We come to this hotel every time we come to Rio/Copacabana. It is nice and close to the beach and a grocery store. Very clean hotel and friendly staff.

Awful, disappointing,. Staff don't care, are rude. Noisy and in need of a good refurbishment. Pool is disgusting. Can't fault the location thought.

Basic amenities for the price. However good location, rooftop pool is a bonus and staff are extremely helpful and multilingual.

Excellent accommodation! The perfect location 4 blocks from the beach, the subway opposite and all the bus lines with easy access, impeccable attention we had an inconvenience with our suitcase we lost the key and they helped us with a lot of kindness and we were sorted out! The view of the terrace with the pool is wonderful, the rooms very comfortable. One would be impeccable. Highly recommended!

Very nice Hotel. Just steps away from the beach. Pretty crowded. Good attention.

To highlight good location, small terrace with pool, lounge chairs and a nice view. Breakfast was very good.
Spacious rooms but the smell of humidity abounds, cleanliness leaves to be desired, elevators work poorly, Wi-Fi without signal (only walked on the terrace).

Great location Price cost phenomenal. Yes well has a little older facilities one comes here to the beach not to watch TV. And if you're all a receptionist who speaks totally Spanish.

Excellent location On the corner is the bus and subway terminal. In 20 min You will reach Barra de Tijuca by Metro. Four blocks from the beach (position 3) Hotel simple but neat. Comfortable. Of good care.

Location good. Someone in the staff stole my camera so be aware.

No sign of Wifi, pool too small and without enough chairs. There's no cable TV. Old TV with bad signal. Old and shabby furniture in room.

The Hotel was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bad Wi-Fi in the room. It's more of a three star than a four. Good value for money It is advisable.

Horror, hotel old and without proper maintenance… The air conditioning in the rooms has old engine noise, pieces communicated by a space where you hear everything… Good breakfast but the rest horrible.

We loved the hotel, the staff very attentive and friendly. The rooms are quite large, exceeded our expectations. Only the facilities are not modern, they stayed a bit in time. But desp all excellent.

O went there to pick up muito tickets to carnival at sambódromo. The place was very well organized.

The hotel atlântico Copacabana has good rates and excellent and it's excellent location might be one of their strongest features.

The hotel is very old. It's clean. Old and uncomfortable beds. A thin pillow per bed to hard to sleep. The pool is small but nice with a view of the city.
I was only one night. It's not a hotel to stay longer.

I don't recommend it, it's pretty old. It is a hotel of the years 90 that was not re modelled, had an old air, a square TV, the Wi-Fi worked very badly. For the price it's not worth it. If you are going to go I recommend paying a little more or choosing someone else.

Pesimo hotel, old infrastructure, staff little empatico. Book a Room "luxury", which in reality of luxury had nothing… very sound air conditioning, very old bed, sheets and towels in bad condition, TV that did not work and smell of humidity everywhere. Very small pool Considering the number of people who stay in the hotel, and also poorly maintained. Internet with lousy signal.
Be careful with what they charge of consumption in Frigobar because they charge more than used.
The only thing I rescue is the good location, opposite the Metro and 3 blocks from the beach Copacabana and breakfast that is abundant.

Very nice hotel. Although the facilities in general are a bit old, I emphasize cleanliness and order. We really enjoyed our stay at the place. Very friendly staff at all times. The breakfast was excellent. Excellent location. Close to the beach Quick access to the Sugar Loaf, to Christ the Redeemer, to the Maracanã stadium. Our experience was very good. Recommended!

Good location, confortable rooms.

Hotel was at a good place. Close to the beach, near supermarkets and restaurants that stay open late, in between the touristic location. Fast room service. Only had a problem with the key card holder for the room that keeps the power on and cuts it off when you remove the card which they sort of resolved. Tv Cable access could be better.

It seems this hotel is stuck in the 70s. Furniture is old and run down, TV's are old and bedclothes obviously old. It's clean though, but not worth the regular price. However, Rio is expensive around this area so it might be a deal for someone. Internet is good, Wi-Fi works fine. Check the room before settling to make sure it's up to your standards. We asked for another one. Staff is polite.

Good helpful staff, good breakfast buffet as well. Had a problem asking for extra towels that was quickly solved. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately we chose this hotel, every day had to ask for towels, and hygiene items, demand during the 4 days of the solo up without having response In the days that we stayed only cleaned the room 2 times, did the beds and limpiabamos us already that the claims were not. In the room of my daughters had bugs we complained and they explained to us that it is the problem of all the summers, changed 3 times of room, and one worse than the other worst was 12.30 in the night and still in a bad way tell us that it was that, or if that had no other available. When we arrived aboné a part with a debit and the other in cash, at which time they make me sign where was my mode of payment, when I ask him to give me a copy I say that it is not necessary that this is all cancelled, at the time of leaving, I want to re-charge and tell him that I was cancelled to find the person who had done, communicated by phone and I replied to apologize that he had forgotten to give me the receipt that I had claimed, but before the way not to trust my word was quite aggressive and pushy. We don't go back but was not pleased nor bothered to enforce the orders. We stayed in the Astoria for the same string, it is excellent, nothing to see, it was a very great disappointment.

Although it has a good location, rooms leave enough to be desired. Had problems with air conditioning, TV was small and old and what was more unusual was that you had to pay extra daily in order to use both the Wi-Fi and the safe in the room. Finally, when we left, I had a need to make an urgent call and they were not able to give me the phone. A very bad experience for the price I paid.

The truth is that I did not like us, not performing us the cleaning of the room, the room they gave me super girl uncomfortable, very noisy, the air conditioning was not air was a fan with an unbearable noise, they were not towels had to ask! for the Wi-fi 15 reais charged it you by day and security 6 reais per day box, nose that service speak, the buffet was not good quality of what you served! in one week I did not change or you sheets them! All you understand, but when you do some claim there not you understand! I do not recommend it for the price leaves enough to say!

To be a 4 star left me disappointed. The bad attention, girl room. Missing towels, they charge you the Wi-Fi, the air is noisy, tube tv, heard it from other rooms as if they were on your side. The elevator takes a life! I am not to much, but quite the opposite, but this hotel left me a lot to be desired.

UBER FAKE WEBSITE! Rooms DO NOT correspond to pictures… AND… No hot water (per say) in shower, pillowcases with stains, no outlet plug near bed, TV from 1980 (that I like actually, it reminds me childhood), crazy music "selector" near the bed (5 channels…), internet is 15 reais / day, uber noisy air conditioning… It says toilets were cleaned, I guess I'll have to trust them… Really it's a shame I can't join pictures, but even hotels in middle of brazil with one client a year are better featured :-D.

We stayed 13 people and we were all very well taken care of. The comfortable rooms and very good attention from all the staff. You provide a secure place to store the luggage all the time you need. Super recommended.

The breakfast is great very varied, the Wi-Fi costs R $15 (2015), and works for 24 hours.

The service is very good, personal very friendly and competent, the breakfast 10 points food fresh fruits I can't complain and so people who speak very well various languages.

Lack of free internet for customers.

The hotel seems to get a lot of negative reviews, for its location and price you could do a lot worse. It would not be my first choice if I had options but I am staying during Rio+20 where literally every hotel is booked. There are a lot of positives, even though the rooms are dated they are clean and are comfortable. The electrical outlets are 110/220 which is very convenient for my American electronics and all of the basics are covered. The beds have a low thread count sheet and no blankets on the beds, but you wont need them as the A/C has the nobs pulled off and only runs on what seems to be a fan only. The charge for internet is R$15 per day, however if you go to the lobby and connect to the wireless for free, you can then come to your room and continue to browse at no charge (no, I am not cheap, I just HATE paying for the internet! ) The rooftop pool has an amazing view, you can see Christ the Redeemer statue from the rooftop which is an awe inspiring view. There is also a limited gym which is a nice amenity. The location is just a few blocks from the beach and there is a supermarket across the street as well as many other shopping options. The low income housing surrounds the hotel, but it does not feel unsafe. So. Here is the reason I rated the Service terrible and also a word of warning.

Use as last resort. The location is 'ok' at best, it's within walking distance to the beach, but the surrounding neighborhood is definitely not an attraction of itself. The hotel seems to have been constructed as a luxury hotel in the 70's, and has absolutely not been updated since. You will notice the same rotary phone in the bathroom, the same light switches in a panel by the bed. Everything is the same as the 70's. The rooms are really small, and I was pretty scared by the elevator's sketchy operation. Also being high in the air did not make me feel comfortable given that the entire hotel seemed lacking in maintenance. There are other hotels that are much better. If you have no other options, this will work for a night, but is definitely not preferable at all.
