HI Kananaskis Wilderness - Hostel Hostel

Great place. So happy there. Great trails winter and summer. Go to Peter Lougheed PP for excellent XC Ski trails.

Just back from our yearly week long stay at HI Kananaskis. We are always made to feel welcome and appreciated. Our time is spent biking and hiking in the area and the hostel feels like a home away from home at the end of each day. Looking forward to next year already.

The location was beautiful and open, very clean and service was amazing. I would defiantly think about staying there again.

Great little hostel that feels very rustic. Place was clean and very relaxed. Fire pit outside was a great feature. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Kitchen space was limited so keep that in mind when planning meals — good luck getting all your food into the fridge. Staff was friendly and helpful, would definitely staff there again.

What a great wilderness hostel! Private rooms available. And excellent for groups. This HI location is well managed and well maintained.

Rooms were fantastic! Everything was neat and the view was great. Service in the lobby was wonderful. We felt welcome from the beginning to the end of our stay!

My niece had her wedding at this hostel. I have to say I am completely impressed at this place. It was not only clean, but larger than I expected. The pictures in the website do not do it justice. The scenery is breathtaking. Most of all, the manager, Anita was very welcoming and friendly. She was very flexible with the rules, but also made sure people followed any rules that could disrupt the natural balance and beuty of the surrounding habitat. She was very sweet to deal with. I would definitely recommend this place for an event or if you are just passing through and need a place to stay.

Great hostel. Clean kitchen, nice lounge with fireplace and couches to relax. Close to kananaskis village.

Spent a day here when a snow storm hit. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the hiking, skiing and other activities in the area. Anita, the manager, is a fantastic host and makes sure all the guests are comfortable. She welcomed me and showed me around during my stay.
