We were warmly welcomed by all the family and staff at this small, comfortable guesthouse. We had 5 nights in a clean and spacious room on the first floor: breakfast of fresh fruit, tea/coffee and a hot, cooked course was served on the rooftop. This was also a great spot to sit and relax (and watch the rain! ) after a busy time in the markets or a long day at Angkor. It's located in a quiet backstreet near other guesthouses and a residential area: but close to good restaurants and walking distance of the National Angkor Museum. The owner and his wife were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for the ever-smiling Rosa. Highly recommended.

Golden TaKeo Guesthouse is a family-run establishment. It is located in a quiet side street and there are several shops, eg supermarket, pharmacy, within walking distance. I liked that you were expected to take your shoes off before entering the guesthouse. This meant that no one traipsed dirt into the building and the floor was clean. Our room was also very clean and we had a wet-room type shower room. Two pairs of flip flops were provided in the room. They came in handy when showering. We had a few tasty meals in the rooftop restaurant. They were freshly cooked to order by a sweet lady called Vin, who sang quietly to herself as she worked. The owner, Prom, is very knowledgeable and was able to advise us of a quiet temple to visit (we were the only 2 tourists at the temple). The bar area, Pub Street, is about a 15 minute tuk-tuk ride away. If you want somewhere quiet and clean to stay, that is reasonably priced, you can't go far wrong staying here.

Really nice family! Rooms are very clean and cosy! Breakfast is good! We stayed two days! Prices are fair! Perfect if you want to visit markets and bars. Just a couple minutes away with a tuktuk from the temples!

Had stayed here 5 times but had not been back in Siem Reap since 2013. Have had friends and family stay here in the last few years so knew that I was in for a pleasant stay again. We were going to stay for 9 nights. Again, the rooms are spotless, cool, and comfortable. A breakfast cooked to order on the roof terrace is a wonderful way to begin your day served by the lovely smiling staff. This place always feels like home because the owner lives here with his family. There is always a relaxed atmosphere. Prom, the owner, can book all tours and activities for you so that takes the stress out of organising things and he will arrange breakfast eArly for you if you have an early pickup. Location is only a 10 minute walk to town across the river and we preferred to do that rather than take a tuk tuk. The street is very quiet at night and you feel you are away from the touristy side of town. You can just see ordinary people going around doing their every day thing. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. There are also plenty of eating places within walking distance and it is an easy walk to Common Grounds coffee shop if you want a good coffee or drink in air conditioning. Also Wi-Fi is excellent. So if you want an inexpensive, friendly, relaxed guesthouse to stay in I highly recommend this place whether for a short or long stay.

The owner is very nice and helpful. Highly clean room and tasty breakfast. I booked a tour to Angkor Wat from the guesthouse and also a bus ticket to 4000 island (laos). The owner helped with all this and he is very lovely man taking the best care of customers. The guesthouse is near by atm, restaurants and a grocery. Would definitely stay here again.

The Golden Takeo is one of the most attractive and peaceful guest houses in Siem Reap. Into the bargain, you get great food, a roof garden and top-notch service. Plus, it's a very safe space and reasonably positioned on the edge of town, down a quiet lane near Wat Bo. If you want a lift into town or Angkor, you can rely on the in-house tuk-tuks. If you need advice on almost any subject, the scrupulously honest owner, Prom, who speaks fluent English is your man.

A wonderful guesthouse with comforatable beds. Breakfast is included in the price of rooms and served on the roof top. The staff is very helpful and can book tours and transportation for you.

The owner is very helpful. If you get a ride here from a tuktuk do NOT tell them you want them to pick you up tomorrow or agree to go with them anywhere. They are trying to scam you. Just go inside and talk to Prom, the owner. Its very clean and like most other guesthouses you shouldn't wear your shoes inside. The restaurant on the third floor is also very good with nothing on his menu exceeding $3.
