This location is charming and quiet. It has very comfortable beds pillows and quilts. The central courtyard / dining room is largely open to the sky with the sound of song birds everywhere. In warm weather the swimming pool is very pleasant and refreshing and the spacious grounds provide an atmosphere of privacy and tranquility. In cold weather a fireplace in a lovely common lounge adds warmth and conversation and reading are the usual pastimes. I love being at the Poneloya and would not prefer to stay elsewhere especially as this hacienda style ranch house is so much less expensive than other hotels in the area.
