Would not recommend. First off, my name wasn't on the reservation just my wife's… even though I'm the one who set it up and got a confirmation email with my name on it. Not really the fault of that particular hotel probably but still. It didn't affect the stay but was odd. Family went to use the pool and most of the lights were out. Tried calling reception from the phone in the pool room but the phone didn't work. Not a big deal but if there had been an emergency, that wouldn't be OK. Other than the beds being hard, everything else was so so. It's about average cost wise but probably not worth it. Won't be back.

Well priced, clean facility. Decent pool and hot tub, good gym, free continental breakfast was pretty standard. Room was a good size and clean. Bedding was really nice and the beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was big and spotless with a nice deep tub. Amenities were on par. Front end staff were awesome, friendly and helpful. Would have been a 5 star experience had my 6ft phone charger not gone "missing" :/

Large clean rooms, close to the event centers we were using. Easy access from the highway and good service. Complimentary breakfast was good too. Important when traveling as a family as it saves us a lot of cash. Would recommend this Inn.

Often stay at Hampton Inns. Quiet and clean. We stay here most often. This one's rates are best in Edmonton area. Nice and close to south Common shopping and restaurants. Their Continental plus kind of breakfast is fine but we often just hop next door to the White Spot for great food for all meals.

Great front end staff and cookies when arrived. Room is great but is next to the elevator. Would think that the nicer rooms would be a bit away from all the noise.

Clean hotel, well located (close to a good steakhouse). Not new but we'll maintained. Good breakfast (huge breakfast area) and staff was very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Good breakfast spread with waffle-maker. Carpet and walls in room could use a brighter colour — made the room look dark. The kids enjoyed the whirlpool. Overall a pleasant stay.

Great hotel, clean, and in a convenient location relative to the South Common shopping and restaurants. The breakfast is included and is actually very good for a hotel breakfast and includes waffles, fruit, meat, eggs, etc. My only complaint is that sound from the hallways comes into the room. Kids were screaming in the morning running in the hall and it woke me up every morning. Overall great experience.

My family stayed with Hampton Inn Edmonton South last year when my sister fell seriously ill and was sent by emergency transport to an Edmonton Hospital. The staff opened themselves up to each and every need we had with kindness and beyond expectation services and accommodation. During another current health crisis we turned to them again. My niece is alone handling matters this time so I wanted to send her something to her room to cheer her up. When I called to arrange it with the hotel they remembered us and said it would be their pleasure to do it as a kindness and refused to accept any payment. The room is beautiful, the food is customized to your preference, the hotel personnel are warm and friendly and now I can attest that they are first and foremost genuine not just dollar and gratuity driven. They are super STARS in my opinion.

Awesome stay. Place was clean and well kept. Pool was the perfect temperature and breakfast was definitely better than average. Great stay.

Great location. Close to South Commons. Great restaurants nearby. Front desk staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Rates are reasonable. Pool is good for young kids. Hot tub is a good size. Room was clean and neat. Decor is modern. Hotel is in good condition. Breakfast has a good assortment of fun and healthy food.

The place is great. Rooms are great. Pool was great. Workout center was good. Overall beat hotel.

The staff is very attentive. Free water bottles are delivered To the reception. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Good heating System. The Bathrooms Are Super well equipped. Good mattress and duvet. The breakfast was very good. They Have the connection system to heat your car. Internet Connection included.

Rooms were clean. Comfy beds. Double rooms are a bit small in the width department and the single king is a larger room however the TV is across the room and hard to see. Had a lot of channels on tv. No slide in pool. Decent pool tho and hot tub.

Had a nice 4 day stay. Free breakfast in the morning and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Free coffee in the room. We had a nice stay.

Excellent wheelchair access is far better than most hotels, including many that are more luxurious and expensive. Friendly and helpful staff. Large, well appointed rooms.

This is our go to hotel in Edmonton. The service is excellent and the breakfast is a great savings for our family. It is in a convenient location. The price is good with AMA discount. The rooms are larger than most hotels and the extra space is appreciated.

The rooms were clean and prepared for the event. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well taken care of. I enjoyed my time at the hotel and I would definitely go there again.

Only stayed for one night for business purposes. Spacious room, courteous front desk staff, located on the south end of Edmonton. Pool and exercise room available. Breakfast is available which was quite good, several hot items to choose from… pancakes, waffles, cheese omelette, sausage patties, and oatmeal. Cold cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, muffins, and loafs. Hot drinks and juices too. Free newspaper and open area to sit and eat breakfast with plenty of tables and chairs.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are nice. The hotel is very clean. Wi-Fi works great. Nice breakfast included. Great parking. Easy access coming in to Edmonton. Great pricing. Overall great value. I will stay here again.

Staff did not provide us he rooms we had booked and becuase of number of guests they could not correct their mistake. They had provided us a discount on our rooms becuase of the mistake which is why I am giving 3/5

I have always liked the hotel manager. He is very responsive to inquiries. But I'm happy with the room cleaning staff this time around. Because I'm staying for multiple evenings. The room cleaning staff decides I don't need service and doesn't come to clean. I have asked multiple times, but still nobody shows up.

Terrible experience. TV doesn't work properly. Batteries in remote are nearly dead. Fridge hums. 80 degrees in the room. Airconditioner growls. Our room (120) is next to public washrooms so every time somebody uses the paper towel dispenser it sounds like somebody is crashing through our wall. Not satisfied at all. Breakfast buffet update: fruit is compost, paper coffee cup leaks, bone chip in my wife's pork patty. Overall satisfaction even lower now.

Stayed here for the better part of 8 months. Staff took good care of me from start to finish. A hotel chain is a soulless beast, but at least if the management is good there is some humanity to it.

Good room, good tv, shitty Internet. Really. 2015 and I can't get an internet signal of any strength. Had to tether my cell phone. Bad. As a business traveller this is a deal breaker for me.

Booked a room with "two man jacuzzi" tub in suite. Arrived and no jacuzzi. I call to question it and front desk basically calls me a liar as "noone would say they had a jacuzzi tub, especially her friend" that just went home on vacation to the Philippines. This babbling idiot at the front desk talked so much I had a hard time voicing my concern. Finally she said what do you want me to do about it. I provided her the correct response and said good night. Room was OK. Night staff was friendly. Pool and hottub were good. Morning breakfast was very poorly thought out. Sub par food items (fake eggs, greasy sausage patty and soggy french toast stripes). I opted for a bowl of lumpy porridge. Coffee was fresh. $200 for a room and feel that I should have stayed somewhere else. Next time. I will.

We booked a 3 night stay in Edmonton through Trivago. We were sadly disappointed when we realized the dates were not confirmed with the hotel that we requested, and then were told that the was room was booked for only one night when we arrived! I will never use Trivago again due to the lack of service when we tried to sort this problem out. However, we had a wonderful experience with a staff member of the Hampton Inn. Prapiti was on duty at the Hampton Inn when we arrived. We explained our situation and she was incredibly empathetic and hospitable. We were both tired of the run around with Trivago and Prapiti turned around a very frustrating situation. Although not her problem, she called other hotels to see if there was any rooms available for the following 2 nights, and ensured we were confirmed before we left check-in. We were very impressed with her assistance and understanding and am thankful that she was there. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Our room was quite impressive (awesome bedding! ), super clean and having Wi-Fi was great. The breakfast was absolutely amazing; such a selection and everything hot and delicious!
