Pool not working, barely working and cold SPA center.

Never! At 5pm they gave us a dirty room and because we were dissatisfied they decided to make us regret that we ever came! We were left to wait for dishes and water almost 2 hours and told us that fried potatoes are not being prepared that fast. At the same time they were serving the same on other tables. The person who was on every position in that hotel invited me in the kitchen after begging him for any food. That was more than ridiculous and it is definitely not a joke! The same guy asked for our room number and when we told him, he said that didn't matter. For 2 people we had 1 mini shampoo, 1 hair conditioner, only one shower cap and no shower gel!

There was no hot water during our stay. After complaining at the reception, the staff were not willing to assist us in any way. We wanted to communicate with the hotel manager, but the staff didn’t want to cooperate with this either. No complensation for the inconvenience was offered. I spoke with the woman who is in charge with the acommodation and all reservations and she said that she will meet us after breakfast to discuss how they can compensate us, but eventually after waiting for her for more than two hours she didn’t show up. I would recommend to the hotel manager to spend more time on staff trainings and teach them how to communicate more professionally with the customers!
What is more, half of the spa center was out of order, the pool tiles were starting to fall. The hottest sauna could be turned on only by the spa staff as written on a sign on the door, but there was again noone to do so.
Basically what we got for all the money we paid was only a bed to sleep in.
The meals in the restaurant were highly overpriced which is the reason why many of the guests prefered to eat someplace else. If you visit the hotel and wonder where to have a meal, I would suggest that you go to the restaurants which are located on both sides of the road to town Rila. You will spend extra 10 minutes to go there but surely you will find yourselves in a much more pleasant atmosphere than in the hotel's restaurant.

A hotel of high pretensions and small possibilities.

The best hotel If you want to relax in front of the nature. Staff and the food exceĺlent.

Very nice and clean place. The perfect location close to Rila Monastery gives you a choice for many hiking paths. SPA centre is very clean as well and there are a lot of different rooms in it. The staff was very kind and friendly. The breakfast was good also. Perfect place for family weekend!

Good deal (quality vs price when off season), the hotel was pretty much empty when we stayed there. Extremely clean, helpful and nice staff, not all of them speak English but most of them do. The included breakfast is quite typical and definitely quite dense (plenty of meat and cheeses). A couple of annoyances though : they warned us the power would be cut off the next morning (although it's the city's fault) so we had to rush a bit, no massages available and no hairdryer available. Very nice spa and multiple options (steam, hammam, dry sauna, etc. ).

There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, the tiles in the swimming pool were coming off, the jacuzzis were working but were filled with freezing water, the food for breakfast was of the lowest quality possible, the staff in the restaurant spoke only Russia… this hotel seems to have opened before it was completely finished. On a positive note it seemed clean, and one of the two ladies at the reception was actually very welcoming and nice.

So nice and relaxing, set on this mountain so peaceful and quiet, you can feel the pure oxygen, no words can describe, you have to go and feel yourself, the hotel is modern and luxury with all needs, it s very clean and food is very good, the spa is excellent too with all facilities so go and try like I did, you won t be disappointed!

Comfy room, great view, amazing spa comfort and relax — all of this located at beautiful mountains and forest views and surrounded by history and tradition, together with the must seen UNESCO Heritage — Rila Monastery.
