgraded to a penthouse and the staff there was very helpful and friendly. It was my first time staying here and I will be planning to book another stay here all because of the services I received! 10/10

We originally we're going to be staying in a king suite, but upgraded to the penthouse loft when we got there, which was a pretty good deal. The loft was nice, but honestly could use some maintenance. There was a little wallpaper peeling, one of the door handles was broken, but other than that the atmosphere was nice. A pretty significant problem was the shower/bath situation. We actually moved our reservation to the Fox because we wanted a room with a tub, and we were pretty disappointed with how tiny and shallow the tub was. Also, the water pressure was a huge issue in the shower, it actually was almost impossible to use for a good shower. Other than that, the bed was super comfy and the view was quite nice.

Comfortable rooms and accommodating staff. When we made a complaint they rectified our concerns immediately. The cave themed hot tub is open to the courtyard creating a unique experience in cold weather. The basin could use a little TLC but it was still very enjoyable. Heating in the room is responsive. The continental breakfast is great and includes waffles. Our stay also included a bus pass and coupon booklet. We've stayed here twice and would again.

We stayed at the Fox for 6 nights, and overall our experience was very positive! The staff were AMAZING, both in the motel and in the restaurant/bar. The rooms were small-ish. But comfortable. A small bar fridge would be an awesome addition. The free breakfast each day was good — a typical continental breakfast — not a wide variety but hey, it was free! The last few nights, the room above us was a little noisy — I thought we were the top floor but obviously not — there must have been a loft apartment?! We had a lot of snow while we were there, but staff maintained the walkways and front of the motel very regularly. Was a good 10-12 minute walk downtown. But there is a cheap bus that runs a very regular route if you get tired of the walk. There is a laundry onsite, which is very handy and fairly inexpensive. Would definitely recommend Fox! Thanks guys! And thanks Carlos. You were a legend! This guy went out of his way to make sure we were happy!

The Fox is a beautiful building, the room was clean and cozy, and the hot spring in the basement is beyond cool! The beds and shower were great!
However, given that our room faced the inner courtyard, and there is a large picture window as well as a glass-paned door, it felt strange to have people walking by (yes there are pull down blinds, but still…). Also, the warm was warm in the night with no a/c, and the windows don't open. It's an expensive room, and I wouldn't want to be there in summer.

The hotel has a very nice anaesthetic and vibe to it. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff was very welcoming throughout our stay. The best part is the hot tub that is styled like a hot spring. I would stay here just for that!

Great stay over 2 nights. Very clean, no bad odors. The hot tub (very large) is awesome in the winter, it gets very steamy as it mixes with the fresh outdoor air in the ceiling above and creates a great atmosphere. The included breakfast is good and includes fresh fruit and waffles. Would definitely stay again.

Fun hotel. Nice cave style hot tub. But changing room, hot tub area were not clean. Your room key gives you free local bus which it was handy on chilly day.

Great place! We had our honeymoon in one of their fourth-floor suites. If you can afford it for a special occasion, book the top level suites. There's a loft and it feels like you're in a cabin. Good view of some nearby peaks too. The hot tub/pool is very cool as well, but the ambiance can be ruined by people's loud children who they're not keeping an eye on at 8pm. I will also add that the free continental breakfast at Chili's may be the worst I've ever seen, so we had to bail and go get some real food (I've been to lower-tier hotels that have bagels, cream cheese, scrambled eggs, and sausages, while this one had… cold hard-boiled eggs, wet bananas, toast, yogurt, and waffles. But that's more of a lazy Chilis problem than the hotel's. ) Very unique inner courtyard as well, and friendly staff.

I guess piece and quiet costs extra. This is the noisiest place I have ever stayed. All doors open to the inner courtyard and you can hear everything. Whenever someone walks by, they might as well be in your room with you. Each room has adjoining doors and they don't hold back any sound either. Last time I pick a place because the pool looks cool.

Really enjoyed this hotel. The split level suites are really nice and the room was very clean. Had a good view from our room, but higher up would have had a nicer view to get some building out of the view. Simple but good breakfast.

Good. Hotel, the best its relaxation area, by the same the dimly lit rooms, bathroom with tub, lacks views at least to all rooms from the 401 to the 415, the service is exquisite and the village is magnificent.

This would be about the fourth time staying at the Fox for mine and my wife's anniversary, the King Loft suite is the room we normally book. We have an reservation for this Friday — Sunday Oct 2017 for our 16th year anniversary! The large Cave style indoor / outdoor Hot tub / Sauna is a great place to sit and relax, the complimentary continental breakfast is worth ever bite. Lots to pick from and great food!

Nice architecture. The hot pool is awesome. Other facilities like the gym is good to have. My room was very spacious, though the price wasn't particularly cheap. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, that is centrally located in the heart of Banff. Onsite Chili's restaurant is convenient albeit I am not a fan of their Tex Mex offerings. Rooms are a good size and comfortably furnished.

Very happy with our stay we stayed in the connected suite room. Parking and breakfast was included. I would recommend offering a breakfast menu you can order from. Staff was all very pleasant. Grotto is awesome! Very happy with our stay.

Super cozy, quaint and convenient to the restaurants and shops! Lovely scenery surrounding. Only complaint is no central air conditioning so bedrooms get stuff at night despite opening windows to let in the night air. Otherwise great stay!

Spacious suite. Amazing hot pool. Conveniences like included breakfast (simple yet good), small kitchenette, and laundry. Beautiful property right on the main street of Banff.

Staff is friendly and helpful. We were in a king loft room. The room was comfortable with a fireplace, sitting area, balcony, and kitchenette on the first floor. The kitchenette has a microwave, fridge, coffee pot, and electric hot water kettle, as well as dishes and silverware. The bed is upstairs in a loft area overlooking the downstairs. A TV is mounted over the fireplace and also on the wall across from the bed. The bathroom is also upstairs. The pool is a large hot tub, which is nice, but there are just a couple of small benches to sit on. Pool towels were in the changing rooms, but seemed to run out quickly. There is also a sauna and some showers in the pool area. Breakfast is a typical continental with three Belgian waffle makers served in what is Chili's later in the day. The hotel also included passes for the Banff Roam bus. The bus picks up right in front of the hotel and we just needed to show our room key. You can take the bus to get to-amongst other locations-downtown Banff, the Gondola, or hot springs. If there on Sunday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse is right behind the hotel.

This hotel is very underrated and we were extremely happy with our stay. We arrived at midnight and we were quickly set up and we were able to get some sleep. The attention to detail in this hotel is great with all of the fox branding. The wood accents and the swimming pool in the middle are all gorgeous. And so are the peaks visible from the fourth floor. So pretty. Feels like you're sleeping in a cabin. We got a free bus pass which was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our only complaint is the breakfast. $2.75 for bacon? Those on a gluten free diet have limited options already and that's overcharging. Besides that, great hotel.

In Many the reviews bad and instead we had a great time during our Canadian white week. I admit that many of the group have had problems for the reduced size of the rooms, but to me this time it has even touched a two-room apartment with kitchen, needless to say how comfortable it was.

Good place, underground heated parking, the hot tub area is very cool although I am disappointed with the lack of real hot springs in this town. The staff were nice and very accommodating. The breakfast was make your own waffles, which I liked, but not many other options if you don't like waffles or don't want to eat them every day.

Quite small and dark, looks like a motel a serial killer on the run would rent when hiding out. They claim free parking, but there is barely any parking spots in their lot, and most likely you will be parking on the street. Free contiental breakfast at chilis is what you expect I guess. There is a hot springs in this location, but fills up at night.

My family and I had a wonderful two nights at the Fox Hotel & Suites. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were very cozy and spacious and staff was extremely pleasant. The hot springs underneath the hotel were great. The only disappointments were the lack of options for breakfast and bad Wi-Fi connection. Regardless, would highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Banff!

Pros:Very nice location, free parking, beautiful and cozy lobby area, the Chili's restaurant is right inside easy to access, rooms are comfortable and clean. The cave is just superb. Hotel is kids friendly. Cons: breakfast could be more generous, at least bacon and scrambled eggs included.

Great location. The hotsprings that they advertise is only a pool and a replica of the pool at the hotsprings museum in Banff. The chilli complementary breakfast was so-so.

Want to give a shout out that I enjoyed my stay with my mom and step-dad during Sep. 24 and Sep. 26. Enjoyed the Grotto hot spring. Whoever thought of incorporating that feature into your hotel was a genius. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. If I ever won the lottery, I'd incorporate a "grotto" like that into my place as part of my "Man Cave". I wonder how the open ceiling in the grotto deals with inclement weather (snow, rain, cold temperatures) but it's amazing to just have a soak in the grotto and gaze through the ceiling into the night sky and see the stars. :) Loved the rustic appearance of the timber logs and stonework that gives that cabin feel and charm of the overall complex. The Chilis' restaurant was excellent for dinner and the breakfasts. Had fun with the waffle machines as I've used them before elsewhere and the batter was excellent consistency. I did find that the toilet in my suite was a little under powered with the flush cycle however. The silhouette foxes at the top of the bed reading lights are a neat touch that I also liked. Since my mom and step-dad's suite was connected to my suite, I was hoping that we'd have the connecting door unlocked but we did not get the chance to ask to have it unlocked as we were travelling together during our stay. On our itinerary for our vacation from Sep. 19 to Sep. 26, this hotel was the only hotel that we stayed at that had the suites accessed from the outside.

Fox Hotel & Suites is our go to in Banff. Staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable too. The hotel is right on the main ave, just a short walk into the downtown area. There is also an elevator, a/c and a nice hot tub. Highly recommend it!
