This hotel is something to be desired!
From the moment we pulled into the car port I was a dissatisfied customer. There were people smoking right outside the doors and the entry way was littered with butts and garbage. Checking in was a gong show… when I booked our three night stay I booked a package on one night that gave me 4 breakfast vouchures and 2 taxi vouchers to Rogers Place as well as valet service. The customer service rep also gave me a package on another night that included 4 more breakfast vouchers and 4 waterpark or galaxyland passes and tossed in 4 extra breakfast vouchers. The CSR also stated that we would be able to valet park when we got there and leave the vehical until we left, seeing as we didn't have to drive anywhere during our stay…
At check in they didn't have a room available for us and took about 10 minutes to move things around to make it work. We were advised we could only use the valet on the night we booked that package and even if we wanted to pay for valet it wasn't an option because they were full. We ended up just parking in the mall parking lot and ultimately we had vehical trouble *because of the cold weather and no place to plug in* so we weren't able to move to valet at all. Even hotels that charge $99 a night have plugs for the majority of there customers. The valet parking also would not have alleviated this issue with our vehiacl as valet parking is not a guarantee plug in either. This the prairies for God Sakes! — 20 is a nice day in the winter!
When we got to our room, although large, it was nothing spectacular. I believe it to be a shity renovation. Both days the bathroom and hot tub were left less than questionably clean. I had to tighten the handle on the shower door and the door didn't seal so it leaked water.
We paid well over $300 a night for our room and other than the amazing breakfast at the L2 and galaxyland passes that place was a complete joke. It was convienent to be at the mall but not over $300 a night convienent. Please consider staying somewhere that is more affordable. This hotel is not worth the price you pay whether you have the money or are going on a budget. Finding a more friendly hotel off site is definitely the way to go. You will probably get better customer service, a plug in, decent breakfast and a pool*you don't have to pay to use*
Also, the taxi vouchures were only $25 a piece. The traffic wasn't terrible and the total was about $24 so if traffic had been any busier we would have had to pay the difference. Add on to our total the taxes and about $300 for our vehical issues and that cancels out all the *Free* stuff they gave us!
