Slow service, food order took forever, then saw it sitting for over 5min before it was picked up by server just to come out burnt & had to return it to be cooked again😡.

Wow wonderful little motel. Rooms are clean and quiet. Very accommodating to our little basketball team. But the restaurant is amazing. Truly great homemade food, reasonable price and huge portions. Highly recommend for anyone passing through!

My daughter and I went for breakfast this morning. Wow! Everything cooked perfectly and everything tasted very, very good. I think breakfast at the Sandstone may become a monthly event!

The Sandstone is amazing both as a motel and restaurant. The food is excellent. I recommend anyone hungry before the border to stop here. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Rooms are a good price and the beds are mega comfy.

When we pulled in to the town of milk river to this place, I almost expected there to be cigarette burn holes in the room. Immediately when I got into the room I realized it was a lot better. The beds are comfortable, but by far the best thing is the restaurant. I had the best Italian panini I've ever had — and the breakfast was no worse. It is also conveniently located — 5 minutes from a campground or pool, and 30 minutes from writing on stone provincial park. Would definitely recommend.

Putting this review up again for second time. Reason is that I was told by some young snotty nose rude girl that works there that I WOULD be kicked out if I never. Here goes folks. I was in one of the only 2 kittchenette units that they have there and it was absolutely terrible. Bathroom sink clogged, fridge not working properly (maybe purchased in the 70's) mechanism to turn shower on was broken (she told me it was just a little fenical to operate) plus the ants where unbelievable. Coming in underneath the door to outside. You could see light coming in and the steel door was actually falling apart. The so called leather couch was actully peeling off. Not fit to sit on. Disguising. Pictures on their website is from unit 20 that was newly furnished. Not unit 21 where I was. Be aware. I do have to say that the restaurant has good food at reasonable prices and good service.

Stayed for a week while waiting to get back into the US. Awesome, clean hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great meals every night, breakfast was on point as well.

Food decent. Service is a little slow. Waited along time for the check. Even after I stood at the counter. Had to find someone in the kitchen to ring me out.

Love the food. Especially the Sweet Chili wrap. One thing that would be great is if you posted your updated menu to your Facebook page. To help out those of us who misplace the take out menus.

The service was good. The hotel is well maintained & a quite & lovely place. The receptionist is a very friendly person. Only minor dissatisfaction was my order of chicken wings were really overcooked. But other than that it is a very good place. There is a gas station as well.

This is a super friendly hotel that has been recently modernized. It's got a great little lounge with a great little restaurant in it as well. I think it's the best place to stay in town.

Burgers are excellent I suggest getting the jelopino burger.

I stop here regularly to eat and perhaps have a beer in the bar. The food has always been good and friendly staff.

This review is of the restaurant only (I didn't stay in the motel) : the décor was dated, but so were the prices, so I didn't object at all. Food was very good — I'm wary of small-town restaurants (there's not a lot of competition around to push them to improve), but this place could easily be put closer to a city and could still hold its own.

Was visiting a friends who were staying there. Only saw the room they had booked and nothing else. Seemed like a pretty typical motel room.

Room was good for the price, and the restaurant food was good as well if not your basic pub menu. The service was very slow though, waited over 45 minutes for food because there was a large party in the lounge.

Hotel was good. The rooms were clean and well equipped. However, the exterior grounds of the building were unkept and some genuinely dangerous hazards for toddlers like my 2 year old son were present like the jagged glass still sticking out of the non-existant patio window for the outside restaurant dining area (seemingly no longer in use). A couple of little things like that but ultimately a really great place to stop in :)

Great last minute place if you need it, though the receptionist is not there all night so you will need to be able to call the number and then they will check you in.

The owners take extra care to make this place lovable! Clean, well kept and tidy. Food is amazing and the staff is friendly!

Came in for a beer and steak. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection, mid rare with a great sear. This is the second time I've had this meal and definitely won't be the last.

5 stars for the service, hospitality and room condition. I had to stop there for about 3 hours while waiting for my family to cross the border and their staff is beyond courteous. I had a 5 week old baby so they opened up their premium room which was nothing less than at least a 4 star hotel. Didn't charge me a dime for it. Will recommend it to everyone planing to stay before or after crossing the border.

Clean updated rooms with laminate flooring and comfy beds. There is also a restaurant on site which I did not have the pleasure of enjoying during my last stay but it looked like good homemade food.

Was there around xmas time last year. Wings were awful, had no kinds of drinks that I wanted like vodka even. Meal was not good & service left a lot to b desired. I wasn't expecting 5 star but really? My friend couldn't even get a to go box, had to take it home in a napkin. We could have left without paying, that's the amt of attn we received.

These folks were great. I got turned away at the border when I bought a new truck. At 1130 the gentleman who helped me was super friendly. The room was clean and had everything I needed including microwave and fridge. The bar was well stocked, and they had good TV service. For the price, and location, I expected less. Also, comfy beds. Downside was the rooms were showing their age.

Ordered the boneless wings, Wow! real big pieces. This could have been appetizers for two. Followed up with the BBQ pork rib sandwich. It was not crowded and the food was hot and served by friendly waitress, bartender, hostess in one.

Room was decent. Maid staff walked in at 8:50 in the morning while we were still in bed, than again at 9:15 when we were getting dressed, very embarrassing. Check out is not till 11, so if you want to save yourself embarrassment, sleep with your clothes on. Asked for management to call me concerning this problem and got no response back, GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will not be staying there again.

We ride motorcycles. We checked in late in the evening. It's the only game in town. It is expensive, but motels were generally more expensive everywhere we went this year. The place has new owners, a young couple who are in the process of renovating the place. Our room was clean and well-enough appointed for a motel room, with TV, microwave, and coffee-maker. The breakfast was basic, but satisfactory. It's a good place to know about on the way from Calgary to Montana. I would stay there again.

Stay the hell out. The room was not clean when I got there. The bed and the bathroom were dirty and the staff charged my boyfriend $150 on a tip without our consent when we bought 2 cokes and didn't keep the receipt. My guess is they just wrote it down themselves (not counting our normal charge for the room).
