I had booked a room for a week in May 2017 and received confirmation for my booking. I arrived… and found the hotel wasn't actually open, but closed for repairs. I was not notified of this. I arrived, tired from the journey, to closed doors. With the help of a compassionate Bulgarian person, the manager was finally tracked down. Instead of apologising, he was quite rude. I managed to find a room in another hotel nearby at short notice. I had difficulty getting my money refunded. And to top it all, the manager then accosted me in the street to tell me that his hotel was now open again and to demand that I leave my current hotel and move back with him. Uh, no. When I declined, he got very nasty.
